M1 garand or kar98k?

> sniper rifle
There fixed that for you cod kiddy

>as a sniper rifle
Springfield, but you wouldn’t be a sniper regardless.
>using a garand as a sniper rifle

If you think the M1 Garand was the best than your obviously smoking more meth than me new friend

M2 machine gun, .50 BMG. I don't think it was used as a sniper rifle in WW2, but it was around then. It was used as one in the Vietnam War. Carlos Hathcock sniped Charlie with it.

Thats why i had a question mark at the end
And it wasnt bad

>garand as a sniper
Please leave Jow Forums and don't post until you've become educated in the subjects of firearms and are eligible to provide real information not just bullshit you see in movies or video games.

Because Carlos Hathcock in Vietnam is obviously WW2 fuck man where did all the idiots come from

It wasn't great and OP asked for great thanks for your opinion newfriend

It's time to stop posting.

Well what would you consider great in the time of ww2?

Not him but maybe start with a M/28-30 because of it's proven track record.

this.
M39 is arguably even better.

Thanks man it gets a little boring feeding the idiots by myself

reading comprehension, dumbass. OP's question was a two-parter.

>Garand as best general-purpose rifle
>98k as best marksman rifle

>No guys I meant to be retarded, really!

Probably hand picked k98s. If I'm not mistaken, they had the highest BC rifle load of the war

The Russian made Soviet Mosin-Nagant rifle 91-30 was and is the best rifle ever produced because it was made by true party members of the Communist party
It’s the People’s rifle

Here's your >"im a muhreen"

M1 Garand

"greatest battle implement ever devised" - George Patton.

You guys are memes

Best rifle is the M1 Garand
Best for use as a sniper rifle could be any major power's bolt action

I trust Patton's word over yours, autist.

Good to see you found your way home from /lit/ stalker. Good job

I married one of Patton's relatives, autist that makes you my bitch too besides she's wrong all the time he probably was too

>What is accuracy and range?

Patton took a cavalry sword and made it worse because he thought it looked cooler.

GRUG NO WANT FIRE GRUG NO WANT WHEEL
GRUG WANT ROCK AND BUG

Please tell me, would you rather face an enemy who has a bolt action or a semi-auto rifle? WHY DO YOU THINK GERMANS DEVELOPED G43/STG44? YES I MAD

what the fuck are you talking about?

go back wherever you came from ?

Ohhh shit you caught me, I got lost but I came back to my humble home in S.T.A.L.K.E.R but I still plan to explore other places and I thought I had eliminated but it seems that it was not eliminated better I will go to eliminate it now

Do you really think someone will go on the internet to tell lies?

bolt-action: K98k
semi-auto: M1 Garand
select fire: StG 44

What do you think about the Lee-Enfield rifle?

I don't know who Lee Enfield is or what rifle you're talking about

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee–Enfield
Let's say this one:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee–Enfield#Rifle_No._4

That looks like it would be very painful

But how does it compare in hurtfullness compared to the K98k?

Spoken like a true Jow Forumsommando

b-but what if its a cut down m91 made by loyal
monarchist followers of the czar pre1917 ?

weeeell if u are in a 12 man group,
one mg42 with loader and the rest 5 k98s
and 5 mp 40s, who nerds a semauto anyways? infantry doctrine...

It would still be better if those 5 bolt-action rifles were semi-autos instead.
