I have 2 ARs and have literally never had a malfunction that wasn't operator error (myself or someone I let shoot the guns).

Are mini14 better? Never had an issue with any ar but always hear stories like this and saw some videos where it happened.

Well it was most likely done by a guy who didn’t actually know guns are had guns before hand and had probably bought the gun specifically for the crime.
Because the people shooting them know dick about guns. Short of something breaking you should be able to clear any sort of malfunction in a matter of seconds and be right back to shooting.
