Got called into a museum I do research at to help ID three crates of guns. Took pictures for y'all. The firearms collection here is super eclectic, if I got anything wrong let me know.
Let's start with an absolutely gorgeous Smith and Wesson Model 2 Army

Where do they just get 3 crates of collectible milsurp? Seems weird they aren't labelled already or come with an inventory list
November 8, 2018 - 20:11
Really? I’d have thought they would want as little skin contact possible on the guns. Definitely some cool shit regardless though. >pic related

They've got catalog numbers and entries, some of which are incomplete or incorrect. Plus we need to confirm their existence and location

doesnt make sense for a museum to hoard more than 5 of anything
November 8, 2018 - 22:11
what the fuck? does some gay museum really need 3 crates of lugers? Just put one in a display case and release the rest into the wild!
November 8, 2018 - 22:13

Saving all these images and I didn't even ask. Call the police I don't care.
November 8, 2018 - 22:28
Just one. They'll never notice.
November 8, 2018 - 22:38
That’s an Early model, or perhaps a prototype. It reminds me of the clover guns colt made, and I believe they experimented with doing that to their army/larger pattern guns. I’m fairly certain Ian has made a vid on something like that.
The cylinder is so strange compared to production models. Looks vaguely lefecheaux. Perhaps a conversion or ripoff? Sexy! Oh good grief... I need a C96 in my life...
November 8, 2018 - 22:38
Yes they will unfortunately.
November 8, 2018 - 22:41
Rip forgot pictures

>"Why can't I hold all these Uzis?!"
November 8, 2018 - 23:49
Now we just wait for a natural disaster and raid the place for "emergency supplies"
November 9, 2018 - 01:05
This needs to be bumped and appreciated
November 9, 2018 - 01:59
It's pristine. No catalog number or any record though... Director and I joked about walking out with it. Soon as a museum gets a reputation for guns disappearing though a lot fewer people are willing to donate them
November 9, 2018 - 04:17
What museum is this anyway? I could use a job there.
November 9, 2018 - 09:25
What caliber was the 1873?
November 9, 2018 - 09:28
Back action locks are hideous.
November 9, 2018 - 09:30
.32 wcf. Little confused why someone would buy all that rifle but so little bullet To be fair this one's really beat up
November 9, 2018 - 14:52
>Director joked that it was a standard issue Stalingrad rifle the director sounds like a cool dude
November 9, 2018 - 14:58
Just asking. You got any of those WW2 M1 training rifles from Parris? I own two so I assume they are extremely common.
