I'd say yes, but in a unique way. Guns are fairly unique in that regard because of how easy it is to put a shotgun in your mouth compared to the pain of cutting your arteries open or planning to hang oneself. I'd much rather see two statistics tracked, firearm homicide and furearm suicide. Especially since that would point out 2/3 of gun deaths are suicide.

This map is not as accurate as it should be because of how other countries report homicides.
For example, England doesnt count a death as a homicide until someone has been convicted of killing that person. Which means you have a large amount that go uncategorized.
Mean while in the US, it is categorized as a homicide at the time it happens, no matter if someone is convicted or not.

Gun deaths by suicide are more than half of all gun deaths. It's an important statistic in terms of suicides. However, when somebody lumps suicides into a gun death statistic and then uses that statistic to cry about about mass shootings or homicides and guns then that person is being a fucking faggot.
