John Wick 3

I liked the first John Wick a lot. Obviously it's not really all that realistic but it's a perfect movie to waste time watching - a simple revenge plot with a satisfying conclusion. The second one was not really needed and they made a mistake with cinematography as opposed to the first. The first movie the camera is set back and you can actually see the action happening while in the second the camera is close up and it can be a bit hard to see everything going on. It was too much of a change from the first movie. Besides the other dumb shit they did like the subway shootout it was just okay. I don't see how the third could top the first or even be relevant after the second one. They should have stopped after the first movie.

Call me up when this gets adapted into a movie

I enjoyed it. Definitely not as good as the 1st but still fun - about the same as the second, maybe a little better, maybe a little worse depending on your tastes.

I still find the movies fun, I just think they could have done things better like keeping things simple and frame all the camera work the same way. Real shame when hollywood gets their hands on things and ends up ruining a good thing

Honestly I really liked it not for the action but they packed a bunch of story into this one. Also realism with him being super tired and even the knife throwing part in the beginning where they werent the right weight because they arent made for throwing and they just kept hitting each other with the butt ends of these knives. Really refreshing when every other action movie has characters picking up any knife they find and being able to hit and kill with them

I just got back from seeing it. It was more like the Raid than John Wick 2. (Some of the actors from the Raid and the Raid 2 were even in the movie.) The story was a bit more focused than the second one, and they avoided repeating that dumbass fight in the subway that the last movie had. The catacombs fight was remade and it looked just as good. Also, there was more focus on the assassins being actual assassins and more than specialized mercenaries. The fights overall were realistic enough. I counted three times where Keanu should have been shot by an off-camera assailant given the circumstances, but those are brief enough that it is not immersion-breaking.

Keanu looked like he was actually having fun in some shots.

I can totally forgive the catacombs scene because that actually felt pretty well done. There was nothing particularly immersion breaking or unrealistic about it, and in fact I think it has one of the best examples in a movie of someone being interrupted mid reload in a gunfight I've ever seen.
