I imagined it but magnum levels of recoil would likely wear or destroy the action pretty quickly. I'd settle for 9mm and detachable mags and select fire. like

I concede the action would have to be significantly changed, (The idea was less making a straight up copy and more the idea of a pistol who can fit a stock and has magazines outside the grip)
The chinese made mausers in .45 and the 9×25mm Mauser was a pretty big cartridge, so i think at least a 10mm or .357 SIG one could work
