I’ve read a few books on the ending period of the war on the Eastern Front and the amount of casualties the Germans were able to inflict upon the invading Soviet armies is incredible given the significant disparity in firepower and manpower.
The Battle of Seelow Heights is a good example where against 1 million Russians with 3000 tanks and 16000 guns backing them, a little over 100k underequipped low supplied Germans managed to inflict 30,000 casualties and hold the Russians off for 3 days. The defensive campaigns in Romania and Bulgaria also showcased Germany’s ability to rally their troops and form highly effective defenses

No shit. The Germans where the only nation who prepared for ww2. they had been building their millitary for several years by thr time thr war started. Everyone else only started building up once the war started.
Intrestingly if you read German accounts/opinions of their enemies they thought that brits where individually their equal, very profesional but suffered from less competant commanders and a risk averse attitude. Americans where seen as enthusiastic, aggresive amatuers and the Russians as terrifying but with no concern for their own soldiers.
You do also have to note that their could be huge differences in quality between individual German units. The men that annexed france and started operation barborossa where not the same troops the western allies fought in operation overlord.
If you move the discussion to other elements of the war machine, such as the lufftwaffe it can be argued to be objectivly worse in tactics, organisation and pilot skill to the western allies. They could also not keep up with the western allies in the domains of special forces, intelligence or stratigec misdirection.

With aimed shots the rate of fire is not that much different between a bolt action and a garand. Power range and accuracy are all similar. The volume of fire put out by a squad with bolts and a mg is equal or superior to a squad with a bunch of semi autos.
When people talk about the Germans being best equipped they are talking about everything bar the rifle. Considering more than half of german units didnt have motorised transport that isnt really true either.

I'd say Soviets were better motivated, given their only option was to defeat Germans or die as slaves (if they are lucky) and Japs were on completely other level than everyone else in that regard.
Training is kinda arguable, Germans had to train all soldiers from scratch quickly (because of Versailles) and relied on WWI veterans as NCOs who kept the new conscripts going until they either got gud or died in first few minutes of combat
Soviets had trained all their men before the war and thus they could raise new divisions immediately as long as they had the equipment.
Americans and Brits gave their soldiers better training overall, but when they got back into Europe, they fought seasoned veterans
