I am going to give you guys a story real quick about how I almost did the same thing to my brother. Around late last year I wasn't into guns at the time (own a dozen now) but I worked in a family business and my brother was/is an opioid addict and constantly used even during work hours so you can imagine the frustration from everyone and it's hard to fire your own blood. I was tasked to take over managing the company, being the youngest, I was having an incredible stressful period of time both on a personal level since my ex really crippled me by cheating while I was raising the kids by myself and work stressed tasked for taking over the company so I had no breaks any time. My oldest brother used to be the one that runs the show and calls the shots so when the opioids fucked him up he became jealous and combative. It went so bad we were having shouting matches back and forth until it reached a point that he notified my landlord about my family dog that I had to give up since I couldn't afford to move. Long story short I was one step away from filing a police restraining order on him and his guns as retaliation for fucking up the company and fucking me over on my dog. I had written the report and printed everything up. But I had enough fuck you government in me to say no, I don't need a fucking government nanny stepping in. He probably would have ended up like the guy in the story. But my brother is not a hero. He's a spiraling down addict who just happened to like guns because I introduced him to it when I used to work at a gun range several years ago.
