if these anons dont even have cell reception how are they navigating? They were trying to hit multiple points (traveling past sundown?) and have nothing but google maps. They arnt on established trails. Also how are they going to stay out for several days navigating by cell without a charge?
so in other words, we've heard nothing 100% verifiable from them in over 22 hours as far as we can tell, there's a chance that they made a post while running from glowniggers, who then may have deleted said post, assuming it was ever made. in addition, the entire journey was under 4 miles round trip, yet they have not returned to their cars. well this is concerning.

USGS topographical maps (very rough ones) of the area are available in the public domain. They had a couple of these at least.
we're talking really rough topo. like 200m increments. that's almost unusable for anything but triangulation. so it will work, but be prepared for problems if your compass skills aren't great

Yeah m8, they are about as rough of maps as I have seen, and given how disorienting those rises and gulches can be north of Salton Sea it would be very easy to get lost or have an accident. ffs I think they were searching at night too, which I wouldn't even want to do with a set of PVSs. Way too easy to slide down a wash and break your femur.
