Anyone here have the S&W Governor? I'm interested in buying one for a .410 handgun to deal with snakes and it's ability to also shoot 45 colt and 45 ACP impressed me.

I do. I shot food with it.
won't the food be spoiled by all the lead? or is the shot made of some other metal?
Yep, I've got one. I have a few Taurus Judge models too, which is what the Governor is a copy of.
Very handy for short-range pest control. I rarely bother to shoot .45 out of mine, I have other guns for that, but if you want the flexibility it's there. There is no question the Governor is better quality than the Judge. That said, the Gov. is only made in a 2 1/2" chamber whereas the Judge can be had in a 3".
>>he's never eaten wild game before
You avoid the shot, and if you do encounter a piece just spit it out.
>won't the food be spoiled by all the lead? or is the shot made of some other metal?
It's Federal 4 shot defense load, but it goes right through them so I'm not sure. But I think it's lead.
It's snowing up there already?
yeah, that's my question, won't this minute contamination by lead residue eventually accumulate in your system and make you rarted? I assume it's not a problem otherwise we would've heard about it already and millions across America wouldn't be happily munching down on game meat
No. Some of the tree leaves haven't even changed color yet.
Also that was an old pic.
Don’t let the memes fool you,
It’s worth every penny.
Nice
Ah that's kinda a bummer that it can't take 3 inch shells.
It's pretty much on the list of guns to buy right now. Only downside seems to be that it can't take 3 inch shells like the Judge can. However the Judge is you know... Taurus... So oh well.
Is there any advantage the Governor has over the Taurus Judge?
Whats wrong with that rabbits foot?
It isn't a Taurus

What a fag
>rabbit
>feathers
way past your bedtime kiddo
Honestly this. The governor is no questions higher quality than the judge, but remember that the judge IS one of taurus’s best money makers, and having handled one it definitely feels a cut above their normal offerings.
The difference between the two is less “trash vs acceptable” and more “basic ruger vs a good dan Wesson.” The governor is nicer than the judge, but there’s honestly nothing really wrong with the judge, and both will do what they’re designed for.
Also the public defender version of the judge looks pretty cyber-punky and apparently that’s the hot new look right now.
I have one, its a fun gun. Look for a deal on a used one as they're a bit over priced for what they are imo. I got one used for 500
It's a grouse, those are super deadly talons.
The Governor can fire .45 ACP, but more importantly the fit & finish is better due to being a Smith.
Some people will complain about current S&W quality, but it's still better than Taurus.
I've owned and handled Taurus revolvers. They're not bad, but you will notice the difference in quality.
