What is the best all metal pistol?

The one with meteorite grips

OP pretty much answered that already.

Best 124gr, 9mm, plinking ammo?

Just whatever's cheapest?
Some cleaner/dirtier than others?

Contenders for cheapest seem to be American Eagle, Blazer Brass, Aguila, Armscor

CCI Lawman>Blazer Brass>Fiocci>AE>S&B imo.

I liked King Solomon's Hi-Point better.

Attached: King Solomon's Hi-Point.jpg (960x960, 51K)

This in regards to quality? Price? Accuracy? Cleanliness?
Am I just putting too much thought into this?

I only have 200 rounds right now
Was planning on buying another 500 cause I was gonna go to the range and take 3 others with me.
Of the 3, only 1 will shoot a lot like me. The other two will shoot sparingly most likely.

Aguila - $112.00
American Eagle - $110.35
Blazer Brass - $103.50

Price difference isn't MUCH. But money saved is still nice.
However I'd forego the savings if one brand was better than another.

What is the most cowboy looking revolver that still fires modern cartridges and isn't $4,000 replica?

Colt SAAs aren't $4k.

I've been in the market for a compact .44 mag, been looking at 629s primarily but are there other options that are cheaper but still good? Looking to modify it for conceal carry anyway so reliable is more important.

>$1800 instead
You know what I meant. Something that doesn't blow the fucking top off a modern day pistol in terms of pricing.

Why would you want to conceal carry a .44 Mag?

Attached: s&w-329pd.jpg (800x600, 70K)

>.44 mag for conceal carry
Do you live in a community entirely composed of impoverished bears?

Uberti/Taylor & Co.

I want a cowboy gat in .357 because I already have .357 guns.
Should I go for more authenticity with a Uberti or Cimarron, or modern and tougher with a Ruger Vaquero?

Can I get some help with this?
What is the difference between these two Glock 43s?

Ruger Vaquero in .357 Magnum
Heritage Rough Rider in .22LR
Ruger Single Six/Single Ten in .22LR
Cimmarron and Uberti make some nice Peacemaker clones as well.

Attached: Ruger Vauqero .357 x2.jpg (720x960, 212K)

Uberti revolvers are not that expensive.

Primarily for giggles. I carry a Makarov normally but my friends and family all carry and I think it'd be fun to show up for a hangout and drop a .44 on the table. Also it's super effective and blinding, deafening to use.

Fellas, I’m having a real tough time right now. Should I get a P229 or Glock 19? I’ve shot both with 150 rounds through each. The P229 feels better in my hands and I shoot better with it, but at the same time, I don’t want to fall prey to the (((Cohen))) meme. Meanwhile, the Glock was very uncomfortable, but I know an aftermarket trigger and a sand belt to the finger grooves will rectify that. I also like Glock’s track record and simplicity, but at the same time I think it’s a “basic bitch” gun—meaning everyone and their mother has one.
Pls help

Ruger's Vaquero is just kind of average in ruggedness, which is to say, it's fine.
It's only Ruger's Redhawks and Blackhawks which are actually super tough and likes to eat atomic handloads.

>blinding, deafening to use.
Yes, for you

>I intend to shoot large quantities (1000+ rounds a year) of full power .357
Vaquero
>I either intend to shoot it very little or mainly run .38spl/plinking tier .357
Uberti

Ur a big guy

USP 9 for 45 full-size? Already have a USP 9c.

Attached: download.jpg (267x188, 4K)

>it's super effective
Only from 3"+ barrels. From a 2" barrel or shorter it's .45acp tier but twice the recoil and 100x the flash/concussion.

GP100/SP101 are crazy overbuilt as well. Also the Security 6 line, although that's discontinued.

>meanwhile, the Glock was very uncomfortable
And there's your answer.

You should probably go for a 4" barrel at any rate.
Don't get an airweight .44, they fucking suck to shoot.

Those taurus in 44 mag any good?

Are there any mechanical upsides to a Uberti over a Vaquero other than being more authentic?
All I know is that Vaqueros reload from un-cocked rather than half-cocked and have more safety features.

Fuck no.

Vaquero will be safer, but probably not have quite as nice a trigger.

First one is the UPC for a US-made (7 64503 91335 8) G43. Second is Austrian (7 64503 00253 3).

Believe it or not, but no one at the range or at a match really cares what you're shooting.

Attached: Vickers-Elite-Stainless1.jpg (1980x1320, 573K)

The former's made in Burgerland, while the latter's made in Hitler's birthplace.

Thank you!
Which should I go with?

Light weight no. 3" range is preferred.

The Hitler one, of course.

ugly finish, sweet grips wouldnt take one of these guns for free, they are overpriced toys.

The only Taurus I know of that’s “good” is the Judge and the G2.

I don't imagine there's much difference, but I try to buy guns made in their origin country to please my 'tism.

Attached: IMG_2031a.jpg (1440x1080, 1.27M)

>wouldn't take a $4.5 million 1911 for free
Yeah, because you're an idiot.

Stronger frame and crane on the Vaquero. Functionality is so similar it's a wash.

The Uberti is a transfer bar (IE, not authentic), shouldn't be any difference in safety.

>can't sell it to plebs
>can't sell it to gun-grabbing (((billionaires)))
>too scared to actually shoot such an expensive gun
>complete nigger magnet when used in public

Wouldn't fucking cost you anything to have it.

They're all very similar in price. Accuracy I wouldn't really care about with blasting ammo. So I'd say it's ranked by quality and price.

Speer, Blazer and Fiocci are all equivalent quality imo, and now that I think about it S&B is good quality too but sometimes they use weird bullet weights and all their bullets are brass jackets instead of copper fwiw. Federal AE and Winchester white box have been hit and miss for me, they are both particularly lightly loaded, I've had several duds, and Winchester in particular for some reason I visibly see exposed lead. idk how that's even possible but it's like the jackets are paper thin and tear through in some places. I had a whole box of exposed lead WWB cartridges saved up to share but I just checked and I think I shot it lol

Aguila I would put at the bottom of the bottom for brass ammo, just above steel and aluminum case. It's the filthiest stuff, super smokey, and the gunpowder they use smells horrible like burning plastic.

You're thinking too much about it yeah, but so do I. Just get whatever brass case is on sale in the bullet weight you need imo.

So new semi-arbitrary rank
CCI Lawman=Blazer Brass=Fiocci>S&B=AE>WWB>Aguila
There are other brands I'm forgetting, like Hornady (who is having trouble with over-charged rifle cartridges in their Frontier line right now)

Don't put stock in internet memes for zoomers. Buy the gun you like better and shoot better with! And put a gun you find to be uncomfortable at the bottom of the list.

Thoughts on horizontal mag carriers?
BHP

Thanks for all the info, guy. I'll look out for a good deal on a Vaquero then.

Attached: 1520759197871.jpg (540x539, 69K)

More comfortable but often I see them with flaps or whatever to keep the mag from falling out.
It's a small detail but put into perspective? Can change things.
Altercation happens, fine motor skills are shit, you get a jam or have to reload.
Trying to fumble with a flap that'll want to stay closed to secure your mag
Even with training and practice those precious seconds could be the difference.

Get a Kydex one with good and/or adjustable retention and keep that shit tight.
You loose the dad-phone belt carrier camouflage but you eliminates the above-mentioned problem.
Just be aware that it'll show easily if your shirt is not long enough. So gotta check your wardrobe.

>The P229 feels better in my hands and I shoot better with it
imagine still not convincing yourself after this

Anyone have any suggestions for Cybergun/Futuristic looking pistols?

A bunch. What do you want?

Attached: xr9low.jpg (1800x1200, 607K)

Chiappa Rhino if you want to LARP as a Hunter out of Destiny (Warlocks get out)

Attached: Chiappa_Rhino_60ds_9mm_grande.jpg (600x339, 17K)

Apparently someone else had the same idea.

Attached: DSC_0254-2-1024x700.jpg (1024x700, 159K)

Preferably something with a box mag infront of the grip. Which would be unlikely. I was looking at C96 but Im not sold on it yet. So really anything that is boxy that looks unique and unlike other pistols currently on the market.

I really like the idea of modifying a gun like a 92fs into the Auto9 or the Equilibrium one. Just not sure what a good base gun would be for something like that.

I was thinking about this but I'm not a huge fan of the A E S T H E T I C

Attached: 450px-Screen_used_equilibrium_gun_05.jpg (450x234, 45K)

Insurance, storage, stress and worry that it will be stolen, etc.

>I'm coming home, Ace

You answered your own fucking question and the only thing you need help with is ignoring the glockfags that shit up any discussion of serious use firearms. P229 is fine and has a pretty good track record. If it works better for you than the g19 then you really shouldn't try to force yourself into using the glock, that's the kinda decision you regret later. Although if i were you, having owned both guns over the years, id be sure to try and look into a couple of things to the best of your ability to properly inform your decision. For a newer handgun shooter how well you handle the DA/SA transition is of pretty big importance, as is how you handle the weight/bulk IWB of the p229 over the glock if you plan to CCW it(hard to check in store/range), If neither one of those causes problems for you then you should absolutely go with the p229. If they do cause issues then probably keep looking and buy neither.
>I don’t want to fall prey to the (((Cohen))) meme
The p22x series has had some isolated issues over the years because of ((cohen)), but they've been insulated to a significant degree as far as im aware. Much harder to shit up a robust slightly modified 35+yr old design you already know all of the pitfalls of than it is with a new extra cheap poly wonder gat you've rushed to market without proper testing. Wouldn't really worry too much and if you can't help yourself then there are lots of pre cohen sigs out there.

>love revolvers in game
>since serious Sam and MW2

>rent a SW 3.75” revolver
>cylinder dump 100 rounds
>palm hurt
>pizza box it most shot

I finger fuck mostly 9mm, is their any 357/9mm revolver? Or should give up on revolver?

I mostly shoot for Range toy fun.

Looking to buy my first 1911. Want to get familiar with the platform before spending a lot on a Dan, Les, Ed etc. What is the best option for under $1k, extra preference for something with an ambi safety. Leaning towards a Springfield or Colt at the moment. Most of the Colts seem to lack a lot of the features (match barrel, extended beaver tail) compared to the Springfields, but I can't seem to resist the appeal of that horse on the slide.

i hate tilting barrels so much

>Intrinsically inaccurate design that can only gain accuracy through lost reliability is the standard because the 1911 was on someone's hip when they won two world wars for reasons not related to either pistol
thanks, america

My local range has an Alfa Para in 9x19, my bro liked it a lot. Moon clips can be a bitch, though.

Attached: alfa-para.jpg (1200x800, 294K)

Is there an option to shoot both 357/9mm?

I heard some companies do a cylinder job or something, how does that work?

Well, the Chiappa Rhino mentioned by comes in 9mm. You can even have your local FFL order an extra .357 cylinder so you can swap between Luger for blasting and .357 for concealed carry.

Charter Arms also manufactures their Pitbull revolver in 9mm. Doesn't require moonclips, the revolver has a cylinder-internal holding mechanism for the rimmed cartridges. Put some Crimson Trace grips on it, and you have a fine little concealed carry revolver that can be quickly reloaded with speed-loaders or even thumb-load from a magazine in a pinch. Even with those laser grips, it'll cost you about half what a Rhino with an extra .357 cylinder will.

Attached: 69920_PITBULL_Nitride_9mm_2.2in_LF_2048x2048.jpg (2048x1365, 203K)

> 357/9mm
I thought that you're looking for a 9x19 revolver.
What you're actually looking for is something in .357 Magnum. They all can fire .38 Special because the actual caliber is the same (357mag is just 38spl with a longer casing and more powder).

>implying you and 99% of other handgun shooters are capable of reaching the mechanical accuracy limit of even the sloppiest of pistols, much less anything halfway decent

Used Springfield (dont give them money).
Do the Remington have the features you want?

While i agree that user skill is much more important than mechanical accuracy.
Its not like it doesnt matter untill "you reach it"
The actual practical accuracy is shooter accuracy + mechanical accuracy.
In other words, a shit gun will worsen the accuracy of a poor shot just as much as a good shot.
Mechanical accuracy should be more of a applocation consideration.

That Said, tilting barrel is fine, especially when your options are big Heavy slides, big heavy gas systems or light hot AF gas systems.

Do any 1911s have double stack mags?
Looking for a semi-auto with double stack mags and hopefully a nice aesthetic.
Also, does anyone here have any first hand experience with a chiappa rhino? I loooove the look of them and might get one someday

Doubleststack 1911s exist

Go .45 to shoot .45 Super.

Attached: 20181025_171339.jpg (4032x1960, 3.74M)

What should I mod next on my glock 19? I've already switched to tritium night sites and I'm thinking about doing a trigger or extended slide lock/slide release next.

Quite a few companies make doublestack 1911s, ranging from ~$700->$3500.

Remington (formerly and still made at the old home of Para) are solid without spending STI dinero.

>.45 super
.460 rowland or bust

It wasn't the grips - the whole thing was made from meteorite

You really don't want a lightweight .44
Trust me on this.

>.460 rowland
.45 WinMag or bust

1911

Get the demooner tool and load/unload while watching gay cartoons or whatever you watch.

>45 Super
why

Get a 629 4”. You will get tired of the gimmick of carrying a big iron very quickly, and at least this way you’ll actually enjoy shooting it. You can still conceal the 4”, just get a reinforced belt and an XL sweatshirt.

Because it’s super! Thanks for asking!

It helps to get a tool like the BMT Mooner, but it's $100. You can also get thise single demooning tools but you'll get fed up with it pretty quick IMO.

Which one would you get? Same price and same barrel length.

Is the gen 3 Glock 29SF with a 1913 rail rare or worth more than a regular one? The shells factory fired have a date of '08.

Better pic of my new 6904

I meant 21 not 29

Won't 45 super crack the frame after a few thousand rounds?

Not in a USP or mk23, they're specifically rated for it by HK.

Best place besides schweddy Ben's to get a decent m57 tok?

why worry over or insure it? you got it for free

gen 3 S&W semiautos

He’s right you know
