I'm waiting for the inevitable Glock 45 MOS.

Memes aside, I unironically believe the P226 is the best pistol on the civillian market rn. Please tell me why I am wrong

The new production runs are shit

Why?

Any reason why or are you just going to parrot “le (((Cohen))) amirite?” Jow Forums memes?

>the best
>vague term designed to get (You)s while allowing ease of goalpost manipulation
(You)

>greatest
Greatest is subjective, ergo by implicitly claiming that a handgun is objectively the greatest you have defeated yourself. What do i win?
((cohen))

Greatest = best = number #1 in every category.

Bet you think your clever.

gen 3 19 is the best handgun still

West German? Maybe. Exeter? Fuck no.

Hammer fired? Maybe. Best all around? No.
There is no difinitive “best” gun on the market because any manufacturer worth their salt makes excellent, reliable firearms. Sure, Glock might’ve been “the best” ten or fifteen years ago, but everyone else has caught up and has even improved upon the original polymer-framed, striker-fires concept. Sig Sauer, HK, Walther, FN, S&W, and even Springfield all make amazing firearms that can match, if not surpass, Glock’s reputation. Glocks are good at everything, but not excellent at anything. They’re good guns because of how simple, yet reliable they are. Many people say that Glock needs to innovate, but I disagree. I think being a jack-of-all-trades gun is what makes Glock appealing. With the exception of their sights and finger grooves pre-Gen 5, Glocks are breddy gud, but not the best.

Not when the G20 exists, pussy.

tl;dr, you're a complete faggot

$150 less, better literally everything.

No, it actually means "most great". also:
>implying the glock 19 is number #1 in every category.
Low effort bait.

What are you, some kinda anti-sodomite?

See the OP, faggotron. >Prove me wrong.

Hard pass.

Turbo nigger.

Sorry you failed your 2nd grade reading lesson, nigger.

Sorry you failed you're 1st grade writing lesson, double nigger.

Go back to your containment thread, nigger. The adults are talking.

You're calling the M&P M2.0 trigger shit in comparison to a Glock?

That's what happens when you try to defend and indefensible position, jakepauller.

They’re both shit tbqhwyf

That's absolutely correct. The Gen 5 trigger is now the best in the industry.

I see you didn’t read it. Graduate high school and then come back, Timmy.

go back to your containment thread

ARE GLOCKS WELCOME IN /HANDGUN GENERAL?

sure, as long as the owner doesn't feel the need to tell everyone how amazing/shit glocks are

Your thread is cancer and needs to be irradiated.

To use them means you cover up the ejection port. If there is a round in the chamber you have just jammed your gun.

Front serrations are retarded.

and you're probably a nogunz, such is life on Jow Forums

>>To use [front serrations] means you cover up the ejection port. If there is a round in the chamber you have just jammed your gun.

>you're probably a nogunz
I can understand your skepticism, given the kind of ridiculous bullshit that gets posted on Jow Forums (see above), but I assure you that I own 12 guns, unless I'm miscounting.

>I assure you that I own 12 guns
Fair enough, I only brought it up because this has been one of those kinds of threads (and desu you're objectively correct about /hgg/ which makes me assravaged)

> Prove me wrong
Okay, here we go
>the best gun my money can buy
>gundigest.com/handguns/concealed-carry/gun-review-edc-x9-best-pistol
>Spoiler: You can't.
Just did. And you know why? Because Glawks are nothing more than the F-150 of the gun world. Good solid okay-guns but far from being the "greatest" or "best" or whatever.

Spotted the boomer.

>posts a poorly maintained gun
>”hurr it’s the manufacturer’s fault I don’t service my pistol durr”

You know, I have yet to see ANYONE explain why modern Sig Sauer is trash. Everytime I ask someone to explain it to me, all I get is (((Jews)))posting. I will fully admit the P320 was flawed and the P365 is still flawed, but their steel framed, hammer guns are still phenomenal. My P229 is almost 10 years old now and even after ~20,000 rounds, I’ve yet to experience a malfunction. I’m far from a Sig fanboy (I own twice as many Blocks as I do Sigs), but the rampant hate for Sig seems to stem more from shitty Jow Forums memes than it does actual criticism.

>F-150
Except post-recession Ford is utter shit. You’re thinking of a Corolla or Civic.

>steel framed
You don’t even know what you’re talking about.

Yeah, maybe. But I guess anyone here gets the fucking idea you sperg.

Nah, you spotted the one who quotes someone who makes a living out of testing guns and writing about them. And to be honest: What he says has a lot more weight to me than what some basement kid on a nepalese snake weaving market says.

I’ve got 4 Exeter Sigs, and they’ve all been absolutely fantastic guns.
I have thousands of rounds out of each of them, barring my new P226, and I’ve yet to have one malfunction. I’ve had my P220 10mm for going on 3 years now, and not one sign of rust. Even though it’s my hiking and camping handgun.

Most people who hate Sigs are bitter poors who can’t afford them.

I’m just saying your comparison was a little. Don’t ravage your asshole over it.

>poorfag hasn’t heard of the Stainless Elite line
Adorable.

is it wrong that i like the Glock 17 more than the 19?

I got myself a new Gen5 MOS and i already have a Gen 4.

Attached: GLOCK-17-Gen5-Pistole-MOS-Konfiguration.jpg (1170x780, 201K)

little off*

It seems you posted the wrong image. Let me fix that for you.

Attached: 21613_1.jpg (500x377, 22K)

To be fair, many Sig’s are overpriced. Their Legion’s in particular are not worth a 33% mark up.

I've got one and I shoot it better than goocks that I've had tine with. The trigger sucks though. I really need to put an Apex trigger in it.

I think most people don’t get why the legions are expensive until they shoot them. I wasn’t sold until I shot my friend’s Legion in .357 Sig.

All the improvements over a base model p226 are worth the price. You’ll pay more to have the upgrades done by a smith. Might as well have them done at the factory.

This. Except the compact version

No, I own only a gen 3 19 and while I think the 19 is the best looking glock with finger groves I think the 17 and long slide gen5s look way better with that straight grip. The p80 glock lowers are the best imo. I would love to build a glock 40 p80 as my next glock but I don't think they make those yet.

Attached: 1494615058653.jpg (570x570, 35K)

Already by your response, one can tell you're a brainlet who's not looking to hear the actual reasons why it sucks.

>mfw raging poor glockfigs turn head when I whip put my x five

My question is can you keep a bullet locked in the chamber or is this a no no? Would I make oopsies if I just left a round chambered for a year? Or is that good just incase a burglar breaks in and there is a round ready to go. What are the pros and cons of said chambered round?

Gay

i prefer my gen 4 .40 calibers, 10mm and short/weak both. the 5 really offers me nothing i need

i'm with you. what idiot jacks the slide from the front. duh. if you want to do something, put a better rear sight on, one that can be single handed cocked and isn't plastic. not that i have a problem with plastic, i can hit any damn thing, but still

striker fire pistols are fucking gay

>A fucking Glock
>greatest handgun currently on the market right now
>Ignoring the legions of semi-custom handguns
>Ignoring every gun test every mag, military, police conducted
It's like you want to be trolled ya dingus. Go shove your gun-Toyota up your ass. There's obviously tons of other pistols that are much higher quality and receive the title of "greatest handgun currently on the market".

Would you recommend a few?

Not a Polymer fan

Only reason I have a Legion is because it was issued to me. Shoots fine as fuck though.

>greatest
that's not how you spell "mediocre"
its literally the middle of the road now.

Laughs in thick Baden-Württembergish accent. Pic related is the greatest handgun currently on the market right now.

Attached: 1287735191.jpg (600x456, 35K)

If glock is so good why do glock fags always feel the need to prove it?

Makes the gun lighter even if you don't use them, literally no downsides.

>two different weight trigger pulls on a striker-fired handgun

Attached: 1539992693293.jpg (605x585, 90K)

The 92 was designed in the fucking 70s and has lineage dating back to the Walther P38. It's an old fashioned design. The Glock is the new hotness, and quite frankly, a better gun.

>>Ignoring the legions of semi-custom handguns
Name some of them. You said there are "legions" of them. So it shouldn't be that hard, huh?

Agreed, and almost every P99 spinoff gun is equally great.

By what measure?

I love them, and they're great, but by what measure are they the greatest?

They aren't the Jericho 941.

Holy shit, where do you work and are you hiring?

>I COULD explain it to you
>but ur big dumdum so I won’t

All you had say was that you have no reasoning.

All the poly80 are both 9 and 40 slide compatible. Go for it! Took me 2 hours to finish one

>he doesnt push check

You dumb niggers don't understand the difference between "greatest" and "best in some categories but not all" They don't mean the same thing.

Three actchyoually.

enjoy your ridiculously high bore axis, overweight frame, weird controls, expensive magazines, and lack of aftermarket

Attached: perfection.jpg (1536x2048, 609K)

100% accurate OP.

The only complaint I have about this gun is that it improves on the previous best gun on the market, the 19x.

translated:

"I don't know how to press check properly"

>needing an aftermarket to correct your shitty gun
>actually thinks bore height matters
lol

Attached: laughing ape.jpg (480x360, 15K)

the production quality of the M&P is bad, buddy. I'm sorry. The bean counters at SW know that most guns won't get near a high enough round count to reveal all the shitty defects in the gun, but watch in a few years when everyone starts complaining about broken metal parts because the MTM molds are bad.

True story.

a buddy of mine is a FLETC trainer. They ordered 35 Sig 229's to do a rotation of coast guard guys last year.

33 of them have cracked frames currently.

due, they are looking in disbelief at someone who thought there was such a thing as a high end Sig that wasn't junk.

>i can only maneuver my hand in a single direction in one specific angle!

Yeah by a whole 50 grams

This, trashes your holster if you do any serious amount of practice with it

I shoot my G17 way better than my 19, think my hands fall into place with it

I've kept rounds chambered for a while, if you do it right they're fine. Just keep in mind if you clear the chamber and reload the same bullet it'll get set deeper into the casing. Try to rotate it so you aren't rechambering the same round. Also be careful what you use to lube your guns. WD40 can deactivate primers

Otherwise as long as the weapon is safe (don't leave a shotgun that isn't drop safe loaded somewhere it could fall) and you're treating every gun as if it is loaded, keep it loaded, one less thing to have to do in an emergency
