Why is 6.5 creedmore so explosively popular? Is long range shooting that thirsty for a short action flat shooting round? I see these things fucking everywhere.
Why is 6.5 creedmore so explosively popular? Is long range shooting that thirsty for a short action flat shooting round...
It's in vogue.
Because:
American Made>Everything Else
Fudds eat the shit out of that. The 6.5 Grendel is better though because you don't need a .308 lower for that.
Because it takes the same bolt and magazine as .308
civilian market follows either military memes or competition memes
also
It carries more kenetic energy then the 308 after..500 yards? And has way better ballistics
So does 260 rem and 257 Roberts. Meme rounds die meme deaths.
WHY THE FUCK ARE THERE 338 LAPUA RIFLES IN EVERY GUN STORE. WHY DO YOU WANT A 40 POUND RIFLE. YOU DON'T SHOOT AT ANYTHING OTHER THAN TIN ELMER THE FUCK YOU GONNA TO WITH A BANANA TARGET MEME SNIPER ROUND
Those are not as popular as the 6.5 creed. Lots of major manufacturers are making great ammo.
Rifles in 6.5 creedmoor chambered rifles already sell more than 30-06 chambered rifles already. Only olf fat white men bother with .260 and .257
Because fuck you, faggot. This is America, and if you want to shoot the big dicked .338 Lapua, you can.
It is a massive injustice that those two cartridges are being looked over in favor of 6.5 mememore.
6.5 ballistics are pretty forgiving. It has .308 lineage and thus can easily be chambered in .308 guns and use .308 mags. Also great marketing.
those rounds don't fit in an AR 10 magwell and they don't have high cap mags. The AR crowd is to blame.
>Meme rounds die meme deaths
Which is why 6.5 Creedmoor lives.
All they had to do was make long bullets for the 243 Winchester
It's like identical to 260 Winchester. It's predominantly being sold in bolt gun format so muh ar compatibility doesn't even matter.
Where's .30-06 Springfield?
>too much gun for white tail
>not really flat shooting
>not as good as 270 for elk and the like
>308 does 90% of it's job in a medium action
Why is 3006 popular to begin with?
>too much for whitetail
A yearling maybe.
Also it has over 100 years of production with many rifles pumped out chambered in it.
Are we talking about off the shelf stuff or hand loads?
>Why is 6.5 creedmore so explosively popular?
Fuddlore.
Precision shooting fags are on that "fountain of youth" quest for the biggest, fastest, flattest shooting, non-deviating round possible.
The minute a laser or railgun becomes portable they'll be all over that shit.
