I got the same feeling of dread after watching the Miracle Mile (1988). I know if something went down I'd try to save the people I love, but the more I try to do that the more I put myself at risk. So I went to bed and it was windy and I thought a ponderosa pine might come down on the house, the utility company sent out a notice might cut the power due to high winds a couple days before. They didnt and the wind gusts took down a line in a remote canyon and sparked an initial 200 acre fire.
Calfire said the incident started at 6:30AM. By the time I woke up at 8:30 I thought it was a thunderstorm because the sun was blocked out. Turns out it was a plume about the size of the mt st helens eruption and I knew that shit was not gonna go out due to lack of rain and was going to take everything with the severe wind. (Its usually foggy, wet, and rainy by this time in Nov.)

Took 20 minutes to pack random stuff that I thought was my most valuable stuff, not thinking with absolute certainty I wouldnt be coming back. Got the two dogs while my roommate doddled around stuffing a suitcase with game consoles & anime. Retard ran out of gas & got stuck.
Took me 4 1/2 hours to evacuate with my tires rubbing my fender well going foot by foot through the mountains.. Idiots losing their shit and fist fighting over gas pumps.

Paradise PD detective who lives on the street behind me went back and tried to get his funs and told us this morning that our whole street was torched

My tools are basically cheap shit for intermediate auto repair. So nothing too irreplacable but all my gunsmithing shit and firearm accessories are gone. Plus all sorts of useful odds & ends that take years to accumulate and other stuff I cant remember but will be pissed when I do.
More upset that I'm unemployed from the job I got just this week and this whole community is FUBAR.
