So Jow Forums, say I wanted to larp as a cryptid hunter, and I wanted a sidearm for such work that could kill or injure most supernatural but physical entities. What handgun would y'all suggest? It would most likely have to be a revolver (as I would like to run weird loads out of it that may not cycle reliably in an automatic), and must be able to have religious iconography on it (so plastic frames are *generally* out). Aesthetics are also a big factor, and I am wondering what a cryptid hunter would carry in terms of pragmatism but also be able to look cool doing so. I would also like to have white ash grips made for the gun.
Currently I am thinking of also suppressing a single action revolver via various methods of shrinking or closing the cylinder gap mechanically or temporarily through rubber washers or tape. This would also mean that the gun should be able to fire subsonic rounds reliably.
So far, I have two ideas >Taylors and Co. SAA with custom grips in .45lc >Ruger Bisley Blackhawk in .44
I find the standard Taylors and Co. to be much more aesthetic, as well as custom grips being easier to find. In addition, parts like an oversized pawl and cylinder bolt are easier to come by as well for Uberti SAA's than for the Blackhawk in my searches. However, the SAA is much more fragile and in a much weaker cartridge, and may not stand up to the weird things I would like to do to it.
Other ideas are a bonus as well, and any recommendations would be appreciated.
I should also mention that the rounds must be of a decent bore size, as I would like to utilize the cavity in homemade hollowpoints to hold various anti-spook measures.

Frankly, i wouldn't worry about it

Ruger Old Model Vaquero. Looks like an SAA, does what a Blackhawk can do.

Excellent recommendation. I had given up on finding one years ago, but it appears people are selling some on gunbroker.

Go bigger. You can still use .45 and you wont have to worry as much about being under powered.
This thread is insane. Why even prepare for things that everyone knows doesn't exist? You should be ashamed of yourself op, for thinking of playing this stupid game. Also, nothing you, as a mortal stupid bipedal human, could ever dream up would ever be able to stop a more superior being. Please close this thread so as not to concern or worry others.

With holy water, ash, and salt. The only good answer.

Why not take the picture with aces and eights? I'm a little disappointed. Also, what do you think about a piston operated AR pistol? You can find an ass load of aftermarket parts for aesthetic purposes and with an adjustable gas block you shouldn't really have cycling issues with various loads, assuming you reload. It's not what you want, but it would be more practical and more effective against skinwalkers than a revolver.
Unironically a judge to use the shot shells to shoot dumb shit, or a 500 X-frame with custom rolled shot shells

This is correct hilariously. Also a 10mm glock for easy assembly and disassembly.

OP (and others I guess) post your loadout

You’ll want a chrome or nickel plated double action .45 long colt revolver. It will have to have ancient runes or religious iconography inscribed on the handle and be blessed by a priest. Make sure that the bullets are made of silver and be hand loaded while spoopy Eastern Orthodox monks in cloaks chant spoopy incantations. This should also be done under a full moon to make it extra effective.

The dream loadout is as follows to what I could realistically make >large bore suppressed revolver >loaded with hollowed out bullets with 12ga silver wire in welded into the cavity >electroplated silver knife >wolfsbane >Scattergat with various homemade shells such as silver, goofa dust, gold, various incendiary rounds, etc >everything having at least one Orthodox Crucifix on it >blessed by a priest >possibly make some neat bolts for my crossbow or something
Also considering going to this Native American witchcraft store that my old spooky goth girlfriend told me about, as she would help me obtain herbs and such.
Well if I were to mechanically shrink the cylinder gap, I would obviously still allow for some room for the cylinder to rotate. It would just be slightly more difficult to bring the gap down to say .002. However, with a very thin rubber washer or electrical tape, I could probably take advantage of the endshake and manually cycle my gun (hence why I am looking into single actions), but fit my pawl so that upon reaching full cock the rubber is just about mated with the forcing cone.
Another bonus for the single action is incredibly quick disassembly.

I meant to say the wire is JB welded in place.

All you need are those grips and a Russel Crowe accent

Why can’t there be a 9 shot 9mm revolver with an integrally suppressed barrel?

Because S&W is for boomers and Bill Ruger was the big gay. I still hold out hope that the Germans might come up with something we could get imported in 10 years.
However, the fact that nobody is even trying to make a revolver that *could* be suppressed gets me really steamed.

>shrink the cylinder gap They tried this in veet nam, it tended to brick the guns. That was how they came around to this idea.
I'm aware of both of these things, it's where I got the idea. I would essentially have to hand fit everything, as well as make sure the front of the cylinder is near totally flat. Of course, this would still require some clearance, but a very small cylinder gap coupled with a suppressor does reduce noise quite a bit. There is a YouTube video somewhere of a guy suppressing his BFR, which has a very small cylinder gap.
Other than custom fitting the gun, the only other solution I have is to use rubber. I dont really have the space or ability to place a camming arm ala the nagant into most revolvers that I can think of either, let alone designing something like a captive piston or a Bramit device.

She was an ultra-pale tiny goth girl who I started seeing after I got of a long term relationship that ended badly. She was very sweet to me and witchy and we enjoyed the same music, pop culture, and obsession with the occult. She was a Christian as well (I know, I had plans to make her quit her witchy ways), which is important to me. However, she could be a bit slow at times, to whereas my ex is a psychiatrist measured genius. One day my ex called and asked if I still wanted to get back together with her, and I said yes, though she was pissed when she found out I had been sleeping with other people.
Long story short I broke the goth qt's heart and feel like shit for it. I think she had started to love me. I would post her picture but she is very easy to find on Instagram and such and I don't want to do her.

They want to be a cryptid hunter, not a yankee that was so desperate to gamble that he sat with his back to the door.

That makes perfect sense. The US has been slaves to Israel long before our flag got 50 stars. But also the Israel thing with Desert Eagles was not permanent, I think they are US made now.
