I'm looking for a new carry gun and for the size the M&P 2.0 w/ 3.6in barrel seems to be a solid choice. My concern is the quality. I held the 4 inch barrel model in my LGS Saturday and it just felt like cheap shit. Plastic flash all over the frame, cheap feeling levers, etc.

I've got a Shield. It is the best-fitted gun I own? No. But it works great.

>Plastic flash all over the frame
So clean it up. Trimming flash is not hard or time consuming.

I'm carry a G17 now. I just wanted something a little easier to hide.

The problem is you, not the gun. The gun is almost universally praised for being very good quality. Stop thinking everything has to be special, it's a fucking tool.

>Is this gun actually good to go or a cheaply built pistol?
Both. It is literally a cheaply built pistol. That's why you can get them for $300 on sale pretty regularly. But it also works. Those are not mutually exclusive.

Two came into our shop, new, both broken. I've also seen more Shields come in for repairs than any other CCW

>The problem is you, not the gun.
>Worried about the quality of a firearm? WHAT ARE YOU RETARDED?!?!?

Nonsense.

The quality is perfectly fine, you're just a faggot.

The M&P has a good reputation, a lot of police force use. Don't forget to vote today, user.

I got the 4 incher and I love it.

Awww is S&W your dad or something?

oh ok thanks

It's both.

enjoy a shitpost from one of the best shooters in the country.

Seeing that Shields make up the highest percentage of carry guns it makes sense.

He's right the 2.0 shoots flatter than any other striker gun

It's actually the ruger lcp. Do some research before making claims.

Fact: The Ruger P226 Stainless Elite compact in FDE is the most carried gun in the world.

-Jow Forums

If you want polymer, go glock. They will go bang everytime, don't feel cheap, accurate, and are tough as they come.

The m&p doesn't have near the track record and service use, and it will not last as long ie the overall round count will not come close to a glock. If you really don't want a glock, then get a Walther ppq. Those two are the best pistols in the world right now no question. The m&p is low quality compared to either.

more horseshit meme quality b8

Negro please

To be fair if your Ruger lcp breaks you buy a new one.

Classic nonarguments from people who are either noguns or can't shoot a decent group to save their lives

Can you please link your data on the life expectancy of the M&P 2.0 over the Glock then please?

Well I certainly wouldn't recommend a Glock. I held one in a store, it felt like cheap plastic too- but it also cost more and wasn't as nice looking as an M&P. I guess save up and buy a Beretta.

He can't, he's just a butthurt glockfag. They last just as long and are just as reliable. The only reason you would rationally have for choosing a Glock is much larger aftermarket support.

I know.

Anyone carrying the APX compact?

IMO the M&P M2.0 quality is way above Glock's quality and it's a much cheaper (and better looking) pistol. I shot it side by side with my G19g3 after I got it and it easily out shot my Glock.

>t. currently CC a 4" Compact

My only complaint is they came out with the 3.6" after the 4" (I would have got that instead). That and the grip is TOO aggressive. A careful application of sandpaper took care of that and you'd never know it'd been done by the look of it.

If you're gonna go with a compact G19 size gun you can't go wrong with this one. Only legit complaint I hear from people is many don't like the trigger shape or the look. Undeniably it's reliable and accurate and the trigger is not bad (it's not great, but it's not bad at all and a far cry from the shit show that was the 1.0 trigger)

my m&p m2.0 compact kept getting light primer strikes with steel case ammo so i sold it and bought a glock. the stock m&p trigger is a gritty POS and pretty much requires an upgrade to the apex trigger kit which costs an extra $180.
personally i'm happier with the glock

Why people buy it. They're so cheap and lite, you should be carrying 3 of them.

Stay away from us made shit.

WHERE IS MY TAX STAMP MR. ATF
I have a full-size M&P45 2.0 Tactical and I've been waiting since March to put a suppressor on this bitch

What are those ugly cut (mold?) outs above the rail for?

You can buy an HK45 for $700 now. There is no excuse for buying this shit.

The 2.0 is vastly superior to the hk45

Time to stop posting

As far as I've been able to gather, they're to show off the metal frame structure, and the serial no is stamped into the right side of them

>i read it on Jow Forums it has to be true

Yeah except I paid $200 less for mine

>lower quality things cost less than higher quality things
You don't say

The one hating what they don't understand is you, who fails to see why someone would like something you don't like. I have nothing against HKs, I'll probably buy one some day. Maybe you should stop being a fag.

Don't worry about the fags user, the 2.0 series are some of the nicest shooting guns out there. You really can only exp;erience it at the range, not fingerbanging them at a fun shop.

>the cheap knockoff is better than the original
LMAO

The first gun I ever bought was the original M&P .40 full sized. I love it and always have. I thought about selling it a few times and just can't bring myself to do so.

>it feels like it's made out of cheap shit
That might be so, but I've never had any malfunction ever. It also has better ergos than a glock in my opinion, and it's far more comfortable to CC.

Tl;dr if you want an affordable pistol that won't fail you, this one is a solid choice.

>$450 for a quality striker fire service pistol
>$700 for a 90s SWAT meme gun
I like HK as a company, but yeah, I'll pass on that.

>someone ring the red HKphone, activate HK defense force, scramble the HK defense planes

>paying more monies=better product

glocksuckers be all like
> but I'm still the prettiest princess evar daddy!
>don't you love me?
>except there's new tight grips to be had
>and daddy's tired of worn out wrinkled up smelly holes.

so many new plastic pistols to choose from now. how's it feel to not be top dawg anymore??

I own both The 19 and 3.6. They’re both great. I had to put more money into the Glock but it has more option parts. The M&p is basically stock except for some polishing but it’s hard to find a good holster for it compared to the 19.

Basically for the cost of two m&ps I got my Glock to m&p feels and consistency, but I also have a little more options on holsters

>buying striker fired pistols

lol

OH WOW YOURE SO DIFFERENT YOU DONT LIKE STUFF THATS POPULAR CAN I HANG OUT WITH YOU
