I have a Ruger vaquero. Anyone know any good concealed carry holsters that would be good for it? Pic related

First of all, CCW a single action revolver sounds retarded.

Second of all, how good is the Vaquero compared to the Blackhawk?

Fucking brilliant. Best revolver and a lot better than my black hawk. Got it used for 450 in perfect condition and asked myself why the fuck someone sold it

Can you fan one of these without breaking it? It might be the best CCW of all, if so

Google is your friend

I wanted a pair of Blackhawks to play cowboy at the range. Not just because of RDR2, I've been wanted them for years.

Would a Blackhawk/vaquero combo look stupid?

I'm not saying it wouldn't be fun to carry, just carry a classic holster. Wear a coat to cover it if need to be. Just know how to use it, dead is dead.

Yeh I tried fanning it and it seems ok. How the fuck do you break a revolver while fanning it

Give source please

Naa. Nothing wrong mixing the two

> CCL a six shooter
Ya'll are capital people. Just capital.

I've heard rumors the blackhawk can take hot loads and the Vauqero can't, any truth?

The fuck do you mean hot loads kek

New vaquero is a little lighter framed and smaller, old vaquero is basically a Blackhawk with old groove and blade sights.

Name one thing wrong about CCL a 6 shooter

Fanning wears down the sears and trigger components because it's so fast. You could take it to a gunsmith to fit it with parts to be able to fan it.

I’ve had my Ruger Single Six for almost 30 years, with plenty of fanning for fun. If something is wearing down or breaking I’d say it’s operator error.

nice guns, but did you read the owner's manual before use?

Well rugers are built like tanks. I meant that other for other revolvers.

What do you guys think about the .327 FedMag Single Seven? I really like the look of the blued bisley and the catridge is starting to make a little sense to me.

I can't decide between a Uberti/Cimarron SAA clone and a Vaquero.
Do you all like the Vaquero's safety features or the Uberti/Cimarron's authenticity?

In that case I apologize for my snarky comment. Never owned a single action that wasn’t Ruger so I can’t say anything.

6 shots beats 5 all things being equal

I say the spaghetti guns are more fun. Rugers are nice, but it bothers me how modern they are.

>tfw born to late to enjoy the wild west
Why even live. All I want to do is wear a duster and carry six shooters and not look like an autist

This. We were born 170 years too late to truly enjoy the good years

Which revolver brands aren’t so modern user?

This , plus the newer Cattleman revolvers habe a floating firing pin so loading six is reasonably safe. I just like how the Ubertis feel a little less perfect and more rustic than the Rugers.

I did in fact, your point?

Can I fan a Pietta without fucking it up?

Attached: muh_revolver.jpg (5344x3006, 3.39M)

No. And you can't shoot it normally without fucking it up, either. Why did you buy a Pietta are you that poor?

It’s a half truth.

I have an old model 45 Colt and 2 of the newer 357 Mag guns. The cylinder has a smaller diameter on the new model that was specifically made to match the profile of a SAA for cowboy action shooting. 357 magnum can be loaded to SAAMI specs without issue, undoubtedly even more in both new and old guns.

This is the confusing part for some people:

You only run into a problem when you use “Ruger Only” 45 Colt loads in the new model Vaquero. There is a lot less meat between chambers in the new model cylinders, just like the SAA design it is modeled after. It will take BP and smokeless SAAMI spec 45 Colt all day, just don’t run the Ruger Only loads in them. This makes sense because the modern smokeless SAA can’t either.

This is kinda confusing as the Ruger Only loads were in use for all Ruger 45 Colt chambered guns BEFORE the new model Vaquero came out. Reloading g manuals started the Ruger Only trend years ago to help people with getting the most out of their Ruger revolvers. I bought my old model Vaquero for this reason. It has a bigger cylinder diameter than my two New Vaqueros but I can load hot custom ammo in it that meets the power of some lower end 454 Casull data.

Seems to work fine and everything else I've heard says it works fine. Maybe you're just retarded.

Lot of men with good taste in single action revolvers in here.

I would never fan a SA colt model unless it was specifically tuned for it.

Thank you kindly, stranger

your sister can take my *very hot* loads, so i'd say the vaquero is fine.

thanks for this user. I was always curious about the 357 in the new vaquero. Nice.

Over a long period of time it'll wear parts down and springs.

Mernickle Holsters (John Taffin recommended): model no.: PS6-SA REF1

Fucking classy. I’m your Huckleberry

Not that user. Ruger just billboards read the manual on the side of their barrels

Ive CCW'd my Schofield for the lols before with a cheap uncle mikes holster for shits and giggles before. But I prefer OCing it.

I OC'd (with H&R in my pocket) it on Halloween this year and larped as a cowboy. With RDR2 out everyone loved it and nobody asked if it was real at any of the bars/partys I was security included.

You're a total G

.44 magnum hollowpoints or FMJ for carry? I've heard FMJ is recommended for magnum for some reason.

single action is best action.

Attached: DSC_3396_CC_50.jpg (2464x1632, 2.64M)

It's not about the six shooter. It's about carrying a single action vs a modern double action.

How much did u pay for rn?

SOURCE MOTHERFUCKER

Forgive but what are these Ruger only loads? Are they reloaded or sold in stores?

Attached: 160991[1].jpg (880x660, 193K)

Are you expecting the rof difference to actually matter ever?

TY

Is this the only brand to look out for?

gonna say that's a Milt Sparks Summer Special?

*Revolver Ocelot*

I understood what that user was driving at and was trying to be cheeky with my response. If a bit of writing on the barrel bothers people instead of real issues.. well that’s them. If the gun shoots straight and goes bang when you pull the trigger is what I concern myself with. Ruger tends to do both pretty well in my experience.

Bought a EMF New Dakota .357 the other day for the sake of it. $400 after tax and such. Judge it.

Simply Rugged makes pancake holsters for them and they install IWB loops for extra.

That brand makes what you need. That's only one option they offer.
