Uniform wise the old Green Class A has been around since the 1960's, it wasn't until the late 2000's or early 2010s was when they went to the shitty ASU... which was a major step down from the Class A

With the ASU they tried to go for the muh Union civil war uniform w/ the shoulder boards, but it just doesn't work and looks awful.

There was a dress blue that was in service in the 60's too, but these were not as common as the Class A for some reason

Army tried to do what the Marines did by using the best-looking uniform in their history, but fucked up by not having a century to slowly modify, modernize, and streamline it so it didn't look like a cheesy costume inappropriate for a modern army.

Beret's were removed - only SF (Green), Tankers (Black), Airborne (Maroon) and Rangers (Tan) will wear them - thank fucking god.
I will say peak aesthetic was Green Class A's with Berets instead of cunt caps, but berets, just like polished black boots, are time consuming and annoying and hard caps are better looking than Berets anyway .
