Is this a bag that a LARPer would use for EDC/biking into work? I want something that doesn't scream TACTICOOL when I'm not hiking with it, but I also want to carry mags/targets/whatever else on the MOLLEshit when I'm headed out to shoot.

i just use a converse backpack and wrap my draco in a towel and let the spare mags sit against my back, the outside pocket holds my pistol mags

1) It screams tacticool
2) It's a pretty good backpack
3) It's far too overpriced for what it is

The problem is the color, velcro, and MOLLE scream "tactical".

I have a grey ghost gear Griff that use for everyday stuff and it's great. Good for carrying my shit at work or innawoods on the weekend.

Yeah, anything that has molle is a no go in my book.
Pic related is what I got. Isnt too tacticool and it serves well as a daypack.

Would you consider it overpriced at $295? That's my price with the discount.

Thoughts on this?

t. mystery ranch salesman

I was actually looking at their Urban Ex Daypack with a few others. Think the rolltop would drive me nuts.

if it has MOLLE it's tactikewl

user you stupid fucking nigger.
Yes that's overpriced you goddamn retard.

Even retarded hipster fashion 'hiking' brands aren't this expensive when it comes to normal backpacks.

'greyman' shit is the most retarded concept I've ever seen.
>I want to look normal
>so instead of buying from a normal brand, I will buy from a tactical brand
>but because it's not issued by any actual military, no one will notice!
Said every guy wearing 5.11 cargo pants and a polo with an obviously printing pistol. If it has molle, you already failed. If you want to look normal, you have to wear things normies wear, not the uniform of every single gun owner in the United States.

You are unironically less conspicuous wearing a UCP camo surplus backpack, because nobody who knows better would be using one.

if you want MOLLE without the tacticool aspect, it's probably your best bet (aside from just not giving a fuck what other people think)

if the roll top is an absolute no go for you, though, anything else from Chrome is 150% worth the money

Hey they make nice shit.

There is nothing these bags do that a schoolbag type pack won't do. Unless you're carrying over 20lbs regularly

Even something like this looks like it would take too long to open quickly and all those plastic buckles are going to give and take a lot of impacts over the years. They'd probably hold but all that clinking and clanking will get annoying.

I use something like pic related for everything...day hikes, going shooting, and bringing things into work. I'd prefer something like a goruck that was a sixth of what they ask and toned down a bit but it would still do the same as any school pack. And there are millions of no name school packs, technical outdoor style packs, commuters and laptop packs, and more on amazon and the like for less than $40.

Now if you are going to actually be carrying weight over long distances that's when packs rightfully get more complicated and expensive.

Even my EDC is over 20lbs. Laptop, tablet, some notebooks, a few technical manuals/books, gadgets, water/lunch, and then paperwork on top of that.

Something like this or the Chrome daypack were what I was looking at to begin with:
heimplanet.com/us-shop/Monolith-MINIMAL-Pack-18L-anthracite

But I'm not sure how much punishment it would stand up to on even a daily commute.

I got a goruck on sale and i really regret it tbqh

people keep asking me "is that a goruck, i'm thinking about buying one" and i have to try and dissuade them cause i'm not about to shill for some overpriced nonsense

I really like mine and I have been very happy with them.

I have an Echo and a GR1 both of which I picked up before the price hike stacked with my student discount. I've had the echo for 7 years and retired it a month ago when I bought my GR1. They're not worth it anymore with the price hike; however, I don't know what you could replace them with since I paid a fair price for mine back when I was in high school. I'm about to finish college so no idea what I'll use then.

Fwiw, no one has every commented on either of my gorucks in the 8 years I've been wearing them every day to school and outdoors.

>$295?
Nigga, that's overpriced at $100. You fucking retards drank the coolaid so hard. It's a backpack.

Osprey makes some really great shit. I use my Talon 22 for just about everything. Innacity, range day, day hikes and light camping with just a hammock. They are pretty versatile for the sizes you can buy and cant beat that lifetime replacement warranty

That looks like a Maxpedition clone. I have the Maxpedition Falcon II, and it's pretty fucking great.

This is currently my everyday bag, but I'm also in CuckedCity, NY for now.

>100% waterproof
>Net lets you attach tons of stuff if you want
>Huge storage capacity with a sleeve for a laptop or whatever you want
>Outer side pocket that will hide anything, no joke I can bring a full bottle of liquor into any concert or show I want, they never find this side pocket
>Doesn't draw attention like other tacticool gear might so no one will bother you

All their bags are solid as fuck. Can't speak to anything else they make (like clothes) since it's usually overpriced. They have sales all the time so you can grab this one for a discount pretty often, that's what I did.

>Laptop, tablet, some notebooks, a few technical manuals/books, gadgets, water/lunch, and then paperwork on top of that
What the fuck are you doing that you need all that shit with you all the time?
Why can't you just get digital copies of your books and papers?

Yes just get a backpack you sperg

Don’t waste your money on that poorfag shit. Anything less than $750 is going to be trash-tier.

Literally nobody but veterans and LARPers even fucking know what MOLLE is. No normie is going to think anything of seeing it on a backpack.

As a reluctant goruck owner $295 is way too much, iirc I paid $200 several years ago. Nowadays I'd just get a mystery ranch

How is this?
Too tacticool?

I'd go with a tactical version of a regular courier satchel.

Just get an osprey fag

jack bauer style, nice

unless you go out wearing a full ALICE pack setup, literally no one is going to pay attention to what backpack you have. Even a thief is going to be just as likely to grab that $5 jansport as he is that latest fashion euro-cyclist shit

Overpriced, but i will say that my GR2 does not have one single tear in the 8 years ive owned it. Cant say the same for my MR 3dap. Military use, backpacking overseas, weekend travel, etc. Went on tour bus in thailand with a bunch of aussies and canadians, and they liked that my backpack didnt stand out as much as all of their packs.

Negatives are the price, thats its uncomfortable in prone because it rides up high, and is not good for hiking with(not enough lumbar support for me).

Look at this disconnected nigger. They sell molle shit at Walmart m8.

Too damn expensive, just get a rush at this point, no one cares about tactical look with molle everywhere.

>tfw no one seems to make a hiking pack in matte black, coyote, or OD green instead of gay ass colors
is it so much to ask for an internal frame 5 liter rucksack that isn't in in sky blue and also has molle straps?

Get an older surplus one like a Czech pack. The reason they make them in retarded neon colors is so that rescue can find normies bodies after they get lost and die.

I've used a german mountain rucksack with the sleeping mat back support on a few hikes but felt like a goddamn autist the entire time. Euro style square packs are also annoying to load when you've spent decades with a rectangular american style backpack. Between it and the shit ass $7 backpack I bought in realtree the military packs are unergonomic as hell.

If you want a range bag, get a range bag and not a backpack.

I've got a GoRuck, I carry it. I'm really happy with it as an everyday backpack. The only comments I've ever gotten have been positive, nobody called me a sperg or anything. idk, lots of poorfags bitching but it's solidly built and comes with a lifetime warranty so idc

pic related it's mine btw

Yeah but what if SHTF and he needs to bug out from the parking lot?

Wow really? I couldn't tell.

>Bug out from parking lot
....what is a car trunk? You don’t keep gear in your trunk?

That's great and all, but what if you can't get back to your car? What if the enemy is parked behind you and you can't get to your trunk? Your gear is no use to you if you don't have it on you. If anything you're just arming the enemy.

If you are that autistic, might as well weaponize it.

> If you want to look normal, you have to wear things normies wear

I work in a college town in Cali. Molle packs are huge with the kids right now. Every other dreaded-out gender studies major is sporting enough PALS webbing to equip a militia squad.

Op you're so retarded it hurts. Just get any direct action bag. I recommend the dragon egg.
