Nice rifle, love the plum. Honestly yours is a lot closer to what I originally pictured when I bought this thing, but at some point I just said "fuck it" with this rifle. It's been a long time WIP. Cleaning rod will be added when the new gasblock and muzzle device is installed. BUIS is on the way. Need to order a QD sling mount.

I need a flashlight mount to hang a Surefire 600 size (E2D) in a ring mount off the side of the rail. Ideally it would hang it below the rail rather than above or straight out. Anyone have any suggestions? The IWC & Arisaka mount keep it higher than I'd like, I want a really snug fit.

TWS Gen3 dogleg holds zero as well at least as the rifle is accurate. I don't think the rifle has ever shot better than a 2.5MOA group with any optic, and I haven't noticed any shifts in POI. The Gen3 lockup is really solid.

The mag is a mystery mag from RTG. No stripper clip guides, no metal tabs or feed lips, and the follower is questionable, but it works well enough and they're dirt cheap for 5.45 mags. I like the aesthetic, I've got smoke Lancers in my AR.

doing a non-period front end with a set of 88 Izzy gas block and fsb, 100 series fsb with intact plungers are a bitch to find so the 2 piece fsb should be fine

Don't listen to the autists in these threads about PSAK GF3s. The simple truth is they're currently unproven. There's multiple people out there testing them for longterm reliability and so far they've been okay. No major causes for concern except Rob Ski's firing pin retaining pin falling out somehow, although the firing pin is still in place and it's covered by warranty. If you own other AKs already, they're a fun range toy and the fit and finish on them is amazing, although you really should invest in an ALG trigger, the trigger on these is dogshit. If you don't own an AK already, or at least some other go-to-war rifle, I'd really recommend a WASR for a first AK. They're simply a more proven model.

Where did you find an 88 izzy gas block and fsb. I mangled mine during demil cause I was a retard back then, and have been looking for a set ever since!

There's lots of options to get a dot down much closer to the bore / comb. I really considered a rear sight-leaf replacement RMR mount, but wanted the versatility of the full cover space. I've got a spare ACOG, but that'd be a chin-weld too.

Not that the stock offers a very good weld anyway. I'm tempted to figure out a cheek rest of some kind.

Yeah I know, I just have been wanting a C-more for a long time and actually had that Belarusian rail mount for a long time, it looks really cool and isn’t terrible to look down, but gives great visibility, so I’m a little conflicted. And like you said kinda want to work up a cheekpad solution.

I've read a couple things on AKFiles the last few months about their stock running low, no more 104's, 106's, or the fixed stock 107's with no future shipments planned etc. I have no idea if it's true as Arsenal has a habit of blowing smoke up peoples asses.

It's Arsenal Bulgaria's decision on what to shit stateside. FIME will buy whatever they offer. Unfortunately they (AB) are too busy making milled military rifles for hadjis to send many commercial rifles here. 107CRs have shown up again recently, so I don't think they've stopped shipping stamped rifles it's just VERY diminished.

It's not the rifles thet you have to worry about, it's the mag availability with the 106s.
You might want to wait to see what Zastava USA decides to fuck with, the M90(NP) might be available again soon.

I have a feeling the Zastava rifles are going to be horribly overpriced compared to where they were.

For all I know they could be fucking with the newer M21s. It's all speculation at this point, but seeing as they're using 5.56x45 as their standard ammo, it might go that route.

yes. Really got some trigger time on my M72. It's fucking hard to shoot from the bipod at a table cause its a little too tall. It's dead fucking nuts on at 100 yards though.

I currently have a Burris fastfire on it, and it's pretty aesthetic, but I imagine the PK06 is probably tougher than the fastfire.

I was probably $650 into the M72 all said and done. Only thing I dislike about it is the comb on the stock, it's way too tall. It would work great with a POSP or one of the many chin-weld russian siderail mounted red dots, yet the yugos did not have a side rail.

I've considered grabbing a Mastermount and a 6x POSP for this gun. It's quite aesthetic, from the few pics I've seen

Thankfully I got it on clearance for about $.12 a round or so.

First mag of it through my M74, i had two instances where the bolt did not go fully into battery, and got fucking seized up maybe a quarter inch before fully closing. Had to whack it quite hard before it would open. I tried reloading those two rounds and the same thing happened. Next magazine, had the case jam with the torn rim. I stopped shooting that shit after that.
I had zero problems with Wolf 5.45
