I guess part of the reason that that was never built was because salted bombs are cheaper and have the same effect, no matter where its detonated

Are weapons above the tsar possible? What's the limit if there is one?

come on and slam and welcome to the jam!

how likely are gas attacks and biological attacks in the near future? it seems to be a really good inside job-type weapon, where it causes condemnation towards anyone who is alleged to have used it, but it is still risky for the reason that such schemes can be revealed to the public (and would probably cause a shitstorm).

I doubt whoever uses it as a false flag would keep it a secret for long, chem and bio weapons are easy to trace.

This is a model of how thermonuclear weapons work. The secondary is what makes it a thermonuclear weapon. Tzar Bomba had a secondary and a tertiary, so theoretically you could have as many secondaries as possible until its destroyed before it can fizzle.

Yeah if there is an upper limit to nuke tech we haven't found it yet. Gnomon and Sundial were projects to build bombs with a gigaton yield and 10 gigaton yield respectively. They were never built because most of the explosion would go into space like how the tsar did, but the math seemed good so they theoretically should have worked. blog.nuclearsecrecy.com/2012/09/12/in-search-of-a-bigger-boom/

Tfw located near primary and secondary targets. I think I'll die within a day or two of acute radiation sickness quite painfully.

How are these things such chodes, but can carry like 8 MIRVs?
I mean of course, Ive never liked how American nukes were scaled way the fuck down to the point of barely being stronger than a fucking MOAB.

>read articels about future security trends
>they mention human-made diseases that only kills people with a certain genetic makeup

if we disregard the obvious moral implications and the risks of the weapon mutating after you've let it out that really sounds like the perfect weapon if you want to target a specific population indiscriminately but leave the infrastructure intact.

american nukes are very accurate, that one trident can take out multiple targets

>barely being stronger than a fucking MOAB.
You mean barely being a thousand times stronger.

>make africa safe for civilization again

Chemical weapons take a relatively complex factory to produce in usable quantities, and are easy to detect w/ laser spectroscopy. They're probably obsolete for the foreseable future.

Bioweapons, OTOH, haven't even begun to get gud

>gay little nuke is 1000x stronger than MOAB
Why the fuck not make it 1000000x stronger than a fucking MOAB?
We do have the tech, but we cucked out over the treaties, meanwhile Russian and Chink MIRVs have like 6 3Mt warheads, and ours have 8 300kt war heads.
Thats fucking gay as shit and you know it.

This gives me hope, thank you user

No, you're gay, and dumb because you don't understand the consequences of blast scaling as a cube, radiation/heat as a square.

2 100kt bombs do more damage than 1 200kt bomb, and that's before hitting multiple targets or calculating complex blast effects.

Big bombs are for people who can't afford the precision fuses to use multiple small bombs, which limits them to counter-value, which keeps them from big-dicked posturing about how we can survive a limited war and they can't.

Come on and slam and welcome to the jam!

>Why the fuck not make it 1000000x stronger than a fucking MOAB?
Because there is generally no need to. Blast power scales with volume, not radius. Multiple smaller warheads are more efficient. Why do you think multiple smaller conventional bombs are generally preferred over a single big bomb? Same logic applies to nuclear devices.

There simply is no need for something like the tsar bomba. Most modern nukes actually come with mechanism to dial down their yield to suit the application, which in thermonuclear devices is quite trivial.

That's not how shockwaves work you dumb fuck. No missile ain't uprooting no trees.

Mirvs are pretty small.

I dunno, Cummins ain't that bad.

Attacks with shitty gasses - poorly made sarin and mustard - are likely as the Arabs like using them. Gas works best against poorly equipped and undisciplined forces, such as you tend to find in the MENA region, and has worked well for both Iraq and Syria. Egypt managed to fail with its CW use in Yemen in the 70s, mostly because they were using it wrong.

The use of more advanced agents is unlikely as the states capable of manufacturing them have more effective options available to them.

chemical weapons seem out of place next to nuclear and biological weapons in the WMD category.
Hell you could probably cause more damage with a computer virus than gas
