How good was she?
How good was she?
Not real.
But there's literally a movie about her.
There is a thousand movies about the holocaust too. Sorry your super elite women sniper is fake or extremely exaggerated.
How many men have you killed?
None, I'm in the coast guard.
None, but through god I have saved countless.
God is dead.
None, my job is to save lives not take them.
Maybe so, but you're still going to kiss his ass.
Well Comrade Pavlichenko's job was to kill Huns and she got 309 of them.
If the bolsheviks say so it must be true.
That poses an interesting question then... is the woman they sent to meet Roosevelt who claimed to be a sniper just an actress? What would be the point?
Not very.
She was given credit for every kill in her battalion.
Probably popped 3 or 4, but the rest are fake and gay.
99% sure I killed hadji as he jumped over a wall in Astan after getting us in a L-shaped ambush. Didn't have time to do a BDA since the push was continuing. I will never know
I read her autobiography. It does have propaganda injected in there (was written in the 50's-60's IIRC, so she had to toe the party line on stuff), so I take it with a grain of salt. But it's more believable when you take in account that she (supposedly I guess) was a target shooter as her main hobby before the war, and also graduated from a sniper school before the war as well. She didn't just pick up a rifle when the Germans invaded and 360 noscoped everyone. The end of the book is her lamenting the loss of the skills and appreciation of sniping in the modern (at the time) Soviet army, and the development and adoption of a new rifle, the SVD. She does also have the disclaimer that in a positional war with relatively fixed lines like for most of her battle experience (which largely consisted of two great sieges, of Odessa and Sevastopol) it is relatively easy for snipers to do their work. She mentions in a chapter where she shoots a German sniper, that the German sniper had a large number of kills for having been in a fast maneuvering war prior to this (France). I did enjoy her gun autism writing as well. She is a nugget lover by the way, and liked her "three line rifle" for most situations compared to her engraved SVT40 that she uses in most photo shoots. She even briefly talks about how she accurizes it, and uses that simple reticule to estimate ranges.
All in all, it is regrettable that the source nation is so propaganda happy and untrustworthy that we cannot take any written word from there for granted. We may never know for sure.
That's a bummer
How exactly is showing us that women under perform in military physical roles debunk the story of a single women sniper?
sounds like a cool read senpai whats it called?
Women are biologically and psychologically incapable of doing anything of merit. Things attributed to women are propaganda and were in fact done by men.
Lady Death
The translation is also slightly weird. Not unreadable, but the specific terminology you can tell is a little off.
>epic communist woman sniper
Impossible.
