Remember this is what they took from you
Cancelled guns thread
And that's a good thing
Pick up that can.
Never got the appeal. It looks like every other super-wonky "muh space gat" design.
>muh space gat
What's the difference with an MP7?
this. dont know the history here
difference suggests something to compare it to.
without something to compare it to, it's essentially a fancy and noticeably functional mac 10 with vastly improved ergonomics and accuracy.
Unfortunately the role it was advertised for was also performed by the p-90. And the p-90 was easier to acquire and had a support structure that wasn't going to kill any chance of even seeing the damn thing in real life. As such the P-90 won and was handed off to rear line non-combat essential personnel while the mp7 achieved at most a niche role in the air force bug out kit.
Yeah, there is something to compare it to. The mp7. That is not an mp7. That is a HK PDW prototype.
Dork.
let me make your retarded keyboard fumbling into a real argument
quick addendum,
the mp7 was within a few years replaced with the mp9 which legitimately was a functioning mac 10 with more polymer in it's design. since the mp9 also took standard ammunition calibers rather then Unnobtainium rounds it quickly replaced the mp7 in anything and everything the mp7 ever tried to do.
german plastic mac11, but with shittier round.
uhhhh less rail space
I thought forever the HL2 smg was just a fucked up looking MP7 with a smol 15mm grenade launcher thing or some shit.. I now realize it's just this thing with a smol grenade launcher.. THE MORE YOU KNOW.
Also fuck you OP you could at least make the fucking filename the model of the gun so I can google it. Is it just an MP7 competitor ?
nothing really, just minor changes and additions like you'd expect for any prototype. OP is a faggot probably whining about the 'aesthetic' changing.
I just want my Monolith P-12
thefirearmblog.com
pretty sure it's a quick speedy boi bullet that goes through soft armor like a hot dick through cunny
Sooo, how come the mp7 seems to much more prevalent now than the P90. It's used in police department, special forces, in, what seems to me, much greater numbers.
Does the MP7 failed only to succeed later (in terms of sales I mean).
>cancelled
It just looks like an MP7 to me, those are in fairly common use with militaries and police.
That's just an MP7 prototype.
Society realized that bullpups were a meme, that's what happened.
Easier to maintain and cheaper to produce I assume
because of h&k and germany's influence in nato
H&K CAWS. If rimless full-brass 12 gauge had been adopted by the US military it would have exploded onto the civilian markets shortly thereafter. All the issues with magazine fed shotguns wouldn't exist today.
Isn't that thing in Fallout 2? That's the only reason I know about it.
Yep, this and the Pancor Jackhammer. This game is probably the biggest reason why people know about this two guns.
Shame that they eclipsed the Winchester City-Killer.
Is the Six12 vaporware?
I thought that was a neat looking gun
kek
>DEVGRU
>Random cali safety department
literally just a prototype MP7 before DoD changed its mind halfway through the procurement process (who knew?) and asked HK to add useless unaesthetic shit to it.
I always thought this was pretty badass despite it not really having much use when you could just cc a pistol anyway.
Honestly, who are you going to fool lugging that around?
no one but it's kinda funky looking, kinda like an updated HK briefcase MP5
Germans and Belgians need to stop building their new guns around proprietary fucking cartridges. Just use 9mm and 5.56 you faggots.
literally any noguns?
Most normalfags wouldn't even pay attention to it. I bet if you held it over your shoulder they'd dismiss it as a camcorder.
i wonder if you could put it in some kinda leather case, actually. something to make it look like a notebook.
You'd trick boomers, maybe
just put stickers or paint or anything. as long as its not black
HUEG
I got to admit this is so much cooler than the fish gun. It's a bull pup and a conventional gun, normally I'd bitch about a gun getting bigger or weighting more, but this is so much better looking than a grenade launcher attachment, probably faster on fire rate, and some crazy computerized controls to help firing measurements.
There has to be some kind of horrendous flaw happening for this to not be a thing yet.
Fug that's cool. Cyberpunk as hell.
That weapon will jam on the first burst, look at the belt
Need mo money fo dem f35s
>tfw no 2mm EC rounds
I much prefer the aesthetics of the Jackhammer to the CAWS.
Calico will be releasing a helical drum fed semi-auto 12 gauge in the coming months, if that interests you.
They informed me it will fit 15 3" shells or 25 2-3/4"
>Cost
>18 pound weight
>20mm HE rounds
>Good luck doing CQB with it
You carry it in your brief case, and the advantage to a pistol is that it's controllable full auto with a stock.
>I bet if you held it over your shoulder they'd dismiss it as a camcorder.
this isn't 1993, my guy.
Tell that to the Chinese and their mountains of shitty boxy garbage sold over the internet for $20.
This explains a lot about the HL2 smg for me. Because it always looked KIND OF like an MP7, but not quite, and I always wondered why.
not the guy you replied to, but if that's true, my iron just became the big iron
I remember OP.
How many threads are you going to repeat this bullshit in and hide behind "SEEMS".
It does not seem like the mp7 is more prevalent than the P90 because the P90 IS more prevalent and LOOKS more prevalent if you do any basic research. I'm not linking you to the God Damn Wikipedia page again.
But this is what it could have been
Too beautiful for this ugly world.
The prototype P90 was 9mm but the taper was an issue. But .40/10mm could work but it would still need a coating due to how it feeds
>GSG
nothing of value was lost
I remeber some people put crosses on them and people thought they were Bibles kek
Cyberpunk af
>He doesn't want to shoot a bad guy with 20mm HE in CQB.
>Bust into some shack in shitholistan.
>Mohammed Alah Dirka Jihad leaps out from a hallway brandishing his shit encrusted AK.
>Give him the 20mm right in the chest at point blank range.
>"eeeeeeeeeeeeee"
>You're laying on the floor.
>Mo is laying in about twenty different pieces.
Wait, that's NOT an mp7??
Where is the grenade launcher
>look at the belt
What am I not seeing?
Well, it wouldn't even get a single round off.
The primers have been used and the bullets are jammed in the case all crooked and shit.
this would be cool to hide in a big hollowed out bible
Ah. I took it too literally, and looked at the belt only
Add some shitty LEDs and some fake speaker grills and you could probably trick people to think it's a cheap chinese bluetooth speaker.
A shame. We need to start making bootleg mp7s on 25acp for the keks
It also has some Cyrillic on the metal right before the stock. So some fuckery is going on with this pic.
i like this idea
It's not an MG-42. But a Yugo M53.
I'm hoping the coming era of caseless ammo will reignite interest in micro-rifle PDW bullets when they can fit in a pistol grip comfortably. PDWs and their fancy ammo are pointless unless they can be used to replace .30+ caliber pistols as well. Otherwise they can, and do, make intermediate cartridges that can function out of an SBR.
It is, it's just a prototype/early version.
>nade shell
>explode in point-blank
t.no-gunz fag
so?
Sorry user but never ever :(
Isnt that just an mp7 without a flash hider?
muh ballistic coefficients...
muh yaw...
pls
This
+ this
Imagine if it was bullpup'd and in 6.5x38mm Grendel
FUCK YOU IAN YOU JUST HAD TO GO AND TOUCH MY FAVORITE PROTOTYPE.
Image isnt loading. Its the Pancor Jackhammer
belt-fed bar
>coming era of caseless ammo
Never gonna happen.
>micro-rifle PDW bullets when they can fit in a pistol grip comfortably
10mm or .45 win mag necked down can already double 5.7x28 energy from a 16-18" barrel. But sure let's funnel billions of taxpayer dollars into another MIC scheme that won't work.
Mpx in 40 and 357 sig
Factory rep told me demand was not economical
It is literally happening as we speak and your anecdote has nothing to do with anything I said or PDWs in general.
Yes, I would love full power cartridges setting off under my face at the cyclic rate and with the belt at such an odd angle it becomes cumbersome to feed and shoot at the same time
We got that though it's called the M240B
Literally BAR action flipped upside down and adapted for belt feed.
Speaking of cancelled HK weapons, how do you guys feel about the G11?
>size of a P90, power of a M16
Reminds me of the Super Dragon from Perfect Dark.
C'mon man. I can tell you're noguns but even Call of Duty got this right.
I always loved the look of this thing.
Some nights I dream about cheese
THE HACKS!
I wanted one too.
Now I have to settle for the vaporware brokeback mountain copy that jams a lot and kicks like a nigger due to low bolt carrier mass.
Insane recoil, but that's understandable because I think it fires a 3 round burst. It's a funky design but I'm not a fan besides the memes, I don't trust caseless ammo.
