No, they got fucked because they didn't understand how the law works between Federal and State levels. A State can't shield you from enforcement of a Federal law, and that "the feds aren't allowed to do anything to you" claim in the State law is invalidated by the Supremacy Clause.

A state can create laws that are more severe than the federal government does. A state can choose to set its laws lower than the federal is at. However, Federal Law will always have status over that state law, and the state can't just say "you can't enforce it" because of the Supremacy Clause.

There's also apparently a ton of expensive pain in the ass issues with packaging laws, since they keep being changed in "legal" states. I'm afraid the story is not that interesting. The joke is that the photo is misleading - in reality Leo 2A4 is the one that is towing T-28 and where they are going is up the hill to that newly build open shelter.
As mentioned place is Finnish Tank Museum. T-28 is not in running order (none of the T-28 that are in Finland is, but hopefully that will change one day), while Leo 2A4 is one of the very few museum tanks that are still in active service and therefore spare parts are easily available if anything breaks. Also what I have been told the running gear in that T-28 was kind of stuck, which caused bit of problems.

Opposite. Supremacy clause means federal statutes will always take precedence. However it's up to the DOJ to enforce this. Hence the hands off approach to weed "legalization". The DEA isn't raiding smoke shops, but those shops have to be cash only because banking = interstate commerce, and the Feds WILL hammer any banks that process debit/credit card transactions related to drugs.
