>almost as good as armor
I have to agree with you. Ive been to a couple of air museums and enjoyed them just as much as armor

Where'd ya see them? I went to see them when they came to my area two weeks ago.

They stopped by Dothan, Alabama back in Feb.

Crazy how 10 years later, the small A-4F Skyhawk can carry the same payload and range as the B-17.

It's much smaller than I always imagined. I guess it explains the miniscule bomb load.

Beep Beep incoming imagedump

One flew to Stewart and my dad took me and they let anyone just climb all around. I wish I actually payed more attention besides just wanting to sit in the nose. My boy scouts also got to go tour C-5s and C130sbecause one of the dad's worked there.

Shit was cash

>chromed ignition harness
The radial engine overhaul guy I used to work with called this niggerizing.
The ignition harness originally left the Wright factory with a dull grayish silver cadmium plating.
You wouldn't see ww2 planes with chromed engine bling.

I got to fly in one of these in December 2016 in Houston. That was fun

My secret fetish is to be a gunner on one of those.

>tfw chairforce bases to the north, east, and a fuck huge one with bombing range to the far south
>heard the very distinctive sound of A-10s flying over my home a couple days ago but couldn't see them because clouds
