>Buy gun on gunbroker like i have many times before >dude is a fudd already can tell with his instructions for the shipping info. aka, circling the FFL address for shipping when its clearly its on block on the FFL. >it ships >wait a second, that says Ohio not Texas on tracking >Houston we have problem. >try contacting him >hours for shop is 5 on thursday once per week >it arrives in Ohio and i got with the owner to have him send it to my address, the seller will send him a shipping label >pissed because i paid $40.00 for shipping.
If you are gonna sell something especially over the internet you should at least double check your fucking shipping.
>boomers >double checking anything BOY I HAD FRIENDS IN VIETNAM IVE BEEN HERE 50 YEARS YOU THINK I DONT KNOW SOMETHIN YOU DONT IVE BEEN BREATHING LONGER THAN YOUVE BEEN SHITTING
Jacob Russell
Heres the one in dispute with Suntrust credit card currently. I have 2.
>old man mentions he wants an A1 build for Christmas >because of his autism, his only request is it has to be marked 5.56 or .223 on the lower >decide to start now >find Anderson lower marked with 5.56/.223 >email the seller to verify >they say its marks as shown in the photo and good to go >order it >pay entirely more than a stripped Anderson is worth but its what I need >comes in to the FFL >marked fucking Multi >call the seller >"we use that stock photo and we cant refund it. We can receive it back but you have to pay shipping and there is a 40% restocking fee" >argue with the guy for almosy 20 minutes >finally say fuck it and accept the lower from FFL >call suntrust and bitch >now in dispute >i have been with them for years and the lady said I more than likely wont be paying for this >ask her what to do with the product >"keep it"
Still in the middle of this bullshit and although its petty, it still is a shit show..
Gabriel Nguyen
>buy AR online from PSA >comes in thru FFL >get it home and inspect it >small gouge on metal back plate near stock >wtf.jpg >email PSA about how I want a bew rifle as I paid for new not blem
I dont know if they will send a bew one but if ao I better not have to pay the $100 FFL transfer again
Chase Torres
>$100 TRANSFER FEE??? wtf kinda FFL ARE YOU GOING TO??
Jacob Reed
>$100 FFL transfer what kind of fuck me in the ass FFL charges that? most places around here charge $20
Dylan Morales
This is what you fags get for being poor.
Jaxson Hughes
Post a pic, if you aren't just trolling. That sounds like your castle nut is staked, which is normal, good, an intentional feature, and something that any legitimate AR should have. It keeps the castle nut from walking out over time and getting loose.
Ayden Clark
he's prob in CA
Oliver Jenkins
>drunk shopping and see some vintage .22 ammo for like $15 >win said Ammo >immediately send out a money order for the ammo the day after I win it >tracking says it arrived at his house >couple days go by and nothing >email him asking when hes going to ship out >"I will ship out when I get payment" >let him know the money order arrived and it was only payable to him >file a dispute with USPS >after like 3 months the send me a refund for the money and concluded investigation >money order was initially cashed >email the guy a copy of it >he insists he never got the money order >send him the new one with 3 separate tracking numbers and a signed delivery of someone over 21 with a return receipt >get my ammo a week later >leave him fucking terrible feedback and email him that I look forward never having to do business with him again >pic very much related sits on my mantle as a constant reminder of my anger
so ive been searching gunbroker for fun latetly and im seeing some things priced for literally $0.01 whats up with that? Is it a scam or what cause Ive seen things I like but im scared to buy online
also, Gunbroker vs armslist, which do you prefer and why
>priced for literally $0.01 faggot boomer fudds dodging the budget filter so their "rare" $800 mosin fagant appears in everyone's searches first thing they see. that or they're trading for it. You have to click the page and read to find out.
also never order something for shipping or else you'll get scammed.
Parker Adams
It's called a penny start, meaning there's a .01 minimum bid. It's a way to get people interested in the listing.
Connor Rogers
I was more talking about armslist here, but for gunbroker is right. Although there's typically a "limit" which needs to be reached or else the offer is cancelled.
Jaxson Bennett
>be me >go into LGS >small shop owned by two old dudes (nice guys though). >there inventory shifts weekly depending on who trades what to then. >they’re only open from 10-2 Monday-Friday and only accept cash or trades. >walk in to what looks like a retirement home, the small 200 sq ft room was packed with boom booms from wall to wall looking at the different fudd guns for sale. >approach the counter and talk to the guy (his name is Cragg). >tell him I’m interested in selling my CZ75b I bought new a few weeks prior. (It’s my second one and I was looking to get something a bit more compact). >ask what sort of deal he’d be willing to work out on. >he inspects it and tells me it’s in great shape and that it’d be an easy sell for him. >tells me he’ll give me 125... >I wasn’t sure if he was joking or not so I kinda laugh it off. (I understand that used guns go for less than new, but i bought it new just a week prior and had only put 2 boxes through it.) > ask how he came to that number exactly, and bring up that I see him selling a heavily used and worn down CZ75b for 450. >he explains that he doesn’t like to carry communist guns in his shop. The literal most boomer answer i’ve ever heard. Next thing you know he’s gonna say the M14 was the best battle rifle ever devised. I declined his offer obviously and still have said CZ to this day >pic related Any other anons been low-balled before?
Lol, was it a Blackhawk in .357? My FFL had one show up and couldn't find any info on who had it sent to him, he finally got the sender to admit they sent it to the wrong place. Right place was in TX if I recall
Bentley Morales
You retard, that's the staking on the castle nut. It's supposed to be like that
>oh no my cheapest of cheap AR isnt absolutely perfect in every way PSA is good because they produce functional and reliable guns for cheap. They dont make pretty guns and QC is obviously not as prevalent as in more expensive manufacturers.
Also thats a 4 dollar fucking piece. Replace it yourself
Jayden Robinson
this is why you don't do business with whiney bitchy man children
Thomas Reyes
No its an auto ordnance 1911 that is nickel plated, i'm building a display case of Pulp Fiction guns and that's gonna be a centerpiece. Still looking for a nickel plated STAR model b
Adrian Hughes
PSA is sending me a new end plate and a castlenut wrench cause I bitched :)
Isaac Watson
PSA has turned around on their customer service for sure.
Asher Roberts
>bitching to get a 4 dollar part and 10 dollar wrench mailed to you rather than buy it and fix it yourself The absolute state of poorfags. You're a millennial, arent you? On the other hand, PSA's customer service is pretty fantastic.
Chase Stewart
Their customer service used to be imfamously terrible, they really turned it around and am proud of them
Xavier Flores
>not realizing that almost all gun stores buy and sell firearms. >not realizing not every gun store orders inventory from wholesalers. >not realizing that a lot of LGS’s make the majority of their profit from flipping used guns.
Your noguns is showing user.
Aiden Nguyen
I think what he meant was >expecting a solid first offer for a used gun at a gun shop
Noah Allen
Even if that was the case 125 is a pretty low blow knowing he’s gonna sell that puppy for probably 500, and judging by the owners response to my question on his offer I think he was probably not all to interested in going any higher. You’re right though that might have been what user meant.
Jackson Jackson
to be fair user was lying about the shop saying that, not sure why he felt the need to make shit up to impress us, but whatever
Why would you buy another one of these things that you obviously didn't want?
Brody Mitchell
Must be hard to not be able to read. You should kill yourself
Elijah Gonzalez
>also never order something for shipping so whats the alternative to that? Ive never done online buying before
John Nelson
>also never order something for shipping or else you'll get scammed. >never order something for shipping what?
Jace Long
I actually traded in one of my rifles for a nice Remington 1100 at a gun store. Got a shitload of store credit too - used it to buy a nice tent for the lady and I
Yeah, though, don't trade at gunstores - generally a terrible idea unless they're known for it.
Also, and this is one thing I don't think Jow Forums appreciates, a lot of these dudes don't actually want to sell the guns. They want to just show them off/shoot them at dealer prices and write them off as bad inventory when they can't sell a clearly used gun at new prices. That's the gunshow fudd to a "T" - just old dudes looking to play with guns, and the 125$/table is the entrance fee to shoot the shit with the other guys.
Carter Long
Close enough. Don't expect perfection for bottom barrel prices.
Henry Adams
>Get the AK autism big hard >Bought 6 AKs in the last year >Some are from FFLs some are from private party >Have them all shipped to my LGS/Ace hardware >I've been supporting these cucks for years despite their shitty prices because there aren't many gun stores around >Call to let them know my most recent purchase is coming in >Clerk asks if it's from a gun store >No, private party. Shouldn't be a problem right? >Um....we can't do that? >Why not? >It's um...against the law. >State or Federal? >Federal >What's illegal about it? >Only FFLs can mail guns >Wut >Lemme talk to your supervisor >He says the same thing >Can you tell me when this law changed? >He can't >Show him the actual Federal law that says rifles can be mailed through anyone, including USPS >Well it's store policy anyways >Alright fuck you guys. Cya. >Have to search for another FFL in this derelict ass part of the country >Finally find one >Seller ships it USPS >I laugh when I get the tracking >Pic related is my new AK
Faggots almost cost me a rifle. Luckily the seller was willing to wait since I paid him immediately.
never have a private seller ship because they'll scam you.
Matthew Johnson
so, dont buy used guns online? not being daft, i've never done this. i understand the getting scammed part. needs to require FFL > FFL?
Daniel Jenkins
>give seller money >they dont ship gun that simple. shit happens on all auction sites which is why I never buy anything from private sellers unless I meet them in-person. I dont even sell anything on auction sites either because some cunt chargebacked me through paynigger after I shipped the item. Fuck ebay, fuck paypal, and fuck private sellers in general, all fucking cunts. Don't trust anybody.
Dylan Harris
That shit is the worst, people listing firearms that aren't what they're selling so it'll pop up on a search drives me up the wall. Sounds like he got scammed. Half of the guns I have right now were used and bought from people online, you just have to recognize when a deal is too good to be true and gauging people.
John Watson
Never said I didn’t want it to begin with. I was thinking about keeping one stock and heavily customizing the other, but I just never came around to it. Not that I have to justify my purchases to some no guns.
Julian Morgan
>buy a gun on gunbroker >seller sends it to my address instead of FFL if i didn't check tracking it would actually get delivered, but they rerouted the package the same day it got shipped. gun ended up being shit in the end.
ebay story >buy motorcycle boots from germany >germans are pretty anal about getting things right, right? >sent wrong fucking color boots >sellers has know about this for almost 3 weeks now and just cut off contact fuck germans. i was retarded and tried to work with the seller as if he were a normal human, and only got ebay involved a couple of days ago. still have to wait a day before i can ask them to step in.
William Taylor
Im pretty poorfag so I dont take chances with expensive shit like guns. If you can afford the risk or have good faith in the seller then go for it, just know that you can get completely ripped off
Jack Adams
i had something similar happen and the seller called me and threatened that he will report the lower as stolen if i don't drop the dispute.
Ethan Cruz
Was it Kings Firearms?
Benjamin Clark
I'm aware of the risks, but as long as you're not like the average boomer when it comes to dealing in online transactions, the risk is minimal. I'm not exactly rich either, but you're missing out on decent deals, or certain models that are no longer made, if you're limiting yourself to local only for used guns.
Blake Allen
no, it was "sportsman's depot" which seems to have since gone out of business. i did buy one gun from king's without a hassle although it was in slightly shittier condition than i anticipated. it wasn't at their fault though the extra wear was concealed by the stock.
Chase Martinez
fair enough, i dont particularly like local stores either because everything tends to be ridiculously overpriced, like above MSRP for a used gun. I don't get why buying guns has to be such a pain in the ass.
James Green
Just how fine a finish on a $400 combat rifle are you expecting? Holy shit people complain about boomers but millennials are all entitled cunts.
Jordan Torres
Why are gun sellers such absolute jews when it comes to online sales?
I mean, there's a minimum of brick-and-mortar upkeep you need to worry about, so why would you fuck the only sales-route you have.
Logan Cooper
I've been buying and selling on eBay since 1998 and have 2000 transactions. Sounds like you're bad at it.
Cameron Brown
There are a decent amount of no reserves. If you want something in particular and keep an eye you'll eventually get lucky and see a great deal about to end at a weird time of day and not have to get into a bidding war.
Isaac Thomas
might try that sometime since I have problems sleeping anyway.
Robert Murphy
I don't know how it is in your state, but the worst part of the process for me is just waiting for the money order to be delivered to the seller. Can't be fucked with buying from gun stores though, like you said, the mark-up is too damned much to not buy online. I'm hoping that gun stores will start trying to match near online prices in order to remain competitive, because while the guys at the gun store I go to are cool dudes, I only use them as a transfer center, and maybe to pick up ammo for the gun I'm getting while I'm there.
Colton Campbell
Do it. I saved $100 on a winchester 94 and $300 on an m1 by just periodically checking. I'm still waiting for that $350 stoeger coach gun B^)
I've _generally_ had good luck with Gunbroker. So far I've had three problem. First was a milsurp with a bad bore and a broken extractor. Seller offered return for refund but I kept the gun because it was still worth it. Second problem was a Marlin 336 that was terrible condition compared to the description/photos. Seller gave me a partial refund and I still sold the gun for almost 150% what I paid. Last problem was a seller who had a bunch of identical guns and shipped me the wrong one. He offered an exchange but there wasn't any practical difference so I kept it. These were all big FFLs, not private parties.
Stuff is just so cheap on Gunbroker though. Last week bought a normal Mini-14 for $250 and a factory folding Mini for $500.
Xavier Brooks
wait, what the fuck? How? Every time I go on there - they're all like 600$+.
I'd completely change my goals/plan for a future home def system if I can get a standard mini for 250
Kevin Robinson
>spend +20k on GB >never buy retarded junk shit >send payment with two dollar tracking >never had a problem Sure sucks to suck
Luke Reed
Typical Mini-14s can be found for around $400-500. The $250 was a pretty crazy deal, as was the folder since those usually go for $1200.
Ryder Hill
Coach guns on GB regularly go for under 300
James Harris
the deals usually have a low "buy it now" price and are listed earlier in the day or in the evenings since those are the times at which boomers are most active.
Also bought two oddball fudd guns the same week but Jow Forums doesn't like those.
Kayden Edwards
Funny. I have bought a couple guns from Sportsman's depot no problem. And I have bought other shitty guns from kings no problem. They just really dicked me this time and I probably wont go back to them afterwards.
Lucas Gray
post them.
i grabbed a 1954 russian sks for $316 shipped because the seller had a low buy it now price and the title said it was chinese. it didn't have a bayonet and the magazine was force matched, but still a good price.
Aiden Cook
you're thinking of sportsman's outdoor superstore. i bought from them without a problem, too.
sportsman's depot was a shitty one guy operation. i think he didn't even hold any stock on hand and just drop shipped.
Liam Cruz
> Be black Friday > Look on Jow Forums while drunk > Someone posts something about a RPG for sale. > Buy it. > Have a worthless / Useless training RPG rube I bought for 1200 bucks.
Thomas Adams
Sounds about right. >"Son, I been doin' this longer than you been alive, I know what I'm talking about. You can't trust the AR its a cheap plastic jam machine.never shoulda switched from the m14"
Henry Sanders
A 1990s Japanese Browning 1885 in .45-70 with a hilariously fudd engraving on the reciever, and a Ruger No.1 in .416 Rigby with a Leupold scope.
Fuck elephants.
Parker Hernandez
you reminded me, i really want to get a type 38 arisaka in 7.62x39 with a SKS barrel (and bayonet).
Maybe.. was he out of PA? I distinctly remember buying a AR from him but it was a couple years ago. Youre probably right though
Mason Wright
guy's name was bill jorgensen but i don't know what his address was since i think neither an address nor a phone number was listed on the website. he only had an email.
Christian Long
Hmm. Maybe i am thinking of sportsman outdoor superstore. I have been buying so many guns for so long from that place. Have you ever bought from GT Distributors? They have insanely cheap shit all the time
Justin Johnson
pics or astroturf.
David Long
Friend, you really aught to hide the credit card before you get shitfaced. But to make it a win, you should at least make it a firework launcher.
i haven't bought from them yet. i've seen that they have good prices, but it's either on things i don't want or the prices aren't as low as elsewhere.
usually sportsmans outdoor superstore, classic firearms, and centerfire systems are the ones that have rock bottom prices when they clear out guns.
Colton Harris
>that webm
What in the flying fuck
Zachary Davis
GT is great if youre in the market for a full size .40 or .38 special. But sometimes they get pretty cool shit
Brandon Murphy
Buddy just traded away an XD45 hes had for years, got it from a private sale before the state required background checks on transfers. It passed the NICS check, but on the state check came back stolen. So he paid the cash value of the gun he traded for and another grand on a lawyer after the police said they were handing off the case to the ATF.
Matthew Gutierrez
this is what i was always worried about when buying used guns. i believe not all states check whether the gun is stolen. honestly, the stolen gun database should be publicly available so people can check guns before they buy them.
Josiah Morales
>but on the state check came back stolen What kind of dealer runs the numbers on a private party sale?
Nolan Edwards
Pretty sure you could conquer Gambia with that set up.
Matthew Peterson
>african infrastructure >road bike
Isaiah Rivera
Yeah, but then you'd be King of The Gambia. Is it worth the risk?
Lincoln Edwards
It's a requirement in our state (WA)
Landon Morris
Just go dude I wanted to leave like late 2000s Collapse happened Couldn’t leave Started buisiness Stayed 10 more years Finally left month ago Regret not leaving forever ago probably more than any other decision I ever made Bought a nice folding ak I always wanted arsenal sam7sf-84 but just waiting for hard copy of state id to come in still so I can go have fun
Michael Perez
worst dealing I've had on Gunbroker, which is actually not all that bad
I'm also surprised the state doesnt share stolen firearms info to NICS, if the pistol had been sold out the state it probably wouldn't have been flagged.
Ryan Reyes
>buys bargain basement AR15 >suprised when its not 100 percent perfect
