i fucking hate it
Just traded+cash a german k98k in shit condition that I only have like 450$ in, plus 500$ for a nice never shot saiga.
Its got a “Russian American Armory Company” import mark on the side, still has cosmoline all over it, super nice wood furniture on it.
Howd I do/whats it worth?
post a pic. you probably fucked up, german K98s, even shitty ones, sell for like $600+
what happen to the discord?
I have an SGL-21 without the receiver trunnion for the folding AK-100 style stock.
Any shops that offer this service? Is it advisable to do? I asked rifle dynamics a couple years ago and they quoted me an 8 month turn around time, fuck that.
hell yeah!
what the vepr 12
this thread was a mistake.
wtf kind of stock is that.
:^
I get it's a meme but it's just gross.
It's a TXS AK-MS stock. Not available yet.
>and it's $300
txsllc.com
the past will haunt us all for the rest of our days
My new AK.
Still don't know if i'll buy a second one or use this one for a complet zenitco setup
Btw where are the cheapest mags that I can found in Switzerland ?
find
Recently got an RH10 for 540 at my LGS, how did I do fellas? Probably gonna get a folding wire stock and dong grip desu
Sorry for blurry pic, camera has parkinsons and I gotta get it fixed
From what im understanding, the reason some Legion saigas have the huge hash mark on the right side of the receiver is to mark out the “russian american armory company” stamp. Which is kinda cool I guess because Ive always avoided buying all the Legions in my price range because of that.
>using the discord
Zoinks
>promoting something the was created on the sole premises that /arg/ has a discord and therefore /akg/ should too because now we have an extreme influx of ARtards buying AKs as a status symbol
Double zoinks, Scoob
Breddy gud for the price, wirefolders are solid and if you get the cheekriser modification from AMD65tech they're really comfy to use. Also, get your hands on some steel magazines instead of using Magpul.
>$300 for literally
>spare one
Probably should've mentioned I was talking about the rubber buffer
Why no Magpul!?
>OK Giddy
happened
I just dont get how you cant hate ban config Mak90s
Such a fugly yet iconic symbol of the 90s
Magpul polymer mags are fragile as hell and only good for the range. They fall apart very easily if you're beating them to hell. If you're going to get polymer mags, they need to have steel reinforcement on all sides including the locking lugs. Other than getting your hands on Arsenal or Bakelite magazines, the commercial Bulgarian reinforced magazines are alright. They make two versions of this magazine, make sure to get the one with the steel locking lugs.
>replying to bait
>replying to the baited
What belt??
What
L A D S
>paint pen is now a shady thing to use
Still gonna use it on my next build lmao
Anyone try one of these yet?
youtube.com
If you're going to do shit like that, at least plan it out so it doesn't look like garbage
looks pretty gay desu
Not an AK.
It was a white sharpie
I did it one night like 4 years ago when I’d been drinking. They’re those shitty Bulgarian bullet mags. I’ve had one break apart before just using it lightly at the range, so I figured they wouldn’t last long
Anyone know of or where to find a gunsmith that has experience building a PKM/doing the semi auto conversion. I've always been interested it in but it seems so specialized that finding one seems impossible.
Two rivers might do it, but considering they charge like $800 for a standard AK build, it’ll probably be a very spendy build
I don't expect to be cheap by any means, I would expect to pay at least 2-3k if not possibly more for the build/conversion. Would like to find a nice romanian PKM parts kit and probably a VLTOR receiver. I hear the hardest part is doing the conversion per ATF requirements for semi-auto.
Very interesting seeing the differences side by side. Never knew the handguards differed by that much
/akg/ i need some expert advice.
I made the mistake of being AK ignorant before buying a C39V2
Im looking to sell it and an option for a straight trade right now is an AWB erra Maadi imported by A.C.C INT/INTRAC.
C39 needs to go, no question. Is the Maadi a good alternative?
>blueing on bolt carrier is flaking off
>thumbhole stock
>threads are pinned & welded under a no feature muzzle brake
Anything i should consider? My second option is just selling the c39 and buying a new ak down the line
If they're offering you a straight trade, take it. I'm guessing you haven't reached out to them, though
Im more worried about issues i might not know about with the Maadi.
The c39 is the evil i know sort of thing
They're fine. Not as nice as the pre ban Steyr imports, but totally fine and better than the Century abortion. You can get the pinned brake fixed and replace the thumbhole stock, and who gives a shit about the finish on the BC? It's a gun, it gets worn. Other than that, you've owned an AK, you know how they function. Have your gunsmith check out the headspace before you shoot it if you're really worried.
Acquired a Vepr 12 and applied an RPK stock. I'll fit the handguard soon and stain.
Nice dude you could swing that thing around like a warhammer when it's empty, too.
whoops. i'm bidding on a aes 10b, wish me luck niggas. that would bring me to three slav carbines, one DMR, and one (neutered) SAW. Then comes the slav shotty.
>who gives a shit about the finish on the BC
I dont really, just rust paranoia
So keep your gun lööb'd, carpet muncher
Romania makes the best AK variants, you can @me on that
Dont you own like 5 and no dimples
But do they make
>AK104 inspired
goodness?
How many times are we gonna teach you this lesson old man
>I love the young people :^)
Ironically would look better as a brace
>implying dimples are relevant
lol they quite literally do
>implying nondimpled receivers look good
>mfw all the new M10s being bought up are gonna either look like this or worse than Max's md.90 build within the next year
>not getting ready for a new wave of bullying poorfags who fell for the romymeme
RPK has a benis
That's why I like her
honestly if he put a little birdcage on it, his wouldn't look bad in the bottom pic. I kinda want to get a draco and SBR it to be like the top pic.
>or if i hate my wasr enough, buy a combo gas block and send it off to be c h o p p e d
>he doesn't know
540 is a good price these days
I did mine in fagpul because I'm gay like that but it's a good rifle and won't let you down
How did you fit your HG? Trying to do mine today
Itll still be better than the non-dimpled, AKM gas lengths ones that'll pop up left and right
Are there any good alternatives to the SLR106 for 5.56 AKs?
Yeah a Polish Beryl or a Saiga or SAM5.
based nacy
Build a 101 or 102
Who does the best saiga conversions?
Got my first AK of armslist this weekend. What wood furnature do I buy to fix this tacticool abortion?
got outbid. fuck paying so much for a romy rpk. Sigh. I picked a real fucking dumb time to decide I liked firearms and AKs particularly
InRangeInc, JBI Armory. There’s others but their rivet work looks like utter shit.
>tfw when I paid $700 for mine in February
and you should see how shitty the wood is on the new CAI aes 10b's, holy fuck. Yours is 100% better just for that reason
SAR 3
You can get a set of russian laminate for like, $130 if you look
I realize that, but now the rifle costs over $1,600 all in with taxes buying new from Atlantic. That's complete absurdity, dude
Yeah it is. Keep an eye on Atlantic, a while ago they had some Romy BFPU RPKs for $1000 that have been praised on AKfiles. Arms of America has some headspaced kits for like $800, some demilled kits for even less. Buy the bits one piece at a time; a barrel here, a receiver there. Im sending a rifle kit off to My Guns in oregon to be built, he only charges $240.
thanks user. maybe i'll go for this:
armsofamerica.com
>Russian laminate for Romanian AK
How about no
How about yes
I concur
