Holosun

I found my T2 on eBay for $550. The holidays are approaching. People will be selling their shit to fund their vacations and gifts.

NO

Sorry I was gone for so long. Glad I found you all again. My internet went down, and I figured that they were coming for me because I surf too much Jow Forums. I posted in the last thread about getting a Romeo 5 RDS, only to find out that my dumb ass certainly has a minor astigmatism. I have no problem with regular scopes/sights, and I guess Ill be going back to the luggage handle + 4x scope. I hate the look of full sized scopes on the luggage handle, and really want access to open sights. I tried the RDS in multiple positions, and it made no difference. I used the small rear sight, and that made a HUGE difference, but I would rather just paint the front sight pin blaze orange than put up with that. I may be a poor fag when it comes to ARs, but I enjoy shooting for fun, and don't compete for money.

I would have posted more, but my mother-in-laws vehicle broke down about an hour and a half away when they were visiting family, and I certainly had more questions.

With a small astigmatism, is there anything I can do? There has to be other shooters suffering from this. I am nearly 40, and never had a problem with my vision until I tried to use this RDS today. I read conflicting things ranging from Polarized glasses to surgery. I don't even take asprin, so I am 100% against surgery. I have been tested multiple times at 20/12 vision with some variance, but the overall is that I see distance very well. I always take care of my eyes, but work around welders.

Thanks again anons!

pic related/can't use it.

Fuck on out of here

Looking for an 18. Thinking either Larue 5.56 Stealth Barrel or brownells.com/rifle-parts/barrel-parts/rifle-barrels/ar15-m16-criterion-barrels-prod54733.aspx

Attached: Spray paint.png (620x346, 283K)

>What kind of riser is that? Half inch?
Its the one that came with it. The dot sits right nice at the top of the front sight pin.

Not a bad idea, thanks user.

If i'm looking to buy an AR pistol, should I go with .300 or just stick with 5.56?

Got a can?

Maybe I've had to much to drink, but I don't know what you mean.

Attached: 45712674_291997661652244_3178303969730494464_n.jpg (2048x831, 387K)

Suppressors are known as cans

Attached: NFA TWINS.jpg (3899x2511, 2.04M)

ah. Not at the moment, but I plan to get one.

So then go 5.56 and if you want a real rifle for everything in pistol format get a 11.5 inch

With MLOK now being the rail of choice for just about everyone where can I find used keymod ones being dumped on the market at blowout prices?

why build a clone on an aero lower? also no m203 cinch?

This build in particular was put together using my parts bin, everything except the surefire was sitting in a box and I got that m4 itch so here we are. Waiting on a DD 14.5 to be dropped off and working on getting a colt lower

Centurion has 15" CMRs with keymod for $120 currently. I'd get one if I wanted a new rail but I'd rather save for other Black Friday shit

18" let's you use rifle gas too

Attached: 1539383626062.png (558x345, 374K)

What’s a good buffer spring to get for my 10.3 inch with non adjustable gas block, I’m looking to buy once so being able to add or remove weight would be cool

Anyone have a Wolf A1 upper?
I'm thinking of getting one and trying to fuck with it so I can install a side charging receiver on it.

Got a wild hair up my ass because my LGS had two custom logo New Frontier PCC lowers in stock.

Hi all new gun owner here. I would like to mount the pressure switch for my flashlight as shown here in the image. Any advice as to out to get the switch mounted on the side? Would super glue be acceptable?

Attached: 9nqn9zud1cx11.jpg (1574x2100, 244K)

1. There's no goddamn reason to mount it in the upper receiver back there. Mount it on the rails, like normal people
2. That red dot is airshit quality cancer.
3. Post more of your cat, since your AR is probably much more retarded

Attached: 1517885394386.png (300x291, 117K)

As someone who’s had issues with holosun, DONT DO THIS if your gun is anything but a range toy

Attached: 2C314C62-E895-4576-A1A5-AC96D69990C0.jpg (1536x2048, 820K)

Like the other user said, the rail is an objectively better place to mount your pressure switch. But whatever, shooter preference. Yes, superglue is acceptable. It's an ar15, you can beat it to shit

post a pic of where your rail meets the upper pls

weird gat but ok

>just as good

Me too.... at what point do I forget about waiting for it?

Not him but that's hardly the point. All else equal, everyone shoots better with a rifle that recoils less.
18" barrel gives you several small improvements that make it a superior choice for the SPR role.

>but that's hardly the point
Then why bother replying when the post you are replying to makes the assumption that a 18" barrel would have less felt recoil?

Such is life in Syrupstan

My point is that suggests that mid-length gas recoil is mild (true) and therefore there's no advantage to going to rifle gas.

It's not because user can't handle mid gas, but because less recoil always equals faster, more precise shooting all else equal.

I like your builds senpai. How do you like the bcm stock? I’m thinking of getting one

Uuugh. Thousands invested into this hobby and I still don’t know what makes me happy. Now I’m stuck between going full longboi 20” or as light and handy a 14.5” as possible.

Do both obviously. Why stop at 14.5" tho?

Attached: 1541464700351.jpg (2048x1054, 460K)

Are most AR barrels threaded?
I might be entering the bullyzone soon with the Windham A2/A4 (not sure which one it is) copy and I thought I'd put a three prong thingy on it because I think they're pretty cool.

Attached: IMG_20181108_132034282~01.jpg (1080x1920, 407K)

I feel ya man, actual good quality barrels in carbine/14.5 don't come with A2 FSB anymore. Gonna have to put that stuff on my own

I got a brand new in box 2MOA aimpoint H1 with the LRP QD mount for $465. It shows up tomorroe. How did I do?

I said f a m not senpai wtf that’s fucking gay.

When did this happen? What else gets changed on this site?

The windham ones should be, but i think they actually sell both threaded and unthreaded barrels so just check the descriltion. I had that same barrel, the 20" govt profile. It was a nice barrel. Their $270 barrel assembly kit is a good deal too. It includes the barrel, gas tube, hand guards, delta ring and flash hider

what does komandos think about 416/417?

Attached: 417.png (740x246, 154K)

Sweet, thanks familia

I wanna build a CQB pistol how short is too short. I've read that 10.5" is the shortest you should go before things get silly.

What do you have? I love my light 14.5

>H1
Idiot
They are fine
MR556/762 are not
MR223/308 are fine

whats wrong with mr556/762?

Unlined barrels
Unvented gas blocks
Extreme pricepoint
No A5 features
No OTB features

MR223/308 has lined barrels, some otb features and some a5 features in the latest variants. But the MR556 and MR762 are straight out of 2005 with no changes really made since then. MR762 is accurate but is outclassed by other gas guns in the pricepoint.

1/10

Is that a prostate massager?

I recently bought a lower from Aero Precision. As I understand it, the next steps are trigger, grips, buttstock and springs/pins.

At what point do I need to worry about compatibility for a barrel and upper? I see some nice barrel deals on Classic Firearms but I have not bought the above mentioned shit so I dont know if that will bite me in the ass.

Has anyone created any pastebins or buying guides for these threads? If not, any Jow Forums approved Youtubers or "how its done" sources?

>At what point do I need to worry about compatibility for a barrel and upper?
You shouldnt unless youre buying anderson tier parts or very high end parts.
>I see some nice barrel deals on Classic Firearms but I have not bought the above mentioned shit so I dont know if that will bite me in the ass.
They are trash
>Has anyone created any pastebins or buying guides for these threads? If not, any Jow Forums approved Youtubers or "how its done" sources?
Post budget and what you want

Already dropped $131 on the lower at a local store

Total budget of $1,200, preferably less without making some ultra poorfag edition rifle. This'll be mainly for target practice and home defense.

I am still doing more research but so far:
>18" barrel chambered in 5.56 (seems the most practical)
>Adjustable buttstock (but not folding)
>Medium-Light trigger (don't like a heavy pull)
>Springs and pins pack (anything worth knowing about this? Brands, quality, etc?)
>Pistol grip
>A-2 birdcage or something similar
>Front sight: Fiber Optic (similar to MVP Scout)
>Rear sight: Ghost ring or recommendations?

Ideally, any moving parts and the barrel are all metal. Don't know enough about uppers/gastubes/handguards or what more/less money gets you. So far I have heard good things about Aero Precision, Daniel Defense and a few other names.

>seems the most practical
>home defense
No
>fiber optic and ghost ring sights on a rifle
Nah
>springs and pins
as long as it isnt china tier anderson trash any will be fine

Are you open to building an upper or do you only want a complete upper?

So it’s not a socom profile barrel under there? I’ve always wondered how light a pencil 14.5 could be. Never had a chance to handle one. I have a pretty basic 16” build. If I did go 14.5 though I’d consider a slick side upper and pencil barrel too.

I would not be opposed to building an upper if that's what you mean. It would probably allow for better quality control. Just comes down to costs.

I know this is Jow Forums, and my opinions are shit, etc. But care to explain why the sites and thoughts of practically are wrong?

How accurate in moa would an ar have to be to snipe a sightmark red dot from 200 meters?

18" is musket tier that is suitable for spr or target shooting but makes a mightly long rifle for house sized stuff. 16" is going to be a good compromise between practical shooting and home defense lengths.

Fiber optic sights are dogshit on anything serious. There is a 100% chance the fiber insert will fall out while shooting. There is a 110% chance it will fall out and vanish into the dirt. There is a 120% chance it will fall off when you try to use your musket for home defense.

Heres a build for you assuming youre fine assembling your own upper
>Aero lower
>Whatever pistol grip fits your hand
>B5 Sopmod enhanced stock, ctr, m4 waffle or
>16" faxon gunner profile barrel
>13" BCM MCMR rail
>a2 flash hider
>mbus pro sights
>aimpoint pro if you want a dot, cheaper lpvo if you want a scope
>Toolcraft bcg
>BCM or Radian charging handle
>Some sort of surefire weapon light
That should put you at or around your budget
