I only carry guns that are the same size as my dick.

That .22 must be a real tack driver huh?

nice user
good old smiffs
those seem fun

I wish .41 was easier to find

Attached: IMG_8948.jpg (3264x2448, 1.87M)

I also have a Heritage Rough Rider but I barely can consider that thing a gun. It's almost just a toy.

Attached: 629.jpg (864x648, 262K)

Not the user you’re replying to but they are. I got the one with adjustable sights but it seems like my groups are just all over the place with it.

That's a beauty. Might have to look into one after I buy a .44

What do you guys think of the ruger wrangler?

Attached: E72645BC-1426-47ED-BA99-6C327AAE4D37.jpg (800x400, 135K)

They're just trying to reclaim market share.

Fuckers need to innovate some. Nobody's made top-break revolvers for coming on half a century now.

I don't like the grips or the cylinder finish. Looks like an old coleman grill

well, they did, but president saxophone fucked that up

Attached: mp412.jpg (550x758, 162K)

actually russians love innovating revolvers

Attached: 1394679404754.jpg (1085x771, 92K)

because a 7 shot 357 magnum top break is too innovative for you to afford

I wish Smith and Wesson would bring back the Model 12. If not a Classic version, then at least a stainless version.

what
is that

64 Colt police positive that was modded for bullseye shooting probably in the early 80s. Best shooting handgun ive ever owned.

What are some reputable websites that sell j frame grips? I can find a few no problem but don't know who has the best quality. I was considering getting from altamontco.com/ but would appreciate any other suggestions.

are you looking for original panel grips or something else in particular?

Sp101
>.357
>2.25"
>hammerless
To my surprise it came with the sweet looking wood grips instead of the cheap looking black slatted ones. I want to have a night sight put on the front and have some trigger work done to it some day. The trigger pull is brutal, but hey, after a session with it you appreciate even 'bad' triggers on other guns. It's also heavy as fuck, but on the bright side if I need to I can beat some one to death with it.

Notice the rusty spot in the trigger? What's up with that? My old apartment was a total dank, moldy shithole, evidently so dank and moldy it could even make stainless corrode

Attached: 20170316_194134.jpg (4032x3024, 3.85M)

yeah, stainless doesn't equal rust-proof.
it just stains less

sounds like its shitty stainless steel, also
>hammerless revolver

any sort of panel grips

Fair enough. Anything I can do to remove it? A little love with some fine grit sand paper?

I know. I bought the meme. I have no regrets but having a hammer would make shooting paper a little more pleasurable. However that DAO trigger will make a man out of you after a few hundred rounds

Attached: 271239D425174F38974A570E78798CE7.jpg (806x1127, 100K)

>A little love with some fine grit sand paper?
I'd use brass wool and mineral oil

Attached: yeah.jpg (3264x2448, 2.11M)

Okay, I never looked into it in the past because I never wanted to play amateur gunsmith when it was new, but now that I have had the gun for some years I might try to buff it out

might want to pop the hood and see if the internals are rusted too.
there's plenty of youtube vids on how to properly disassemble the things

Will do. I always figured that spot on the trigger was just some random flaw/fluke in the metal. Because as mentioned above, I thought stainless steel DID mean rust-proof. That was the only gun I kept at my apartment because of how dank and damp that place was

Attached: BIGIRON1.jpg (1000x1000, 256K)

I went through all these sites and it seems they dont make a lot if any panel grips. Thanks for the links anyway im sure to order at least on pair of full sized grips for my 36

Yessir, it's so heavy you can burn through rounds with little recoil shooting double action and stay on target. It has that sweet sweet single action trigger to really send them home

I thought about one of those, but prefer the easy feeling of a 6 shot 22. Those have a super heavy double action. Idk the 7, 8, 10 round revolvers dont feel right to me

Have chance to get S&W 64 3''
for 300 $ is it good price?
T. First gun europoor

Attached: SW_6473VYBER_38.jpg (558x399, 52K)

$300 USD is about what used, decent condition S&Ws are going for on this side of the Atlantic, so I'd say yeah, good deal.

How about 7 shots. (and 20 in the other hand)

Attached: IMG_0348.jpg (4032x3024, 2.9M)

I've been thinking about getting a 7 shot 686. How hard was it to change the sight?

Any user have advice on what to look for with Colts? I am an S&W guy, but I want a Detective Special and don't know what years/quality indicative features to look for. Is there something like P&R where if it's there then the guns probably well made?

Recently bought a Taurus 605. Had tons of fun shooting .38 specials out of it and from 25 meters it seems to hit exactly where you aim it 10 times out of 10. Then I tried some .357 magnums and man, I can't believe how much it kicks. I am used to shooting the XDs-45 with a 3.3 inch barrel and I thought that the .357 magnum in a 2 inch gun can't be that bad but it's like 3 times more recoil (or maybe the recoil is just a lot more sudden). I think I'm gonna carry it for some time just to see how I feel with a wheelyboi but I still feel like I'm going to go back to the XDs.

I have one of these. Single shot “revolver”

Attached: B182118D-8FFB-434D-9932-CF9A7553DBAF.jpg (800x600, 244K)

I’m pretty sure they’re al generally well made. Some people say quality fell off in the early 80s

My first pistol and it's an old gal

Attached: IMG_20190509_155505477-01.jpg (4160x2327, 2.85M)

Looks nice but I already have a Rough Rider.

dafuq? 4 wut purpose?
Is that made by Savage?

Hammerless is mandatory for pocket carry, but it is unnecessary for anything else

>Taurus
fuck off poorfag

What revolvers other than the negant can have a suppressor on them? What modifications would you need to do to enable a revolver to take a suppressor and without the whole cylinder gap thing? Do you just close the gap between the barrel and cylinde or what?

You need a gap between the cylinder and barrel in order for the cylinder to revolve. If you want a suppressor, get an automatic.

Decent. A solid gun that won't be missed is always good to carry. I went with an old 85 myself.

Attached: 20190503_223706.jpg (2048x1152, 977K)

The Nagants cylinder moves forward before shooting causing a seel between the barrel and the cylinder he's asking if theres any modern revolvers that do that too.

no, im asking if any revolvers can be suppressed, not about the nagant, i know the german police/GSG-9 have a suppressed revolver and so does the CIA/FBI with the KAC revolver rifle,

Yeah savage 101. It was $25 and weird so I bought it.

Good choice user

Don't they already make the Single Ten?

Attached: single ten.jpg (800x458, 42K)

here's a (You) for ya
I've been hearing very mixed opinions on Taurus. One guy told me that his Taurus broke after the first range session which wasn't even 100 shots, another guy said he bought his Taurus in 2012 and fired thousands of rounds through it and it's still his favorite gun.
Personally I wanted a S&W but there were none available at my local store and they said that it can take up to half a year to get them imported from the US.

You're a silly cunt, Taurus is a good purchase these days especially after the new direction they've taken their company in. I own a Glock 20 and a Glock 19 but I carry my stainless Taurus 605 everywhere because it's easy to carry, cheap so I don't mind scratching it, I don't mind if it gets seized as evidence, and the lifetime warranty is pretty great. Does Smith, Ruger or Colt offer a free lifetime warranty covering repairs?

Funny enough I just bought a stainless 605 and was expecting .357's to shove the gun out of my hand. I was shooting Golden Sabers (I've heard they were an underloaded round) and aside from a little snap they weren't too bad I could get saucer sized groups with 1 second follow ups at 7 yds.

I had a Taurus hammerless snubby for years
357 was painful, but 38 was fun. It never had a problem.
I ultimately gave it to my brother that has put untold thousands of 38 handloads through it

I'm jelly

Ruger and Smith both do, dunno about Colt.

Thinking of buying my first wheelgat and am looking at either a 6in Colt Python or a SAA. I realize neither of these are good for concealed carry but I usually open carry anyway. Is there anything I should be on the lookout for when looking at either of these used?

So do l

Attached: download (2).jpg (276x182, 8K)

I do just have a k frame but I got mine off of GunBroker. I'd thoroughly check there if you haven't already.

Attached: IMG-20190409-WA0010.jpg (2340x4160, 2.29M)

Smith only applies to the original owner and Ruger has nothing on paper (I'm sure they'd repair most but nothing stopping them from not) a Taurus gun has a no questions asked warranty for the lifetime of the gun (excluding alterations or unsafe ammo)

Wow you couldn't have made 2 worse decisions. If you really want to carry the thing then you should seriously put aesthetics second and practicality first, since a third or gunman isn't going to stop to appreciate your gun.

Great modern carry revolvers like the S &W 327 would be great if you wanted to carry. If you really just want some fun shooting then a SAA would be fine, preferably one from Uberti or Ruger.

Thief* not third

I get what you're saying about them being theft targets being carried openly. Is there any other reason they're terrible choices? Learning about revolvers from the ground up here.

>$10,000 for a modern Webley

A contender is revolver-ish and you can suppress them really easily.

They do, but the Wrangler is meant to compete with low cost revolvers like the Heritage or Chiappa.

Nice, I have the same one. Do you keep the hammer on an empty chamber or on the 'safety' between the nipples

Would you recommend the 686 as a first revolver?

I can't decide if I want big iron or BIGGER iron

Best K-frame?

>6in Colt Python
>not good for concealed carry
it's one of my two most carried guns of the last seven years

Attached: python.jpg (2380x1040, 469K)

Any without Hillary Holes.....

Mmm, catalin grips.

Attached: SW10-5.jpg (1024x768, 96K)

Oh shit fair enough

I'm also a giant, I should try this with my mr73

Sure, it's a good gun.

Model 12.

that's my other most carried gun.
size-wise it fits a typical K-L frame sized holster like that Galco for the Python, but I had to get a custom holster to accommodate the horn on those Nill grips. If yours has the Trausch grips they might not fit either.

aside from the knives this old edc pic is still relevant

Attached: on a steel horse.jpg (1600x1200, 535K)

Where'd you get the Webley?

noice, I'm going to get a nice supple leather holster so the bluing does ok. how much wear are you seeing?
