I have a Yugo SKS that won't cycle, the gas valve is open (to the side), and it still is bolt action. Has anyone had this problem before? Is it possible that there's a leak somewhere?

Shit if you bought your Yugo sks from Cabela's from 2014 - 2016 there's a hole under the handguard in the barrel don't shoot the gun

Even if it’s bleeding gas at a massive rate or it isn’t too ridiculously early in the barrel (like, right next to the fucking chamber or something) it should stil at least try to cycle...

Just remove the little plug. There should be a lever to the right of your rear sight. Pulling it up enough let's you remove the gas tube, pulling it more in the same direction will open up the little block that pushes your bolt back when you fire. It's got a spring in it, be careful and don't fucking lose it.
