It's really the only effective cluster MLRS in the game, and if used well it's very good.

You fire it over areas the enemy will likely hold, such as small forward forested strips or little corners where people usually place CVs. When sniping at high value targets, place your aim so that the cluster munitions will catch the vehicle reversing towards friendly lines.

Literally any army from the last 200 years onwards. Other than the dragon, which is not to my knowledge immune to bullets, you are facing a late medieval mostly conscripted army. Disciplined troops with muzzleloading rifles and bayonets would wipe the floor with anything Westeros has. See for example, the British Army c. 1850. Anything more modern would just make things even easier.

I would have preferred the last season be one episode of Cersei, Dany, and the Night King getting vaporized by drone strikes and it never being followed up on or explained

The only thing that would be an issue in GoT would be Faceless Men infiltrating your ranks, and Melisandre and her shadow baby assassins. There really wouldn't be much of a defense against straight up magic. Everything else gets stomped.

Not to mention dropping Luna-Ms on castle walls or having groups of Mi-24s make runs on enemies or disgorging Spetsnaz directly into town squares.

Buying that much MLRS is probably not good as you'll be neglecting your other duties in a match. If the smerch radius is:
Smerch -.......- Enemy
You would fire it like: Smerch -HVT.....- Enemy, this can also be used against enemy tanks and other high value targets, ideally with ATGMs out front so if your opponent predicts your tactic you can get a few free snipes at it.

Dragons are only so powerful because they can fly out of the range of most range weapons and breath a special type of fire. They don't have impenetrable scales like say from lort.

You could stomp them with the Civil War era US military, only real military threat is still white walkers and their zombies. Modern US military would kick the living shit out of all of them. They would be utterly helpless against armor and artillery would do some serious work. No dragon could hope to match modern aircraft capabilities either. The whole iron fleet could be sunk by a single destroyer. We could legit CAS and carpet bomb all of them into oblivion while casually cleaning up the survivors. The only real problem is the night king but that little bastard would probably end up captured and locked up until it's figured out he dies when stabbed with a special steel or regular old obsidian. If we so desired and gave no shits about fallout we could also just drop some nukes on the night king's army and be done with it before he even gets near the wall. Nothing like your army that dies in fire suddenly bursting into flames or being blown apart with the blinding flash and deafening roar of Atom's loving embrace.

Realistically we'd end up winning against the houses and the king/queen at the time through submission. Most would probably be smart enough to surrender to the hyper advanced murder men and their terrifying death machines. One Dragon is bad enough. Tanks, howitzers, helicopters, jets, and modern firearms would be able to crush any force they could muster so quickly it would utterly crush morale. Just imagine the effects of firing one canister shot into a block of men lined up to fight or lighting them up with M-2s. The Kingdoms of Westeros would end up bending the knee fast.

If a dragon can be effectively stabbed with swords and whatnot it can be penned by just about whatever you want.

This season the capital city was going to be taken over through logistics. Main character was going to set up camp at key trading areas so the town couldn't receive supplies. They could do it with a dragon... with a modern day army you could completely lock down any area gained in conquest. Rifleman completely overpower anything that moves with a strong enough weapon. Were firing at ranges the old world could dream of accurately, with insane penetration.
