Does Britain have superior combat vehicles compared to the United States?
This would include tanks, armoured fighting vehicles and protected mobility vehicles.
Personally I think the Chally 2 is superior to the Abrams in most respects, but I'd like to see what the esteemed weaponsmasters of Jow Forums have to say on it.
Not sure on the other American vehicles (Bradley, M113, Stryker, etc).
I'm not familiar with the Challenger but just going off the Wikipedia page (I know, point me toward better info) it seems like the Challenger is significantly slower and less armored, especially compared to TUSK, but has a superior gun. That said, >To date, the only time the tank has been seriously damaged during operations was by another Challenger 2 in a 'blue on blue' (friendly fire) incident at Basra in 2003 when the damaged tank had its hatch open at the time of the incident. gives it a better track record than the tank that was destroyed by a piece of cardboard lmao

The Challenger 2 isn't superior to the Abrams? It has a better gun and better armour.
Alexander Stewart
Not necessarily, my tank and patriotic autism disagrees. The Abrams and the Challenger are actually on par in terms of armor and firepower at this point. He Challenger’s gun has a higher muzzle velocity, but the newest variant of the Abrams has greatly improved shells, which give it similar penetrating power. In addition, thanks to its two-piece ammunition, the Challenger reloads a bit slower on average I think. In terms of armor, while the Challenger was originally the better protected tank, the Abrams has had extensive upgrades, which I would say probably have closed that gap. The Abrams is also faster, though it guzzles fuel like a motherfucker. So I would argue that the Abrams is better even if the Challenger looks better on paper. They’re both breddy gud desu
"Ha ha! You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders - the most famous of which is "never get involved in a land war in Asia" - but only slightly less well-known is this: "Never start a thread with an image more interesting than the text"! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!"

Nice thinly veiled /aco/ thread, faggot. Why don't you go to Sweden and get culturally enriched by a pack of niggers if you love crossposting and shitting on other boards?

>better gun Abrams is better vs serious armor (apfsds>HESH) and better vs infantry in the open (canister>HE). Chally is more versatile in that it's better vs old tanks/APCs and buildings while still being decent in all other roles, the Abrams kinda falls flat in this regard because we never bought any straight HE rounds (though they exist). This is the main reason they went with a rifled gun and HESH. Really hard to say definitively that one is categorically better than the other.
>armor SEP2/TUSK is much much better protected than any of the Chally armor packages.
