I'm putting together a go bag. What are the 3 most important things I should make sure to have in a SHTF scenario?

Bug out bags are largely just memes for hypotheticals that’ll probably never happen like nukes, ww3, solar storm, ect. My go bag consists of the following :
1. Compact sleeping bag, and air pad
2. Two emergency space blankets
3. Compact Tarp Shelter
4. Small mess kit and utensils
5. Chromebook laptop, iPhone charger, and a miniature portable solar power bank
6. 500$
7. One weeks worth of clothes in a small roll
8. Hygien kit
9. Paracord, a fero-rod, lighter, and duct tape
10. Life straw
Believe it or not I have all of these things inside one canvas messenger bag I can throw over my shoulder anytime, and successfully rough it anywhere. Whether I’m on the run and need to lay low in a wooded environment, or I lose my apartment and have to sleep at the park I know I’ll be fine. Keep it minimalistic, user. As for a gun, I just appendix carry a 45 caliber revolver.
Thanks man, stuff like the solar bank and the utensils I completely overlooked. Definitely gonna be getting a Life Straw or a similar filter. Also,is that bag of yours waterproof? Wouldn't want the clothes or the revolver to get wet.
Canvas is naturally water resistant, and you can buy cans of spray on coating that’s non toxic. Just google “Israeli paratrooper bag”.

You're gonna regret that.
SHTF=Cash being worthless as the Government that says that "money" has value is now gone!
No gun?
What solar power bank do you use?
How in the red fuck do you plan on carrying that with you in case you have to run or climb somewhere? Were you already trained to work with heavy equipment?
>Gun, 22lr, 5.56, or 308
>knife, preferably a kukri
>fire starting kit, which you can use to boil water.
If you wanted to you could swap the gun out for water or a water filter, but the knife and fire kit are absolutely necessary.
This.
Within my own lifetime, I've watched the currencies of several countries turn into worthless toilet paper.
Now, someone's going to pipe up about gold or silver or diamonds or bottle caps. Well, sunshine, those things only have value if both you and I agree they do. I can't eat gold nor will it keep me warm at night and it might be long fucking time carrying that shit around until I can trade it off for something useful to me.
A gun
A bivvy roll
A roll of toilet paper
You can survive anything as long as you can shoot back, have a good night's rest, and wipe your ass.

Not him but that stuff is all small and light - even in the aggregate.
Might want to toss a small first aid kit in there. Assortment of bandaids, some gauze pads, tape, tube of Neosporin, tweezers, small mirror, alcohol prep pads, some Benadryl, and some pseudoephedrine HCL. Make sure it’s the HCL formulation, not the sulfate.
Basically a patch kit for the nicks and dings you’d be likely to collect sleeping in the park. And think about throwing in a fistful of hard candy, 2 Clif bars, and a bottle of water. That gives you a starter pack of calories and hydration. Refill the bottle from groundwater or whatever and stick the lifestraw in it.
They still sell those? The vast majority are Chinkmade, but they work well enough. The one I bought in 1987 was identical to the one I bought a decade earlier. Paid $3 for the first one, $5 for the second. I bet they can still be found for under $12.
Damn. Really takes me back.
sturdy fixed blade knife, 3-5" blade.
Simple first aid kit- yknow, a couple ace bandages, gauze, band aids, etc.
flashlight. Trust me, you'll want a flashlight.
Water should also be included but that can't necessarily be kept permanently.
Shtf affects your ability to access 6 things. You prioritize which 3 you’re willing to live without.
Food
Water
Shelter
Security
Medical care
Communications
1. Gun. .45 acp if going into bear country.
2. Knife. Good fixed blade.
3. Roll of thick painters plastic. Cut up for: Shelter (roof, walls, doors, windows), bedding when used with leaves; fold it over and melt ends together with fire or use a a long stick to roll it closed and stuff with brush for use as a mattress, pillow or chair cushion.
>After the 3
food, water or life straw, med kit & socks
>laptop
Your phone is already a laptop. Replace that space with a USB adaptor wire for your phone. It will let you use any USB sticks loaded with porn that you find.
No way is 45acp going to stop a bear. The round is too slow to penetrate a bear skull. Use a 10mm.
I rode a bicycle from Kansas City to St Louis and found that a pack of baby wipes is incredibly useful on a trek. For everything from impromptu bathing in the woods, blowing my nose, and wiping utensils clean. Also for wiping my ass and balls.
Always have them handy on you lads
This is a lot of fucking shilling holy shit.
