In North Korea they throw babbies in wells and feed them to fatten them up in case of famine. Obviously our hero has just rescued a Nork babby right before he was to get turned into babby stir fry.

Kelly's heroes is excellent. One of my all time favorites.

The Mummy with Brendan Fraiser. Basically non stop shooting with WW1 milsurp from beginning to end

Three first die hard movies.

What is this? A nazi version of saving faggot rian?

My Way is a good movie if you like untold history.

that move was just a bunch propaganda bullshit

Britbong here, my favourite Jow Forums movies would be 6 Days, Platoon, The Punisher (modern series), Saving Private Ryan, Siege Of Jadotville, Beasts Of No Nation, and Lord Of War, those are a few that I can name of off the top of my head.

The Wind and The Lion, just for this one piece.

>Schultzstaffel No.1488
Kannst du überhaupt DEUTSCH?

Siege of jadotville was pretty good

If you like (very badly depicted) untold history.

Oh god, yes. I rewatched it a few years ago and I was drooling the whole time.

Patrician fucking taste. God damnit, you beautiful bastard.

That has got to be one of the best scenes from a film I have ever seen.

Pic related is a gem. A Jow Forums must see.
I've been seeding it for yes for you guys, if you don't know it, you're a newfag.

Where Eagles Dare

One of the first movies to use blood squibs, back when it first came out is was considered so violent it was nearly unwatchable. John Wayne himself said the movie killed the idea of the "noble western."

Whatever, it's an Anime, of course it's going to be unrealistic is some areas.

Is this Breaking the Habit?

Savior...very fucking based!

Pic related. All the vehicles are real (the German tanks are leopards with bodykits though) the effects are real, the paratroopers are mostly real, the soundtrack is awe inspiring. Truly a spectacular film

Attached: 61TtvZv4bML.jpg (322x500, 80K)

Other than like two scenes the movie is just pretentious and boring drivel. If you've ever seen the webms of the riots and shooting scenes in the sewers, congrats, that's all you need to see.

>pretentious
I see you're one of the [a/ denizens who doesn't know what pretentious means.

Attached: Monster.jpg (640x480, 41K)

such poor taste, I expected more m8

No I don't go to /a/, it's an infestation of retards obsessed with moeblob waifubait trash. Jin-Roh is is also trash. Anime in general is trash and one of mankinds greatest mistakes. Avoid anime in general if you want good Jow Forums related stuff.

Apocalypse Now

Siege of Jadotville was decent. Beasts of No Nation honestly was pretty god damn awesome. I was surpised something that good came from Netflix.

>the newer seasons are shit
WHY

But you don't deny not knowing the meaning of "pretentious". Okay.

Attached: Nobunaga Drifters black powder.png (640x359, 168K)

To Hell and Back was pretty good.

Knowing the definitions of words is a good thing, user.

>can't even defend his shitty movie
>HAH YOU DIDN'T TELL ME WHAT PRETENTIOUS MEANT GOTTEM
Classic pseud mindset.

I only watched this show for that cute little archer fuccboi Yoichi

You couldn’t be more wrong.

Those aren't the only war movies I've watched, they're just some that I can name off the top of my head.

Sounds true

Can someone recommend me some good South Korean action films? I don't really care whether or not fight scenes are grounded in reality, I just want dakka on screen. If it means anything, I recently saw no tears for the dead and it was pretty entertaining

The Raid (3 movies) are all pretty good movies desu. Kind of gritty action, realistic fight scenes overall with the protagonists relying on guns and not constantly doing stupid shit with their hands. If you're into Asian backdrops, it's definitely a win win.

Great Movie

Love this movie

THE

Kundo: Age of the Rampant

Unironically this

The Way of the Gun is a great movie and hugely underrated. Fitting end too. Definitely recommend.

Monster. Truly patrician taste. Absolutely based. That 70 episode build up with the m1 carbine shootout was absolutely kino. You are the only person ive met whos ever heard of it.

It's post like this that remind me that I'm an old fart by Internet standards.
You should read Pluto if you haven't already.

Underrated.
Shows how many newfags & normies invaded Jow Forums
Sigh...

Thank you.

The Danish Girl

This desu. I get why it is the way that it is, since Japs aren't as likely to be familiar with the red riding hood fable so the film feels obliged to explain the story in drawn out exposition, but its all in service of an allegory that isn't particularly thoughtful and doesn't add much. The film would be better as a dry political thriller, and to do away with the red riding hood motif altogether, because to have characters constantly referencing an old German fairy tale when discussing terrorist plots and infighting between federal agencies is fucking silly.

Watch Patlabor instead

The John Wick movies.

The Big Lebowski. Always brings me back to nam

Excellent taste, user.

count one other! I am waiting a few more years to forget most of the plot so I can rewatch it all again.

Too bad about the sequels, but yeah. The first one is pretty fucking good - if only to appreciate the hard training that Reeves did for the role. Great guy.

This, although there's no Raid 3

You’re retarded.

Jesus, how much of a running start did that guy have to be falling something like 200m away from the base of that skyscraper?

You’re a retard.

12 year old tastes. Grow up, tard.

the fairy tale analogy flew over people's heads despite it being 'pretentious' in your words. it's not a metaphor. Instead look at it as a narrative that fails as a metaphor. In fact that's the point. The wolf in red riding hood never cared or had feelings. In fact the whole narrative itself is more about political infighting. The fairy tail is a summary of how these fairy tails never happen, and how they aren't even possible. And, yet time after time people try to force the metaphor.

Also it's not pretentious in it's delivery.

great taste, love me some Jow Forumsommando supercops

Patrician

And I must add, the movie states over and over that the hunter only kills the wolf in fairy tales.

Fuckin-A!

Yeah. That part matters, but I think the final shot of fairy tale in the dirty water as if it's nothing but trash is obvious. She was arguably more of a wolf than him despite the visual. The implication that a guy fighting terrorism and corruption is the 'wolf' in the wolf pack. Who devours little red. Little red instead is used to bait the wolf and instead the wolf devours her instead. In fact the whole thing is simple if you don't think about it.
But in reality. It's a forced narrative. Both the characters are forcing the narrative. Fuze with his wolf pack autism. (probably tied to german sub antics) and her as some strange redemptive thing. Red riding hood was an innocent girl and if you read the original it has a lot of similarities to rape.
So does the dream where the wolves devour her.

So I honestly don't know where that leaves you as the viewer.

Also the guy who brings a part of the armour later on also shows up when Fuze goes to the shrine, meaning they were already operating. Then there is the question whether his attachment was a lie that became the truth and to what degree. He did give her the option to leave. So I logically ask why she stayed. She seemed aware of how the metaphor worked to a heavy extent. Meaning she might have thought of her being killed as redemptive in a way.

It's a good case study on morality. Reminds me of the anectode, where three men are brought into a room to shoot their wife.

Jow Forums knows their movies that's for damn sure. A lot of great films mentioned here.
Here are a few more all with a similar feel. Baytown Outlaws, snatch, love and a 45, Smokin Aces, Lock Stock Two Smoking Barrels, hell ride.
