when i said i sprayed it i sprayed it in its entirety leaving electric tape capping the barrel and essentially sealing it completely while it was loaded. when i finally fired it the foreend took a bit of muscle to rack back but otherwise worked fine after the first shell.
it was essentially water proof though

Depends where you live. Ammo is relatively "cheap" and "easy to find" in the states, but the guns are much rarer there. In leafland, the guns are less rare, but you pretty much have to make all your ammo yourself. As in turn bullets, hoard brass for $20+ each, turn press-fit bushings in the brass to fit 50 BMG primers, and butter up a crusty old fucking fudd asshole FOR A YEAR STRAIGHT for hints at "safe" powder loads. No real data, just hints.
