So does the crew live anywhere or is it just the Star Trek command deck

>no conning tower
You know how many times people tried this with manned submarines and it did not work well.

arabs shouldn't own subs.

>rear firing torpedo tubes
>VLS
you only really need one...

manges tes morts fils de pute

Where is the forward sonar?
Looks to small to last for long missions in terms of battery capacity

>manges tes morts
Un authentique bougnoule.

How many times?

Meh

I've seen more impressive submarines with superior characteristics.

DCNS routinely puts those concepts out there as a way to keep their design teams busy. Nothing ever comes out of it but sometimes you see whacky concepts like the smx-25.

>t.North African subhuman scum

the smx series is just dcns paper subs that no one takes seriously. the smx 26 concept a while back was kinda cool. a sub with landing gear

This one at least looks more believable than the landing gear sub or the semi-submersible corvette.

It might work if the sub has enough freeboard when surfaced to not get swamped. Ideally a submarine should never have to surface except in port.

Smx-27 was essentially the shortfin barracuda that was sold to Australia. But yeah, as said here it's mostly to keep the engineers and design teams busy in between actual products.

Probably in the upper bow, above the torp tubes.

Ideally but it causes unintended design limitations. Sails will always be a vital part of a submarines as it provides them with depth from the surface to operate, space to house equipment and provides protection from sea states.

Its not a perception of technology but rather physics is the biggest problem causer.

How can it surrender without a flagpole for the white flag?

Not the first sub without it.

Frog here. On the DCNS promotional informations it doesn't have rear firing torp tubes, but a unique one with room for various torpedo sized unmanned vehicles. I can find you a page in french but no idea if there is any equivalent in english.

All the sensors are supposed to be distributed in the honeycomb coating

Here is the english version of Mer et Marine, probably the best informed french blog about naval news.
>en.meretmarine.com/

Here is their page on the SMX-31, in french, but google translate should give you something decent.

The periscope style mast will do.

Can't read any of the articles but
>All the sensors are supposed to be distributed in the honeycomb coating
It seems cool.

Tessa is DEAD

According to the blurb, it has 36 berths, but only 15 crew. The other 21 are for either combat divers or various drone technicians.
