Hey guys Im writing a story about an American getting stuck with a few russian camp goers in the 1980's and has to work with them but I cant quite get the banter right. Ia there something I can read up on to draw inspiration from?
Cameron Wright
Poll is still open, comfy in the lead, but a few votes could change that. I'll start writing around 8pm today or so. Note: "concerning" will involve Jow Forums style trauma strawpoll.com/ge6e4kar
Heya write fags, I was reading JT's Ise/k/ai story and have the hankering for something related to that or like it. Any suggestions? >literally anything even light novels help me please
I know what Isekai means you retard, I was asking about JT, I am not aware of any isekai by her.
Ryder Morgan
Go to the last thread and see who's the retard now.
Chase Roberts
you are almost certainly referring to JD, not JT
Samuel Perez
We have a whole thread devoted to the concept here user. We're trying to make it a real general like this one but more specialized, and with plenty of good crossover
Isaac Richardson
>ask about JTfag doing Isekai (I double-checked, didn't find any by her in her pastebin) >people start explaining the concept of Isekai & advertising another thread
Isaac Parker
>all because one user misspelled a name kek
Anthony Perry
just in case you are still having trouble understanding a very simple matter: JD_user ≠ JTfag
Henry Collins
'misspelled' then failed to notice the difference even when it was pointed out to them?
My next chapter of a mandate from heaven is done but it will take much longer comparatively for the next one. Should I post it or post an older short story instead?
I've had a bit of a bother lately and am for the moment only really moving in a wheelchair, hence the "don't go" things

Okay due do an Exchange program with the russian government a young American man is sent to a pioneer camp for teens. The sole intention being to gather intel on the general russian view point and gather info on the nuclear bunker conveniently 10 miles from camp. Something strange starts happening at the camp, creatures that wilt the very trees and make someone die of sickness from a brief encounter. Its up to them to save themselves.
This user gets it Lewding the Cocoa will cause the DotR to occur for whomever lewds her
So, the votes are in! Comfy Cocoa: 21 votes (75%) Concerning Cocoa: 4 votes (14.29%) Creepy Cocoa: 3 votes (10.71%) Comfy wins by a landslide. As a note, creepy was going to be skinwalker related and concerning was going to be gun gore about makarovs that we're discarded, factory mistakes, and those rusted due to improper packing in cosmoline, which would have been traumatic way to go about it
Expect an update tonight. Not much, but an update.
It might look a little bit disjointed, I have to work on that. Sorry if it throws people off.
Jose Jackson
I'm hyped for it. When will the first of the comic be illustrated?
Isaiah Phillips
When I get word back from this artist. I got three projected cost sheets from out of state/country artists but I have more interest in seeing if I can get local guys.
Jose James
Would you recommend becoming an EMT or something of that sort?
Dominic Reed
Ahahahahahhahahahaha hahaha ha!
Hudson Adams
I'll take that as a no?
Jose Allen
Worse. Have you ever seen the mosins that fully disintegrate with rust over time? It would be like that, a slow death being corroded slowly in a confined space with no escape, all while Cocoa would have to hear their calls for help and cries for a quick death. Either that or stories about weapons being seized and destroyed like with pic related
On another note, not sure if I mentioned it, but Cocoa is pronounced ko-ko-ah (ここあ), cause I'm a fucking weeb so deal with it
Anyone remember the mecha-wolves operating in afghanistan story some user wrote?
Jayden Sanchez
more not heaven please?
Samuel Bailey
I wrote a horribly-edited story about a marine who'd lost most of his limbs and transferred his consciousness into a walking terminator with a robotic dog, operating innasandbox with his old unit (who don't know it's actually him).
Do you like the idea of going thru an associate's where the fail rate is 30% and passing grade is 86% so you can have more responsibility than a nurse yet get no college accreditation and only make 15 bucks an hour? (Or less)
Is it okay if I post the link to my filthy and degenerate Warhammer 40,000 fanfiction about an Imperial Guard officer in this thread?

What’s the best way to write a gunfight for people not familiar with guns? Obviously the average Jow Forumsommando understand what a Galil is, but the average reader might struggle with terms like “suppressing fire” or “battle rattle” if they aren’t explained to them. Any tips or tricks regarding this?
Chase Watson
I think it depends on what the gunfight is contributing to the story; theme always comes first, so base it around what the purpose of the scene is and then work up from there. Otherwise, focus more on the sensory input, how things move quick or slow, heat, noise, sweat, maybe describe it like an exercise?
I don't think that was it, but if anyone wants, I can post the old screencaps.
Easton Jones
Thoughts?
Owen Wood
Yeah, or this one That's nothing compared to the factory machining mistakes being "dealt" with, pressure and torture tests, or being an FTR (I'll explore this one more with the next character), that's where the real gun gore and darkness comes in
Oh shit. Things are really hitting up. Really like that James guy. Fucking meme machine supreme.
Luis Martinez
Next update for Don will be a slow progression into the main arc and his flashbacks to high school.
Grayson Brooks
James will absolutely be everyone's fan favorite, but parks being a closet weab is pretty funny.
Was don a former meat gazer? To make sure I'm following correctly, this safehouse is being done by the mystery suitcase man?
Parker Bailey
Yes.
Don's arc covers this- I need to actually move that along.
Basically, mystery suitcase man is a small part of a larger machine but one trying to work with and for Parks without downright destroying their own work.
I'm basically a neet now anyway, so it will happen soon
Jose Johnson
different user, please explain
Nolan Evans
something something squid
Ian Rogers
what squid?
Aiden Rogers
Mon-ika I guess somehow that's a joke in Japanese, something about squid and Monika must really like it, but doesn't make sense in english.
Jayden Baker
It's the translation: Mon-ika is squid in Japanese, so she hates being called squid, since the game is trying to represent a translated Japanese VN, where it's actually a English VN. That's why she says "that joke will be lost in translation". Funnily enough, the game was translated into Japanese for JP players. An English VN that was 'Translated' from Japanese has now been translated to Japanese for Japanese players[YouTubers] who have been translated back to English for American viewers.
