You know the drill: discuss camo and militaria, show off recent surplus store finds etc.

Never thought I'd find randomly come across a Swedish M90 leather jacket heh.
Why is it that no one ever posts any other militaria?
There is nothing but jackets and camo shirt/pants in these threads.
Beats me famalam.
just got this for 5$
the zippers fucked
Does velrustruka or whatever that finn site is called accept visa gift cards?
>tfw no surp store
Cause thats what most of us collect.
If you enjoy military history, broaden your horizons.
Who knows what you might find.
I think they do. Try it.
because it's just three deeply autistic individuals circle jerking their own narrow interests
Also not wrong.
So i got an M70. very nice jacket and pack. Does anyone make Alpenflage scrim netting?
Thanks trenchgunfag, this fits perfectly and I love the camo.
have you two made love yet and if you have which one were on top
I didn’t even know who the shit he was or that the guy I bought this from was a channer until I posted it here a thread or two ago
Glad to do business with him
I'd post more gas masks, but those typically get their own thread (although they tend to get shit up pretty bad)
Dat baby face tho. What a qt.
Filter makes my facial features less distinct and more potatoey but thanks
>Why is it that no one ever posts any other militaria?
I could post some of my stuff
Is that a confirmed legit dagger?
No prob man!
Do it!
What happened to they TGF thing
Just got these, M93 parka Serbian, M5A1 bayonet Danish, and Bundeswehr winter gloves.
what size and what manufacturing date for the parka? I can't seem to find any yugo militaria in size XS exept those postwar parkas
Made in 1999, Height 170cm chest 96 cm.
Fuck, thats one size too big. did you buy it online and if yes from where?
Yes i bought it online, from desertrat(dot)se , however that is a Swedish site so if you want a parka shipping might cost you a fortune if you are American. Also mine was a lot cheaper than the ones left on the site for some reason, mine cost like 30 dollars the others cost at least 50 dollars.
Nah that's no problem, I'm german. Thanks.
Is the Sympatex flecktarn parka/rain pants combo any good? That's going to be my go-to rain gear and I want to know on what level I can rely on it. Also, is there a better camouflage for Oregon? Thanks
Be aware the smallest size left is 172-96 though.
Hey, concrning that shop, can I get a rundown on swedish army sizes? I have a swedish m90 uniform but the sizes in the shop are completely different.
Our jackets use height and weight, for example 180cm height 85kg weight. Other countries use other measurements, what does your m90 uniform say?
Nobody on Jow Forums has any taste or knowlege of real militaria (ie things of actual historical importance that aren’t aggressively marketed by fellow surplusshit bugmen or not found as a chinese copy in a modern surplus store).
I don't mean the m90 measurement, I already konw that one.
I meant older stuff like the M58 uniforms. Some of it looks like normal eu sizes but "C22" confuses the fuck outta me.
It's more the fact that no one that's active in areas like phaleristics are simply too wealthy or old to be on Jow Forums. I myself have quite an interest in it since I do ww2 reenactment, but I can't really afford many interesting or rare awards in college.
I only had that on cause i was too lazy to type out my name on the phone.
This. Non uniform militaria from earlier then the 80s is not cheap. Doesnt mayter what it is.
Lack to taste is to blame. Nice things cost money, as it always has been. If you truly cared you’d save up but clearly the degenerates here don’t.
Yeah, sorry i do not really understand all of it, but i if i remember correctly the letters signify how big the waist is increasing numbers means bigger waist, that's all i know.
Also the fact that while an award, medal soldiers diary etc. Might be interesting from an historical perspective, it has no practical use, an uniform, knife, rifle or bayonet has practical applications.
yo just ordered that one hoping to get some patches with it how heavy is it?
Bullshit
Price of NAZI militaria =/= price of other militaria.
Stop looking on Ebay and visit some garage sales and local antique shops.
All of pic related came out of a small wooden foot locker I found at a antique shop for $60. These all came from a guy who was at Iwo Jima. Also, in the box, not pictured are 3 recon photos of Iwo Jima before the battle.
1. I live in Germany, the only buyable medals and awards here are pre-1945, everything else requires a license.
2. the only militaria/antique shop near me only sells trash and weird knockoffs.
3. garage sales don't exist here
I have some Flecktarn and Swiss alpenflag as well as a 1930s german type helmet I'm looking to sell
Not too bad heavier than a hoodie. Tons of fucking pocets
>antique shops
>cheap
Garage sales around here are shit. Anything good goes to estate auctions.
Hey do you know of a way to get the snap cover things to stop rattling? Unless it’s buttoned up, those things on this Will rattle a bit if you move, and the sound is annoying. I’d rather not have to wear it always buttoned up if I don’t want to hear that
>need to have a license to buy a medal or award
Holy fucking shit. How can a country get so cucked?
That's snap buttons for you. You could try a little bit of super glue on one of them. See if that fucks it up or not.
Best place to get Multicam and Badlands camo patterns? My town doesn't have any military surplus stores.
Let me suck your cock and I will pay you in camo uniforms.
Guys I am looking for some wet weather sort of parka and was hoping I could get some recommendations from you folks. Pls
What's all this then.
I'm sure there are people ready to pay at least 5 digits for a dagger like that.
Yes. Its an unmarked WmW "Weyersberg Max Waffenfabrik" one. The crossguard is a Type A "tomahawk style" and the pommel is a Type B after Wittmann.
Okay
Hopefully not but there are always people the paying way too much.
The pommel
The lower part of the sword knot
And the whole dagger
Other perspective
And back
A Norwegian home guard battledress jacket (dated 1973, size 52K) and a Swedish officer's M90 leather jacket (dated 1993, size C52)
Isn't it the same in the US? Especially with stolen honor being that prevalent, I doubt you can just buy a medal of honor in the next antique shop without any legal paperwork.
Do you happen to be a Czech?
I collect helmets, uniforms, caps, belts, boots, mess gear, personal equipment, backpacks, period literature, swords, rifles, badges, pistols, gun maintenance kits, gas masks, revolvers, coats, binoculars, vintage reloading gear, gloves, mugs, documents, tools and jerry cans. I probably forgot some. Then there are the non-military collections. Every new acquirement now must answer positive to question number one: do I have room?
Ebay.
Selling the MOH is illegal. Everything else is unregulated.
OH alright if you insist
Two NorK Periscopes pulled from wrecks in Angola and part of a British tank periscope. Got an adaptor for centurion periscope somewhere too
Whats the oil bottle in the back? I've got one in perfect condition but not sure what it is
Thanks user, this looks beautiful. Do you mind saying how much you bought it for ?
The one in front of the malaria thing? I have a couple too. They are unmarked. Best as I managed to find out they were for the maintenance kits for the M1919.
Ew it's Toby
Yep that's exactly it, thank you
Correction. MG1917, not MG1919, according to this. But it might be used for the 19 as well.
Apparently it came with several MG kits, including the Vickers too
Do you mean the British Vickers or the US one? Not that they couldn't be the same, but even so.
Dunno, was just going off this
ebay.com
How do I get my hands on some Marina Trans Jungle/US4CES?
How comfy are these M90 parkas? Would anyone recommend them?
You don’t. Some people have gotten extremely lucky, but their cases are flukes and your best chance is to buy it from them at 500% markup if they’re even selling. One guy here says a Mexican Marine misplaced his uniform at a joint training exercise with US forces and the USN ended up boxing it up and shipping it to the States along with a bunch of other misplaced shit, so that’s how he got his.
Pre-war Puma. Blade in general, notably the engraving, has seen better days. Not too bad for $200.
No but I am from around that general area
Yeah, I know half of these are civvie masks, but they're still somewhat relevant to this thread.
After all, people in the English-speaking world tend to think of all CBRN gear as being inherently military, mainly because civil defense was never a huge thing in the West (unlike the Soviet bloc where all major workplaces had stockpiles of protective gear and people were regularly required to take part in emergency drills).
What’s the one on the far left?
(checked)
Your left or mine?
Avon FM12 and GP-5m/PMG-2, respectively.
Beautiful.
I bought it together with this uniform and evaluated the dagger alone with 400€.
Thanks
Gorgeous Panzer officer's dress tunic.
Lieutenant Gruber would be proud.
Do you ever do any metal detecting on old battlefields, or have considered it?
(checked)
Those oldschool USAF shirts look slick af. Something about those blue insignias on OD really tickles my fancy.
OD utilities were iconic af. My next goal is to get a full color SAC badged shirt. The air force used to litter their uniforms with patches and insignia.
Unfortunately flight related uniforms like flight suits and bomber jackets sell for insane amounts if they have so much as a nametape still attached to them.
Aww yiss. Patch-heavy utility/camo uniforms are always super cool.
I've got an OD M65 coming in a day or two that's pretty saucey, but I missed pic related not too long ago that I regret.
I've got a question for you. Your sexy Brazilian lizard windbreaker is dyed or not? It looks a lot darker in your pictures than it does in any other rare sighting of the jacket.
Nah, maybe just slightly darker than normal but it's not dyed. It was a factory defect however.
What's this camo called?
Very nice.
