>usually carry my xd service model or cz po9 instead
Isaac Ramirez
That’s actually a big selling point of the Polymer80 guns - same functionality, but with different (and many people think better) ergos.
Liam Robinson
So you didn't know anything about anything before walking into a gun shop, and made a purchase on the same date? I mean, a lot of people do that, but don't pretend you are above anyone with your wit or anything.
Anthony Robinson
I had played around with a friend’s custom agency Glock and that gun was nice, it was also like 1500 bucks. I never had glocks before and prefer carrying cocked and locked for cc so I had sigs and hks, non custom glocks just looked so ugly I never wanted one. This was my first time fingering a stock Glock and I was shocked by how shitty it seems put together

>phoneposting >anti-glock shillery
this thread seems legit, high quality, totally worth participating in, and not at all sage-worthy
Buy a stock Glock -need a stipple job to fix shit ergo -need to cut finger grove to fix shit ergo - need to cut finger grove to allow glove access - need a new trigger to fix shit trigger -need to install new sights stock is some plastic shit - need custom slide release extension cause can’t hit - need slide cut because no top serration - need more custom slide cut to allow belt racking
Yeah *sip* perfection
Ryder Sullivan
>need a stipple job to fix shit ergo You don't need a stipple job, and stippling doesn't fix "ergo", it just adds grip. Reshaping != stippling.
>cut finger grove to fix shit ergo Somewhat valid point, depending on your hand size the Glock knuckle is real. But this is fixed in 5 minutes with a dremel.
>need to cut finger grove to allow glove access Completely untrue.
>need a new trigger to fix shit trigger No you don't, and in fact I would go so far as to say if you're carrying a custom trigger Glock, you're dumb. Glock stock triggers are fine, you just need to learn to shoot instead of using a 1lb glass break as a crutch to your shitty trigger control.
>need to install new sights stock is some plastic shit Glock will sell you OEM night sights now, and they're fine (and steel, not that it really matters). I don't like the basketball style sights and recommend night fision or trijicon HD, though, so fair enough.
>need custom slide release extension cause can’t hit Get the OEM extended slide release.
>need slide cut because no top serration You shouldn't need this at all. If for whatever reason you want more grip, add some skate tape.
>need more custom slide cut to allow belt racking Wut? Rack off your sights. Even the plastic factory sights will work for that, but again, Trij HD or Night Fision makes it easier.
>*sip* perfection Perfection doesn't mean one-size-fits-all. Perfection means adaptability. Perfection means dependability. And moreover, perfection means cost. All the necessary upgrades I just discussed will cost you about $75 total, so you're still well under the price of most competing pistols that are not as reliable or safe.
Ethan Gomez
The Glock trigger is atrocious, I guess I grew up shooting 1911s so I am biased but the ppq/vp9 is much better
Xavier Rivera
ladies and gentlemen, we got em

>The Glock trigger is atrocious which is why every manufacturer has basically ripped it off now, and still almost never can compete with the glock's smooth short reset, consistent predictable break, safety, and simplicity of maintenance?
Henry Long
>need to cut finger grove to allow glove access >Completely untrue. Handlet confirmed.
Ayden Thompson
I held a 45 and I liked it, felt quite natural and the trigger was pretty nice. Flared magwell seemed a bit much, and the coating felt a bit slick but that was the only thing I could complain about
Christopher Ortiz
I didn't do any of this and I really like mine, but it's nice to have options and the aftermarket support is great
Robert Barnes
Glock is a combat pistol meant to survive six months of fighting. nothing more. The parts are intended to be quick for armors to rebuild and get back into service. The parts are meant to be quick to fabricate.
Think how cheap and still functional a true war Glock would be. No firing pin safety. Flat stamped trigger group parts. You could even ditch the slide stop.
Understand what the gun was made for. fighting Russians at the Fulda Gap in the 80's.
Christopher Lopez
OH LOOK ITS THIS THREAD AGAIN DOT JAY PEE GEE
Mason Reyes
This. I’ve never heard someone complain about a Glock’s ergos or controls who was taller than like 5’7”. The finger grooves and slide release work perfectly fine for someone with normal adult male sized hands.
Gabriel Bell
This thread again, great. Glocks are excellent weapons. If they don't fit you, buy something else, there are other good options out there. Your only complaints were about ergos, don't be a retard and use that to explain why a gun is bad, it just doesn't fit you personally. Kys with your glock copy of choice
Oh, and if you can't shoot well with a 5.5 lb glock trigger, you just suck at shooting.
Carson Bell
The people that bitch about 6lb. striker triggers being 'mushy' have probably never fired them or are handling a NIB model with zero break-in. You really don't notice when you're actually shooting them unless you're shooting at 30 yard targets or have soilent finger syndrome. The only striker trigger I've used that was objectively awful for the pistol size was on an SD9VE.
I know this is a troll, but I'll explain: a lot of machining hours goes into making a Glock. so the cost comes mostly from labor, not materials.
Landon Clark
>putting machining hours into a plastic toy Yikes!
Bentley Miller
Y'all can feel free to stop doing these any time you like.
Easton Morgan
Ah yes. Companies like FN, Sig, CZ, and Kriss have all ripped off the glock trigger cause it's so good. They are nothing like shitty S&W, Springfield, and Ruger.
Brandon Johnson
If your weapon relies on an aftermarket, it isn't perfect.
Landon Moore
>Tfw you realize actual operators are typically between 5'8-5'10 Kys lanky nigger enjoy back and knee issues.
