Went from 8 gunz to no gunz a few years ago due to some personal stuff I don't feel like sharing. I am back in the market for gunz, if you were starting over what would be the first rifle and handgun you buy. pls no .22 I am already about to purchase one.

Wait to buy an AR on black friday. Last year they dropped as low as $250 from some people and expected to go lower this year.
Shit I didn't even think about black friday, gun stores really do sales?
you had to pay off a bunch of fines, didn't you?
happened to me too. had 3 gund then had noguns.
now I have 10. feels good.
fantastic idea. I'm gonna try to score a decent PMR or AR10 for cheeeeep
Yes you dumby, why wouldn't they?
>gun stores really do sales?
I don't know how retail works
For what purpose? For self-defense, Ruger makes decent revolvers without the Hillary hole. For hunting, Winchester still makes the model 70.
Pretty much, I shouldn't have been buying anything because I wasn't financially stable but oh well.
Idk I'm just surprised libtards haven't passed some law outlawing discounts on firearms because it "could promoto gun violence" or some insane drivel
Rifle for hunting and a handgun for self defense are what I'd like to make my first purchases for. I could maybe go for a 10mm longslide if I can find a good price though idk, I've been out of the world of guns and just looking to get the old noodle joggin
Depending on budget, I'd start off with a CZ-75B and a basic bitch AR chambered in 5.56
Get one or two things in 9mm since it's really cheap to shoot and won't prohibit you from doing it often. Like a handgun and then a scorpion. Or if you have better income now forget the scorpion and just get an AR.

What guns, and was there anything about them that you didn't like or wouldn't be interested in owning again?
>if you were starting over what would be the first rifle and handgun you buy
How much money can you alot to shooting? An AR-15 is a common suggestion due to how cheap they are these days, but .223 is still a bit more expensive than handgun ammunition and the gun being semi auto encourages you to put a lot of money worth of ammo down range quickly. A loaded 30 round magazine is $6-$10 worth of ammo depending on if you're shooting steel cased or brass cased ammo. Unless prices for .223 go down significantly they'll never be what the Mosin Nagant was, no matter how much the tacti-tards want to claim they are. I'd personally look at a CZ527 or a Savage Hog Hunter in .223 due to the less costly rifle ammunition combined with a manual action, or a pistol carbine in 9mm if I wanted something semi auto.
>pls no .22 I am already about to purchase one.
Rifle or pistol? I don't care much for .22 rifles, but a .22 pistol would definitely be at the top of my list for guns to purchase again.
I had an AR-10 .308, a Fudd tier .30-06, Ruger 1911, Mosin Nagant, .22 rifle, ruger .22 pistol, Benelli Nova 12 gauge, and a Remington 870. Money for shooting isn't really a thing since because of my work schedule I won't get to shoot more than twice a month. Getting another Ruger .22 pistol. Really interested in getting a SBR but not sure if they're actually worth it I don't like the ATF and I wanna keep my dog. Definitely not interested in any shotguns or my Fudd ass .30-06 but that Ruger 1911 holds a special place in my heart
I have boner
What did you have before, which ones were your favorites, and why? You have the benefit of experience, so let's leverage that to pick a couple guns you'll like for the same reasons, instead of just some generic muh-AR-muh-Glock we'd recommend to someone who doesn't know enough to know what he likes.
Anyway, I'd start with a pistol-caliber carbine (Wilkinson Linda) and a rifle-caliber pistol (T/C Contender with .223 and .45-70 barrels) just to piss people off.
...
For a rifle, get a basic AR. Colt, Ruger, and S&W all make decent starters for $500ish. The Colt is a little more iirc, but it's solid and OG if you're into that.
For a handgun, go to a fun store and try them on. Springfield, Glock, S&W, CZ, some Sig Sauers are all decent staring points. Pick whichever fits you the best.
1911 in .45 ACP. PTR 91 in .308 Win. Both rugged as fuck, both in powerful calibers that can be found anywhere. The PTR is extra win because it can fire cheap steel case ammo just fine.
If you don't want to spend a grand on a battle rifle, get a Palmetto State AR-15 instead. Wait for a sale, there'll be a few coming up soon for the holidays. I'm not a fan of the caliber, but it's good enough as a combat rifle.
A reliable compact 9mm handgun. Either Glock 19 or CZ75 Compact whatever suits your fancy
Reliable mid-level AR15 like Ruger, Aero-Precision, or S&W
Christ people, what are you doing? Always. ALWAYS have $2k available in your gun safe/cabinet in case of shit going down. Buy hi-point first if in real bad area.
Cash $2000
10x $100
4x $50
25x $20
20x $10
20x $5
50x $1
Now that is done. Buy basic level shit if possible. Hi-point $100-$150 in whatever ammo you have, Mossberg 500 $200, PSA $300 AR-15. All again depends if you kept the ammo. Now you are ready, but can improve your shit as money improves.

Maverick 88, build a decent AR, get a bolt gun, either a used older model Rem 700 or better yet a a milsurp.
For handguns, you're looking for three: a decent revolver, a full-sized and a CC gun.
For CC I recommend the Sig P238/P938, Colt Mustang XSP, Glock 42/43, or a Shield M.2
Notable mention is the RIA Baby Rock .380, which is a great shrunken 1911.
For a full-size, Sig always has great options, but a Walther P99 is my recommendation. Budget-wise, the Canik TP9 series is hands down the best bang for your buck. Of course, honorable mentions to any Glock. Ruger Americans or Ruger Security's are both good choices as well.
I don't have as much experience with revolvers but S&W dominates that market, and Ruger has some great options there too.
So in total, get:
Maverick 88, AR-15, milsurp bolt gun, S&W revolver, Sig P238/P938, Canik TP9 series.
Do it right and you've just spent less than $2k and have pretty much every base covered.
