I have some operational maps of grozny is anyone is interested.
Y'know I read a rather convincing conspiracy theory that the 1999 Russian apartment bombings were a false flag conspiracy carried out by the FSB to consolidate Putin's power. Really gets the old noggin' joggin'.
Doesent sound below the Russian goverment to do things like that.

No.1 of 5.
Putin was a spook so...
It's been borderline conclusively proven now
Know what date the maps are from?
Thanks user

Can you give a brief description of what the maps are of? Like area and units
Father Anatoly Chistousov, He is said to of given last rights to soldiers and chechens. He was taken hostage by chechen forces in a attempt to cause russian paratroopers to surrender. He was killed in 1995 his body was never found although a photo of his body was found in 1996. Sorry for bad english im a few shots in.

Ukranian Volenteers in Chechnya.
Goodnight bros
But at what cost tho?
The US would do the same, especially during the 60's, aka Operation Northwoods
''That's just the owner of an unusual. Black, tall - two meters long. Big eyes, flat nose, white teeth, especially brightly highlighted on a dark face. And no accent, even a bit strange to hear the purely Russian pronunciation from a black guy.'' Minin Traore is pretty interesting
Got another one, here iwth a GRU Colonel
>two meters (6.5 feet) tall
Holy shit, how tall are those other guys then?
They make him look like a manlet.
How times change
Guess Ukrainians learned "what goes around comes around" the hard way.
Another one of him
>ultimate vatnik btfo
What a hilarious war.
What's his story?
Weird how the bombs were made of explosives only the gov had, and when discovered prior to detonation the police called the Army engineers to disable the devices.. but the army said “I wouldn’t worry about it user lol.
>tall - two meters long
Not even close
Why didnt russians like their helmets?

TL;DR from the link, guy is the son of a Ukrainian woman and a guy from Equatorial Guinea, they met in Russia at a veterinary academy. Guy became a junior sgt. in the army
Were commissars still a thing in the chechen war ?
dayum, here's hoping that guy made it out alive
Good thread. But I need less Jow Forums and more photos.
which time? early or late '90s?
Early: Russia wanted to stop the Federation from dissolving any further.
Late: The first war had turned Chechnya into an lawless den of both criminals and Islamists, neither of which was good news to anyone so Russia had to do something, Chechens understandably didn't like that, things escalated & then someone (allegedly a Chechen-) pushed a button & eight floors came down (also known as "Russian elevator")
Some personal stories would be good too
MVD forces in Grozny 1996
Yes.
>new russian government formed after 74 years of communist rule
>territory deep inside russian borders declares its independence
>opportunity for the new government to show it isn’t some crapitalist whipping boy
>antics ensue for almost 2 decades
They were and it is exactly something the Russian government would do.
>freedom or death
Fun fact: the reason why the Russian troops were so reluctant to actually move into Grozny was because they believed the city was crawling with snipers and fighters, even though there was only a few hundred in total with dwindling supplies.
Unit cohesion was also non existant during the battle for grozny.
>I have some operational maps of grozny is anyone is interested
Do you know where you are?
Of course you post them whore
Putin doing underhanded subversive shit nah, I don't buy it
And yet still stay the same
Same guy some hundred battles later
