Just kinda throwing the question out there to see if anyone is willing to give their two cents; I'm looking at a cheap optic to get my AR in a condition for some 2-gun and deciding between Vortex's crossfire and their strike eagle.

Any experience with either of these? Are they shit? Reviews for it seem overwhelmingly positive, but I don't know what other options I should even be considering.

they're not terrible, but on the early viper ps2 gen 2's recoil would actually break the red dot functionality. It's like chinese quality shit but assembled in the US so it's mid range, entry grade. Don't expect to see any American operators using it but tons of people do for competitions and stuff.
Long story short you can get better quality stuff used for around the same price.

I have an ATN 3-14x 4k pro and I'd like to set it up for use on hogs or just for passive NV use. What upper should I use for this? My idea is to put the ATN sight, 45 degree irons (which I hate but I don't see another option), a surefire M952 with KM3 head that I already have that does IR and white light, and a grip pod (which I already have) on it for stability.
Currently looking for: 1/8 twist, 18 inch barrel with rifle length gas system, free floated MLOK tube. Please give advice on the concept and advice on uppers to choose for 18 inch.I will have a suppressor for it soon. Right now I'm looking at the BCM mk12 upper with the KAC rail.

If you're on a budget, the best upgrade for your gun is the trigger. Get milspec everything else and replace them over time. Forget a Geissle charging handle, go for one of their triggers.
