It's too odd not to love.

They're like weird Czech proto-Uzi's in 7.62x25, I'd give my left nut to own one.

fails to feed sometimes...

How often is sometimes? This is important, I have been thinking about it alot and whether I could eat ramen for a few months.

>How often is sometimes?
Oh I'd say about every 60 shorts, more or less. Sometimes I might get 2 failures while emptying a mag, other times I might empty a bunch of mags before getting one Haven't experimented with different brands of ammo though.

are you sure you're not having a mag problem

That could be the case. I've only tried c-products 10 round steel mags with it.

Mark your mags and do some testing, it might be a mag problem. I have heard that sometimes the .223 Vz58s can hiccup but ruling out magazine issues is a good first step.

I'm looking forward to the Bren2

Get it in 7.62x39, faggot. 223 is going bye bye once the army drops it, and fags who spent too much on their ARs won't even stay behind it, they'll drop it too in a subconscious admission that it was always shit.

As far as the VZ goes, it's great. Better than the AK and I'm an AK nerd. The only thing it doesn't have is the commonality, and the lighter weight makes recoil suck. You WILL need to invest in a good muzzle device to help with recoil, otherwise it'll fuck up your cheek bone.

That stock is a joke, it's like they purposely made it look cheap and ugly. I'll never understand why on such high profile guns they put a sloped stock on them. That gun is like 2 stories tall, and yet it still needs raised sights because of how retarded they are. Leave the goddamn stock low so you can put low profile sights on it you Czech and Belgian retards.

Kits are like 70 bucks dude.

>223 is going bye bye once the army drops it
>a-any day now, 5.56 and .223 is going to die!
Cope harder you slavboo faggot

Me bren gun
Disregard the sig.

How does the BREN stack up to a SCAR?

You're the one coping. They've made it clear that they proved it sucks and have actively sought a replacement for a while now. They're only locked in due to cost.

I like it, don't get me wrong. But here's my list of criticisms.
It's heavier.
I prefer the scar stock. The cheek rest sits pretty far back and especially if you extend the stock at all.
I also had to change my backstrap because the grip was too small in back to hold comfortably but I still couldn't easily reach the mag release. It's for super fingers with tiny palms I guess.
Safety is not easily manipulated without removing your hand from the grip.
It gets pretty hot when you shot it a lot. My foregrip is mostly for heat management.
Got an aftermarket charging handle thats angled down a bit because the stock one is very easy to rip your knuckles on if you mount anything, in my case an eotech which meant the corner of the metal housing.
I bought some aftermarket push button take down pins which are allegedly captive but I'm really underwhelmed by them and wouldn't recommend them to anyone. The stock ones are just fine.

All those are minor issues though.
It eats whatever I feed it, it takes every type of mag I've tried, runs smooth as butter, shoots great.
And unlike the scar it comes with a nice field cleaning kit, and 2 mags.

these are so wacky.

You can insert the bolt back into the rifle without holding the trigger

What the fuck was that?

One of the coolest Assault rifles the world has to offer

I agree. I wonder is they will be an ACR stock adapter for this one.

Nice.gif

they make the sights like that so you can put a red dot on it and it would still be aligned with the sights, have you ever noticed how a red dog is on an ak for example? it's basically impossible to align it with the sights.

Any links? For 70 bucks I might buy two for shits and giggles

Decided not to be a tard and looked it up myself, 75 bucks apexgunparts.com/parts-kits/czech-sa-26-support-set-package-folding-skeleton-stock-7-62x25.html

It really is the shame that I don't have vz58.

Attached: czechnology_.jpg (1263x711, 356K)

But you do have the good RAMI

I'm just fucking around, I thought you were quoting Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (I know it's a different Bren gun).

What shotgun is that? It’s a beauty.

One of these days I'm going to build out an sa25 parts kit. I fucking love those things. I love my VZ too, hopefully we both get our hands on what we're looking for.

It's a czech ZP46, 16ga.
It looked like this before I did what I did

Attached: zp46_.jpg (1263x711, 303K)

It's not like I don't have an opportunity to buy vz58, the thing is, that I'm czech and also a
collector/hipster snowflake and vz58 is so common here, that I rather buy norinco type 56 because it's less common and also cheaper.

Is that for the first gen or the Gen 2?

Attached: 1557347674771.jpg (1018x652, 354K)

Thats bad ass.

The Red Rifle section of CanadianGunNutz.com has a fuckton of modded VZ's. It's one of the most popular rifles in Canada.

People who refer to the Czech Republic as Czechia deserve to be beaten.

Did they make a 12ga? Wouldn’t mind a nice Czech Sxs. And what length did you chop her to?

Well, go give your government a beating because they started it.

>implying we'll ever get rifle versions

I'm diggin my vz2008

what's the best option for mounting a light to the 58? I have the CSA rubberized lower guard and a bakelite upper handguard on it now. was thinking to replace the lower handguard with a poly set with rails but I'm wondering if gas vent will make that an issue.

I'll never get over the fact we made the guns for Japanese and Chinese to kill each other with.
And they liked it so much they put it on... their tanks. The oh-so-famous Japanese tanks.

Attached: Type97LMG.jpg (1609x421, 514K)

You have no idea how much we want to do that.

Tak tohle je účelovka jako!

First gen.
Bren 2 has me cautiously optimistic but tbqh I don't like a lot of the changes they've made other than the weight reduction. I've never handled one though so I'm just talking out my ass about pictures and what I've read.
I already don't like that they've changed the import version.

Czech women are one of the most beautiful.

Blbost. Kalousek za to nemůže, kde bych se vzal na Jow Forums prosímvás.

Czech women have huge knockers because they drink a lot of beer, from what I hear.

Had a rifle length scorpion EVO.

didn't love it. Good gun but the stock was shit and getting a good check weld and sight picture was a chore.
Sold it and went back to my CX4.

>one police service is adopting a 7.62 rifle
>SEE .223 IS ON ITS WAY OUT
COPE

Looking to get a .22 rifle for target shooting that's a little nicer than my Marlin Model 60, was looking at the CZ 457 MTR but I don't see them for sale anywhere.

The other 457s look okay, anybody have one? Sounds like the safety's nicer and the shitty stamped trigger guard is gone which was basically my only aesthetic complaint with the 455 and earlier

Attached: pEvzgNbg[1].png (1024x684, 1.02M)

Im looking to make a vz26 through my uncle's store as a "dealer sample", is the only way to make a select fire receiver to machine one yourself? I'm not very familiar with telescoping bolt SMGs

This is backwards, it is sa. 26 with folding stock

Why are VZ58 over 1k US now? ITAR?

Do any of the cool interwar shit still survive in civilan hands? or do you really just have post 91 milsurp and commerial stuff? Does anybody have zb 26s?

Have a CZ-38

Any other VZfags figure out a good solution without compromising aesthetics?

The recoil is fine with no muzzle device. If you were to be shooting full auto.. well maybe then it would be handy.

I've never had that problem. I've put about 1700 rounds through mine so far and havent ever had an issue of the rifle not being comfortable or hard to grip. I also have beaver barf furniture

Attached: cz97b.jpg (1920x1080, 632K)

Same, it does get warm, but it isn't so bad if you don't touch the exposed metal parts. If it does get so bad, I guess one could wear gloves

Maybe I just have abnormally sweaty hands, feels bad mang.

Are they hard to get elsewhere? They are like 250€ in the Czech republic

Waiting for my CSA Vz. 58 Carbine to get delivered.

I like my bren a heck of a lot. Wish parts where cheaper and the lower reciever is really soft plastic and im worried about the long term viability of it, but other than that it has been fantastic.

I'm a fucking idiot guys
VZ-58 is my first gun and I was seeing if I could field strip it then reassemble it from memory. I put the striker in upside down and put just the bolt carrier in with the striker into the receiver to see how it'd fit and now the bolt carrier won't come out.

Is there anything I can do?
I hate myself...

Man you are retarded, how could you possibly fucked that up? There are like 4 parts why do you need to memorise this?

Try pushing forwards on it while pulling the carrier backwards. that's my only suggestion.

I almost want to try that and see what happens but I don't want to fuck my rifle up. Try gently tapping it with a rubber mallet.

Its very short barrel impacts muzzle velocity too much (560 to 570m/s for the compact vs 670 to 700m/s for the carbine). It uses proprietary handguards and gas piston. Reliability issues were reported more frequently on the compact than in the other models.

The only reason I’d go shorty is for a Strike Back larp.

looks like something you would build in Tarkov or sth.

In North America, it's "once a machine gun, always a machine gun", so we need to make newly manufactured receivers and then we need to make it fire from a closed bolt, so it's not exactly a low effort conversion.

>I put the striker in upside down
Fucking how, there's only one possible way the striker can go in the gun unless you fucking hammer it in so hard the lips break.

Am I only Czech in this country who actually prefers the AK? I get shady as fuck looks when I say that in public. I just don't like 7,62 at all, 5,45 is so much more fun shooting.

I know that feel bro, i just like AK´s more aesthetically. Shame they´re out of stock almost everywhere because of the sanctions on russia. I´ve been lusting for AKS74U for quite a while.

Also that aftermarket. Zenit furniture is pure porn, even though a bit heavy. You can buy U on many places, actually even Krinkov brah. Full-sized 74s are issue, pretty much only bulgos here. Which are great, but still.

Can't you get them from Romania/Serbia/China/etc?
At least they're fucking legal in your country. Here the only models we can lawfully own are Valmets, which were pricey to begin with, are no longer in production and supply/demand pushes their price to 3-4k maple pesos.

Yeah, we can. Polish, Bulgarian, Romanian and others. No Chinese and Russian though. Sometimes you can be lucky and someone is selling Russians and few shops still sell Krinkovs, but that's all. Strangely enough we can get good Russian ammo though.

Anyone have a CSA vz58 in 5.56? How are they?
Considering picking one up
