EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Is electronic ear protection a meme or should i just get passive ear protection?

You should always double up when firing indoors with anything higher than a 9mm/.223

Attached: sw36.jpg (3839x2159, 2.14M)

Electronic ear protection is great. Use plugs under it. Ultimate shooting comfy, plus you can hear what people are saying.

Just make sure the cups fit your ears. Honestly I prefer standard plugs

Not a meme but once you outgrow Howard Leight Impacts boy they get expensive. The problem is that active muffs are insufficient for pistols indoors or rifles anywhere so you end up having to put plugs under muffs, which kills half the benefit of active hearing protection. Active muffs (without plugs) are great when you're not right next to the rifle or when you're just shooting pistols outdoors though.

Same, lately I've been mostly forgoing muffs because plugs are comfier and I can still hear through them.

get electronic in-ear monitors that are custom fit by a audiologist.
more comfortable than any other option, and way more durable than over-ear stuff.
buy once, cry once.

Do they stay in when running around operatan?

Reposting my OC

yes, especially the custom ones.
musicians wear similar products running and dancing and jumping around the stage all day.
if you use the standard tips they can slip out eventually, but they will move around a lot less than over-ear stuff.

get some noisefighters gel pads for the howard leights, makes a huge difference in comfort

Muh berettas

gel cups are the absolutely worth the money. Huge improvment in noise reduction and comfort.
I dont have the NF ones but i hear (no pun intended) that theyre great. The eye pro cutout is a good idea

LGS has a RIA 1911 A1 CS for sale for straight 4. I dont have a 1911 yet so im tempted. Thoughts?

Muh cz, got the .45 since i'm "limited" to 10 rds

Tbh the SP2022>P320
cry me a river army fags

Go handle a Nighthawk 1911 to know what you're compromising on, & if you want to save for something nicer (more expensive)

A-user, when i say straight 4 i mean 400 not 4 grand.

I’m a poor college fag so I only have two handguns, one of which is a heritage rough rider. Is it worth it to get the 22 WMR conversion cylinder or should I just save up for a heftier gun?

Sd9ve, Ruger has a few under $300 budget options, Bulgarian Mak. All fine budget options

how do I fit the bullets in

I bought 45 acp but they don’t fit

Attached: CDD6D0A1-9206-4500-9503-553A40F554CD.jpg (3824x2866, 1.77M)

Nice!

You might could find a used Hi Point for around $100. Maybe less.

I think he just means to see what a "good" 1911 feels and looks like. idk if I've ever seen a Nighthawk in a store but you could find something in the $1,000-1,500 range to contrast with the RIA.

Nothing wrong with RIA btw.

That's a .44 you idiot. It says so right on the gun.

You need to get .44 magnum.

>I’m out of images
You fags ran out of images the second or third thread. Don’t think we haven’t all noticed that you constantly repost pictures of the same shitty Walthers and the same shitty keyboard.

Strike the back of the cartridges with a hammer to seat them in the cylinder.

Here's a new one.

What is a really nice looking compact/pocket pistol for someone who dresses formally often?

Revolver 22lr or semi? Which is better?

semi, 22 revolver gets boring quick

what's the other gun?

beretta.com/en-us/px4-storm-subcompact/

What gay hell is this?

nice revolver

>getting a Px4 that doesn't even have the rotating barrel
Eww, just get a Tomcat or a PPK, it's way classier.

Attached: Tomcat-lead.jpg (1800x1171, 657K)

Colt Walker

Attached: USP45 ELITE 81618 2.jpg (1200x900, 541K)

what are some classy 22s? PPK?

S& W hasen't released a good gun in 25+ years
going to Glock

What makes a pistol concealed carryable?
Or what's the ideal length and or height?

ok thanks

Yeah, PPK/S and the Beretta Bobcat are pretty fancy.

I find that anything over around 5.10 inches tall will be too uncomfortable to carry aiwb. And anything under like 4.50 tall is too small to comfortable draw from in duress quickly

Just acquired my Falco shoulder holster, all nice and adjusted.

>get a cool 90's style shoulder holster
>not for a beretta 92
bad job by you

How do I into paddle mag releases on USPs? What is the correct method of using them because it always seems to be blocked by my right hand ring finger when I go to use it.

only solution is buy a gun with a quality mag release

Who makes good 9mm 1911 mags these days?

Fuck Beretta 92s.

>complaining about the most widespread military sidearm in the world
>muh kimber
>muh glock

Very common issue. The paddle works best when used with the middle finger of your shooting hand. It allows you to depress it firmly without shifting your hand and is very fast.

the more important question is: who doesn't?

user USPs are from the 90s. Beretta 92 is the quintessential 80s gun - how do you not know this already?

Pretty accurate but give or take a quarter of an inch depending on physique and clothing style

the 92 really gained fame in 87/88 but was consistently popular through the 90's. usp was never even close to that level.

A little odd but it's much easier than what I have been doing, thanks.

imo mostly grip length, followed by thiccness, followed by slide length. What dimensions are good or not are personal preference like user laid out.

There's no one right way to eat a Reese's but most people use their middle or index finger of the shooting hand but depending on the gun and your hands, you may be able to hit it with your thumb. I use my index finger for most paddles but P99s in particular I can use both my thumb and index finger simultaneously which reduces the amount of pressure either single finger has to apply.

Mec-gar, ACT, Metalform, Wilson Combat, Chip McCormick and Colt for starters. There are plenty of others up there with them.

Attached: expanded wood.jpg (3400x1275, 1.23M)

For $13 I'll grab some Mecgars and if they don't work well who cares

>implying you actually shoot your guns

>implying you actually own guns

>implying you’re old enough to own guns

now you

>he buys his comforter at walmart

Kek, okay kiddo. Keep seething over getting proved wrong.

How is this as a deal?

Attached: Screenshot_20181107-193129.png (1543x2048, 1.13M)

it's a tie, no one is seething fag

It's a $1200 gun new

>$1200 gun
>being sold for $1000
i fail to see the confusion

Idk, you seem pretty upset over a comforter.
>I actually got it from Khol’s :^)

Wilson combat is the gold standard of 1911 mags right now. Some people think chips are "just as good" or tripps might be a little better(and a bit pricier...) but the base level WC mags have the most glowing endorsements IME. I've had zero malfunctions with my 3 47Ds in over 500 rounds so far.
gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/colt wiley clapp stainless

Looks pretty alright, kinda in the "why not just get a DW" price range but then again i am a shameless shill for them.

Recent acquisition. Needed a new 9 to put a can on.

Attached: one foot of gun.jpg (2256x4032, 1.14M)

I wanna say I paid around $400 for that PP. I wish it were a PPK.

fune meem

I mean it's less than what it would cost you new but the features of the gun don't line up with the price imo. That's more a Colt thing than anything else. I think you could get a similarly equipped gun *new* for hundreds less than that Colt *used*, or a tighter fit semi-custom from Dan Wesson for a little more.

For example
gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/1911CO-45-T-C3
gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/798681473328
gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/736676067022 (not checkered)
gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/885293963351 (not stainless)
gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/885293963603 (stainless but not checkered)

Other than price, nothing wrong with Colt pistols, and that's a nice one in particular.

Neat

Do you guys known anything of this manufacturer, Jimenez Arms?

I turn 21 next month. I already know what two handguns I want to get, but the order in which I get them is the question. It'll be a minute before I can get another, so...
>Glock 26 for carry
or
>CZ 75 for plinky fun time

Would you trade a 19x for a Springfield RO elite 9mm compact?

Post pics of your guns

Attached: 20181105_140401.jpg (4032x3024, 2.59M)

I rented a Gen 4 glock 17 and I really dig it so I want a Glock now.
Should I just get a Gen 4 or wait for my LGS to restock a Gen 5 or G45?

I can get a new Gen 4 G19 with night sights for less than it would cost me to buy a stock one one and add them myself. Do I need a night sight? Not really I didn't mind the white box rear sight, but this is going to do double duty as a plinking/night stand gun. I also love how a G19 looks with a compact pistol light.

Attached: ACG-05-1_04[1].jpg (1152x768, 242K)

Why cant you just get a nice gun instead of trading overpriced meme shit for overpriced meme shit

G26 with stendo grips for the range. Can always buy a new plinker, cant unrape your bumhole because your CZ75 was "too heavy" to bother carrying.

Attached: Burlesque.jpg (1200x800, 212K)

The 19x isn’t a great shooting gun?

A E S T H E T I C

Not for the price. For half, eh.

I don’t get how people can say all glocks are ugly
Get the gen 4. Not a single gen 5 change can honestly be considered an improvement

>personal opinions incoming
>Should I just get a Gen 4 or wait for my LGS to restock a Gen 5 or G45?
The gen 5's lack of finger grooves may give it a bit of a different feel in the hand, lots of people like it but some really prefer the glock brand glock grooves. I'd recommend trying before you buy to see if its better or worse, otherwise just go with the gen 4 since you know you like it.
>Do I need a night sight?
Personally i like them. They make it easier to quickly find a bedside gun in the dark, and allow you to acquire a basic sight picture before using a WML for a shoot/no shoot determination. It's the difference between having to let a bad guy know you're there and then line them up or line them up and then let him know you're there. A small difference in time but a crucial one IMO. It's also true that even without a WML there are some fringe lighting/environmental situations where you can make a shoot/no shoot determination but may not be able to quickly and accurately acquire a sight picture due to the poor lighting. All in all i think they aren't an absolute must but they are worth the price and personally i put them on almost any defensive firearm.
>night stand gun.
Do keep in mind that as a safetyless firearm it's extremely advisable that you keep your glock holstered while doing nightstand duty. People are capable of great feats of momentary stupidity when half awake and the mild extra risk of not using one isn't worth the non-existent reward.
>I also love how a G19 looks with a compact pistol light.
True nuff, personal advice would be to avoid inforce lights. They look very nice and are very low profile but durability and longevity tend to be lower with them according to most any serious user ive heard from than the other major WML brands(namely surefire and streamlight)

>I’m a glock man
God I love boomers

Attached: Doomshot.jpg (1349x649, 224K)

>you fags
I mean
If /arg/ can do it why can’t we?

Honestly I don't think glocks are ugly but they def have an aesthetic to em in my opinion so they look good to me without being conventionally beautiful

settle down

Did you try anything else at all?

S&W shield vs Kahr Cw9

Which is gooder?

Fudds and mallninjas
This. CC is more important than a range toy. If you really want a CC, but also really want a CZ, get the RAMI.

>mallninjas
Mallninjas are a cornerstone of the glock customer base
