where i can i order a decent stabber that isnt china or india shit or costs 6000000 dollars

>decent stabber
>isnt china or india
>costs 6000000 dollars

GOOD LUCK.

I will say, at lest with in the sword community, China does not always mean shit. In fact the vast majority of functional, decent quality swords, come from chines forges. It's just a matter of knowing what brands are good at what, kind of just like flashlights actually, there is a tremendous amount of shit flowing from China, but also some of the best ones, some even better than the super expensive non-chines ones.

It varies by what kind of sword you want, but in general $250-$500 is a good entry level price for historically styled functional swords.

What kind of sword are you looking for? I can probably make some recommendations. Also there are some okay sword forums such as SGB.

>It is further believed that it was intended to be used in frontal-type assaults.

What about conceal carry?

It was also believed that the knee mortar was supposed to be fired from your knee. As it turns out, people in general and GIs in particular believe a lot of really fucking stupid shit.

ERGONOMIC

If you read it in The Mask's voice it gets even better

I have one of these, it's nice but almost more a miniature lance than a sword.

Attached: P1908.jpg (1639x1229, 611K)

Probably an 1860 pattern Cavalry saber. Something with a slight curve and a good guard.
The sweeping cuts of cavalry saber fencing look elegant and intimidating at the same time.

Absolute trash unless you're on a horse, and then it's only slightly inferior to the one it's copying.

Literally just a copy of a polish sword

>Doge
I just got that.

Jokes on you, it will be banned within your lifetime to prevent rape.

I dare to disagree.
I'd carry either a Polish saber, because it's light, and muh heritage, or a viking period sword, because it's the one I have some training in.

Attached: 20170901_182900_resized.jpg (3096x1742, 2.33M)

but probably the saber, because 9th century swords were meant to be used with shields, and those are rather inconvenient to carry around, unless you're about to raid a village or something.

Attached: 20170904_130825_resized.jpg (3096x1742, 2.85M)

>muh heritage
Sabres were copied from the turks, then mass produced by germans. (Yeah really, scholagladiatoria has something quite buttflustering to say about german blades on indian and eastern european sabres... but I digress). They were also a weapon for cavalry or people with little martial training (see cutlasses, dussacks, messers). A trained fencer would prefer a straight or at best very slightly curved sword.
...
But I am german and somewhat biased in my own way, so don't just take my word for it.

If I HAD to pick one...

>very slight curve
>only partially double-edged
>dat handguard
>dat grip
>dat pommel

I want that.

I WANT THAT.

Yep Swiss sabers are verified sex.

Attached: Lutel Swiss Saber complex.jpg (900x636, 466K)

except for the fact that 17th century Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was a superpower, and Polish Saber is something else entirely. Also - while turkish, and middle-eastern things were "all the rage" in 17th century Poland, the sabers originally came over from Hungary.

Attached: karabela.jpg (1600x1200, 830K)

Not him, but I'd like a nice cavalry saber, possibly the pattern 1796 or a pattern 1860.

Fuck you that movie was terrible.

Ekkk the only brands showing up with those models are Windless, Universal, Deepeeka, and Cold Steel... All in the sub $250 range... so that's not that great, I trust the Cold Steels to be functional, but probably not good fit&finish, and probably handles like a crow bar. The Windless may have better handling, but will be blunted and probably a similar finish.

I've not taken much interest in Sabers, so there maybe some specialized brands I'm unfamiliar with. Good luck.

those trips.
also, this is as close you can get to a hybrid western/european and eastern/katana that is functional in combat

Yo bro, I heard you like fullers, so I...

I do bite my thumb, sir.

>this is as close you can get to a hybrid western/european and eastern/katana that is functional in combat

Don't really see why it's a hybrid if it's a less common complex hilt longsword used in southern Germany and Swizerland during the 16th century.

I would say falchion because it's pretty much the machete's badass great grandfather, but it's also too alike to the machete, which has become a nigger's slaughtering tool.

>tfw you can carry a gun but can't carry a knife over 3 inches.

I wouldn't consider a decent falchion to be very alike to a machete both aesthetically and in handling.

It's a shame that there aren't edged versions of the collapsable Tai Chi sword, also that they're so fragile in general.
I've owned a bunch of them because inevitably we'll end up fencing with them and fuck them up.

That is a beautiful sword.

I hear the Kingfisher Machete by Baryonyx is very good quality for the money, and as far as stabbers go its pretty much designed exclusively for it, Pic related, its also pretty easy on the eyes

Your move mr law man

That would be quite funny, but I'm pretty sure it's just ceremonial.

Why would you want to carry a cavalry blade while on foot...?

It's a curved two handed sword, just like a katana. It did not draw inspiration from the katana, but it is still alike.

A Norman Sword.

Attached: DSC07614.jpg (550x412, 98K)

Only on the surface level, in balance, metallurgically, in blade profile, it's fairly different.

The closest you would get to an hybrid western/european and eastern/katana would be, you know, what was actually made irl, which is the kyu-gunto.

What would that even be for? It it a viking baby rattle?

>have to walk up a staircase
Well fuck me

I have no knowledge of this sword, but it appears to be a single-handed sabre, not a two handed one.

Fuck swords, how do you expect to get through that newer plate armor?
