What happened here Russians?
What happened here Russians?
Ivan Vladimirovich got drunk and switched off the power to the ballasts.
A catastrophe!
Truly strong words she said.
And these pathetic cucks think they are "superpower"
sabotage by CIA
It's the only version of our government.
mind to translate those old runes?
>That old dingy of an "aircraft carrier" that probably goes "put put put put"
OH NO NO
>Ukrainians did it
Based
What does it say?
bump
>What happened here?
Russians.
the dry dock fucking sank?
That's not very typical I would like to make that point
1. One of the largest drydocks in the world has sunk in Murmansk Region
2. PD-50's size is equal to Red Square
3. Admiral Kuznetsov is the only Russian aircraft cruiser
4. One of the cranes fell to the deck and made a hole in it
OOF
But did the front fall off?
It's probably designed to sink using ballast then pump it out to raise itself out of the water. Dumb russkies will have put in too much ballast because they are of drunk from vodka )))))
I can only assume that it was built to very rigorous maritime engineering standards
Such as?
Ass the Swedes. They buid it.
Well, for a start it isn't supposed to sink.
It really doesn't matter that much. Russia's naval doctrine doesn't revolve around carrier groups like American naval doctrine. Carrier groups are useful for if you're trying to project hard power far away from you, which the US does routinely. Russia generally only asserts hard power over countries near it since Russia is generally a defensive oriented country unlike what the media may claim. They are far more successful than any western country at projecting power far away cheaply (see election manipulation in the US and elsewhere).
No.
It's literally true though, do you think mighty Russia lacks the resources and technology to acquire new aircraft carriers? Of course Russia has the resources. They don't because it's not an important doctrine component
>Of course Russia has the resources.
This is bait
> do you think mighty Russia lacks the resources
Russian Federation has Italian-level GDP. Per capita Mexico is superior.
It's a lot cheaper to produce things in Russia though, not really a fair comparison
In the case of energy, it's not. Much Russian oil and shale is locked under permafrost/bogs.
Even services like dental care are too expensive for ordinary Russians.
Impressive.
With this most recent achievement, fate has in a single stroke, marked the decline of the west and spelled a new era of wondrous prosperity and peaceful global dominance for the Russian bear, which promises to firmly stand in sharp contrast to the historically bloody ascent of western powers and the cruel subjugation it brought to the humbler nations of the world. With the blessings of Russian diesel direct-current electricity, diesel aircraft carriers and diesel enhanced railguns will be the instruments with which Russia affirms its noble stewardship of 21st century world politics and offers the non-western world a different option; an humanist alternative to the depredations of Western leadership and the opportunity for a more equitable and dignified multilateralism.
>Per capita Mexico is superior.
Except, it's not.
And?
>the dry dock fucking sank?
#justrussianthings
Really at this point we shouldn't be surprised
>Russia generally only asserts hard power over countries near it
Because they physically can't project any power further than that because they can't afford a serious navy or any real amount of strategic airlift (and never could, even under the USSR)
>since Russia is generally a defensive oriented country
And yet they continue to be militarily belligerent to literally anybody they think they can reach and have been on the offensive for the last 25 years despite their financial situation.
>tl;dr everything you said is fucking wrong
and there was a a fire?
this was caused by CIA sabotage of the drydock
Russia has a smaller economy than South Sudan. Go suck a dick Vatnik scum.
Have you actually spent any time around Russians? They will come to your house drunk and intentionally punch a hole in your wall, then feel genuinely bad about it.
Why does everything in Russia look like its rusting?
Come on Vanya where are your shilling trolls now?
Thank god they feel bad about it, genuinely. That should fix the hole in my wall real quick. I'm getting real tired of you .5 ruble vatniks shitting up this board. Don't you have someone to bribe or vodka to chug?
because everything is 45 years old and hasn't had a coat of paint since gorbachev
>so weak that any country can sabotage your shit
vatniks on suicide watch
You fool that's their new submarine you will see soon dirty Amerikanski Spijon
Vatniggers on suicide watch
I hope they towed it out beyond the environment
just sink the ship over the dock and start working.
why don't they just build another one?
Now they own the world's largest Russian submarine
kek
Now it's a wet dock.
Maybe the torpedo exploded
Now it is a wet dock
.
.
.
.
.
for submarines.
So Russia's doctrine is to be a lil bitch?
No, its doctrine to go with their floating dry docks where no dry dock has gone before.
china should sell them something or invade Siberia for that sweet oil.
>Ass the Swedes. They buid it.
In all fairness I like picking on Swedes too when it comes to that low hanging lefty fruit
But they did make it in 1980 and 38 years is a really long time for anything to be floating and most warranties might be a bit... out of date. 3-4 years and it sinks, you'd be ok to be butthurt about it, but 38 is quite a run really, actually 15-20 years of service for a fuck huge aquatic machine that gets big old ships dumped on it is pretty good in most countries.
>fun fact its the same dock where they dumped the Kursk
Reminds me of the USS San Francisco
US doctrine on land is to hold out and wait for air support so the US land doctrine is to be a little bitch too
I honestly dunno how only one person died, its literally the equivalent of driving a train into a hillside
Guess in some ways it pays to be lucky and tough
>vatnik cries because his paper tiger HIV-infested shithole country can't afford air support
>y-your a coward for racing in a car because I can only afford this rusty bicycle
LMAO @ vatniggers
Nice submarine, Ivan.
Oof the hit the nerve didn’t it mutt ?
>ha! I admitted that my country is a poor shithole and your country is wealthy and successful!
>a-america BTFO
Sad!
t. Vatnik coping
>Of course Russia has the resources.
>AXAXAXAXA SWEDEN U SO GAY, SLAVA ROSSIYA WILL INVADE U AS SOON AS WWIII KICKS OFF
>Oh btw, can you of make big drydock, slava rossyia too poor to develop of own
And russia is surprised that it sank?
After nearly 40 years.
Ageing Russian ship heroically saves crane from drowning.
How deep did the dry dock sink? Any info on it?
Not deep, shallow enough to be a problem in the harbor so they have to remove it one way or another.
it's probably dropping the carrier in from that high that made it sink
How the fuck do you sink a dry dock? That's like beaching a fucking submarine.
>sabotage by oxidation
truly cunning
It was a floating dry dock
Given that the wharf that made the dry dock has shut down and that Sweden hates russia in any case, getting spare parts will be tricky.
They could try to buy a new one but everyone who has the capacity to make them also hates russia, with the exception of China.
It looks like russia has to BUY CHINESE this time.
Also, too bad for russia that they pissed off Ukraine while also being too incompetent to seize Mykolayiv and the Black Sea Shipyard, that one had dry docks capable of handling any of russias rusty tubs.
As it looks now, russia can kiss their naval ambitions good bye.
The pumps were connected to the main grid in Murmansk (I believe). Those pumps are what keep the dock afloat. The grid malfunctioned so not only did the city black out, the pumps stopped working and the dock sank. The dock did not have its own emergency power source.
tldr: cost saving measures comrade ))))))
Gopniks
Who wants to bet there were safety mechanisms for that and russians scrapped them or they were not working through lack of maintenance?
>shacky phone video of gopnik rave party on dry dock
>something explodes
>woooooooohoooo
>party continues, dry dock slowly starts sinking.
doesn't Russia have floating nuclear power plants?
Russia
doesn't Murmansk freeze over in winter too?
Rosatom is building them but they haven't finished one yet I don't think
Suck my dick, mutt. I'm not Russian.
Kek
That made me laugh really hard
I feel like beaching a submarine is easier than you're making it sound.
That's photoshopped volcano.
So the power from the city went away and the company that owned the dry dock hadn't bought diesel fuel so there was no backup power? I'm not understanding the translation about the ship trying to leave unplanned
But of course my comrade
So far the story says, there was no power shortage.
