Nice FN 509.

Why do I see the vp40 nowhere ? I picked one up at a show a few months back and love it.

Normies are afraid of fowty

Are these things any good? There was a little meming about them in the last thread.

Hey do you guys remember that experimental gun from about 5 years ago which had two reciprocating masses instead of one singular slide? One block went forward and one block went rearward and the idea was it was supposed to cancel recoil.

It's in my brain but the manufacturer, designer and model completely escape me atm. Here is my expert artistic rendition of the pistol.

It was huge, it had a really cheap shitty looking hype website and the designer was some guy working out of a shed but I'd like to see what happened to it. (nothing obviously)

lol Did you actually buy one of those? I didn't realize they'd even materialized.

Absolutely they are. Very smooth action and a good trigger, very noticeably high quality feel. I've seen them around in the low $2000s, and when you consider it comes with the exclusive Aimpoint Nano sight that costs $700 by itself that's not so outrageous.

Attached: backwards-gun.png (1430x913, 9K)

>USW
I've always been curious, is the grip/magwell (not the interchangable bit) poly, aluminum, or steel? It's hard to tell with Sphinx-pattern guns.

Burtato good news! After watching videos and going to sites in languages I can't understand I've realized that Phoenix is not only continuing the SDP line under the name Fusion (we already knew this I think) but they are also making the full size pistol from that line in the same price range and we can expect prices on it to be closer to what SDP prices were!!! Get hype!

I'm trying to find out if this Tec-9 is pre-ban. I'm thinking it is, the only info I can find is it might be pre-ban because of the rings that you can hook a sling to. I'm asking here because its technically a pistol. And yes, its one of the shittiest guns I've ever used but it looks cool in the safe.

Attached: 6846375867.jpg (1893x1440, 470K)

I couldn't find hg general the other day and got so much anxiety I threw up

Plastic. The old ones might have been aluminum, Idunno, but the new ones are definitely plastic.

Oh shid!

But if they can do that then why is the Wetback so expensive??

Are you okay now tho?

Attached: 1515609579234.gif (336x200, 758K)

I am thinking about buying this S&W model 29 but the guy is asking $600. I’ve seen prices all over the place for these and especially used ones. I feel like offering $500 or $480 makes sense as it doesn’t have original grips and has fair wear. I need help on the value. I haven’t gotten the number yet but from the looks it seems like a 29-3

Because the Wetback is the Sphinx 3000 equivalent and has to be expensive because reasons. In all seriousness I'd be happy to have either. It looks like they took the old SDP full size frames and added the thumb checking like the Redback has. They're very hard to find pictures of.

Attached: images.jpg (275x183, 9K)

This one is a better picture but I figured you'd want proof of a carry optics version first. If it's under $2k for the iron sight model I'm in.

Attached: phoenix-fusion-stp-guns-prommersberger.jpg (1332x935, 268K)

Better yes thx u Bart

>plastic grip
Well that blows. It's technically a replaceable part, I think, but I'm not sure if Sphinx grips fit it. Something tells me it'd be a bitch to import one.

Nice gun, where was it made?

380 for calicuck? Im thinking of springing for the sig p238 after hearing some people say the khar 380 is unreliable even after the 200 round break in.

Old Sphinx factory.
>muh autists can't detect sarcasm

But where should I grip it?

i really do own it

Yeah it's a little disheartening.

What all's on the list that we have to pick from?

Do you have more information? I didn't think they ever made them available because of the lawsuit. They still haven't made any under the New Order name afaik. Is that a Night Owl or a New Order? How and when did you get it?

Unfortunately there isn't really a database of Tec-9 serial numbers to get an exact date, but this will give you an approximation.
I've got one in this same configuration and based on the sights and sling points, it would've been made somewhere between 1987-1992.

Attached: pjimage.jpg (1250x1000, 261K)

Thanks for the info. I love this gun from a collector's standpoint, and the grey and black looks better than the all black imo. Thinking about finding an extended barrel for it just make it look more ridiculous.

Attached: DSC04909.jpg (635x476, 111K)

I've got one on mine, it's ludicrously front-heavy,
but it looks neat.

Attached: Not_Legal_In_California_2.jpg (4032x2268, 3.44M)

I keep seeing that style barrel, but I want one that matches the gun's barrel. As for your file name, I think its also illegal in Maryland, Delaware, and of course New York since its considered an "assault weapon". I'm glad I'm in VA, at least we have some rights here. For now.

There's not a lot. I think there's less than 20 handguns in .380 on the california doj approved handgun list. oag.ca.gov/firearms/certguns

List them bud

Accu-Tek AT-380 II / 17-4 Stainless Steel

Bersa (Industria Argentina) Firestorm 380 / 4140 Steel; Alloy

CZ USA (Ceska Zbrojovka Fox) 83 (Glossy Blue) 01301 / Steel

Kahr Arms P380 (KP38233/KP38233N) / Polymer Frame; Stainless Steel Slide

Sig Sauer, Inc. (Sauer, J.P. & Sons, Sig Arms) P232 (Stainless) 232-380-SSS / Stainless Steel

Sturm, Ruger & Co. LC380CA 03253 / Alloy; Polymer

Well shart yeah then with those choices the best imo is the P238--but it's not listed there, is that approved or no? Kahr would be my second pick.

Sig Sauer, Inc. (Sauer, J.P. & Sons, Sig Arms) P232 (Stainless) 232-380-SSS / Stainless Steel

Sig Sauer, Inc. (Sauer, J.P. & Sons, Sig Arms) P232 (Stainless) Hogue Grips / Stainless Steel

Sig Sauer, Inc. (Sauer, J.P. & Sons, Sig Arms) P238 238-380-HD-CA / Stainless Steel

Sig Sauer, Inc. (Sauer, J.P. & Sons, Sig Arms) P238 238-380-HD2-CA / Stainless Steel

Sig Sauer, Inc. (Sauer, J.P. & Sons, Sig Arms) P238 238-380-TSS2-CA / Stainless Steel; Alloy

Sig Sauer, Inc. (Sauer, J.P. & Sons, Sig Arms) P238 (Two-Tone) 238-380-TSS-CA / Stainless Steel; Alloy

My bad missed a few. Copy pastin with a phone on that site is a bitch

they're branded as new order and there are a handful floating around the area they kinda gave up on trying to get them out there

Attached: 2019-05-18 13.29.13.jpg (4032x3024, 2.24M)

So, I'm torn between getting a Ruger LCR and a 9mm Shield since they both seem to have their pros and cons. The Shield would be more pleasant to practice with, right?

Shield is the better gun in every way. Using a revolver for self defense outside of a pocket gun role is a brainlet tier idea. If you want a pocket revolver I would recommend a S&W 642 over the LCR as its size is more conducive. For IWB use, Shield has less recoil, faster mag changes, better sights, a better trigger, more holster options, and a slimmer profile. Not to mention 8 or 9 is a lot better than 5

The shield is a much, much better gun, is more practical and is light years easier to shoot

Alright, cool. Looks like it's cheaper too.

casino security duty gun on an underpaid $13.75hr job
been working there for 1 1/2 years

Attached: 20190314_140235.jpg (634x1304, 114K)

$13.75 an hour?

That can't be real. Either this is the most run-down shitty casino of all time or you're an actual retard who accepted a job like that for barely more than minimum wage. There are places where you can make that or more serving burgers.

true its underpaid but i'd rather do this than flip burgers for some greasy haired fatboy ordering his Number 9 extra large

we get away with alot of stuff and basically are unfireable unless we rape a hooker or steal from the casino

Thinking of selling my ultramatic wolf LVs.

Anyone interested in a really cool gun that can't cycle a few rounds without jamming?

I've got tons of spare parts for them.

Attached: rimg.php.jpg (1600x1195, 538K)

... Where the fuck do you live, where Burger King is paying you >$13.75 an hour?

Any ammo that it works with? And how many mags?

Attached: pomf.jpg (3264x2448, 3.1M)

I just got a KT Mech Akela holster for my USP-45

Attached: AGvZxn9.jpg (3024x4032, 3.27M)

Want. What are you asking? I've lusted over these since I missed when they were imported for cheap.

Guys who own both USPs and p30s/p2000s, is it worth it to try and find a USP compact for the better SA reset, or is the Gray Guns drop in trigger job a good enough fix to make the p30 reset conparable?

Looking to get either one and mill the slide for a RDS for daily carry and conpetition.

My USP is DA/SA and the P30 is LEM so they aren't directly comparable but the USP definitely has a shorter reset. I'm not a USP compact fan though.

Attached: 20190422_235032.jpg (713x950, 470K)

Because who buys a striker fired HK in .40 for $600 when used USP's exist for $400.

butthurt they won't let me put a red dot on this or a green pointy thingy

Attached: 20190207_210440.jpg (634x1304, 179K)

Where to find hammer fired sigma?

Is it still rape if you pay then after?

next week. dont know what im going to get after. thinkin a .44 or a 20 shockwave.

rape is a social construct

Attached: 37192-DEFAULT-l.jpg (1350x900, 599K)

Lasers are dumb, get a weapon light

Yeah

Attached: 20190507_204945.jpg (720x760, 436K)

Five mags each. I have two of them.

They have a "thousand round break in period" because of how meticulously they where built. EVERYTHING was lap fitted. Don't expect it to work with anything until you really set it in. I've got about 100 rounds though each with five different ammo manufacturers and I can't go five rounds without a failure.

However, they're one of the neatest guns from the 90's. Six inch free floated hammer forged poly rifled barrel, roller delayed blowback bolt that cycles over ten times faster than a 1911, sub-2lb multi adjustable trigger and almost zero recoil. Way ahead of its time.

Don't expect it to work. Expect it to appreciate in value as a paperweight unless you want to break it in.

I'm not sure yet...

Cool!

That mag release area looks uncomfortable as fucc

What's the trigger actually like? I've seen reviews say it's like a DAO and some say it's extremely crisp. Hard to believe there's that much discrepancy.

Shield is definitely more pleasant to practice with. The tradeoff is power, for what that's worth, and size; the LCP is considerably smaller.

Sure I'm interested. [email protected]

Is a Sphinx SDP of questionable history worth it at $200? I want it because I like CZ but have never seen a Sphinx before.

General consensus on best 1911 magazine? Your gun is only as reliable as the mag feeding it.

At first blush I'd say very yeah but what do you mean questionable history? it's a stolen murder weapon?

Sounds like a conscience question.

Round count, maintenance, etc or is that a meme? I'm 99% sure it wasn't used to kill somebody.

Yeah I might be interested. Got an email?

people keep saying wilson combat

Even a cheap Sphinx is a $700 gun. If someone is selling one for $200 there's a reason.

Just got back, day two at the range and I had three of these (pic related) with my new spectrum, might be ammo, using s&b right now. Also one stovepipe, but I was limp wrist if it bad too see if it would.

This is the tism gun

Can you explain break in periods to Burt? He doesn't think they're real.

He's an FFL and it's his privately owned firearm. I don't think he'd put his reputation on the line like that. At $200 what could possibly go wrong? I have never bought a used firearm before.

With a primer dent that big it seems like ammo to me, light primer strikes are usually much shallower than that. But three of them? That's extremely unusual for S&B. My spidey sense is tingling.

I didn't say that exactly, I said manufacturers don't intentionally make guns overly tight to force customers to "break them in" as a matter of course, it just happens that tolerances stack to create an overly tight gun which lacks hand fitting but wasn't intended to be that way, which can be fixed by firing a quantum of rounds.

Buy it then! Post pics of the gun here before you buy if possible, maybe there's something /hg/ can spot.

If it's an AT2000 or 3000 for $200 I'd be EXTREMELY suspicious for a bunch of reasons but those are $2,000-3,000 guns.

Aside from the target sights, could this be a real winner as a full sized duty gun?

>bid on a gun on gun broker
>put my top bid at just under full retail
>guy outbids me putting the gun above retail price
>still has to pay for shipping and FFL

top fucking kek how stupid are people?

auctions can be like gambling. it turns people stupid. also it could be a shill for the seller.

>taurus

no wonder. none of my guns have done that with S&B

I was looking at the green laser light combo for $699, my main issue is finding a Holster for the FNX 45 Tactical with possible RMR, no one likes this gun to make holsters

Attached: 20160812_133356.jpg (2318x1304, 434K)

I've seen boomer fudds bid for Heritage Rough Riders for $300 -$400 just to fuck over young people.

Hey, Taurus is in the thread title, so I’m trying to stay somewhat on thread. Hence posting range results of my $150.00 gun. Bought it for the memes, at least it goes bang.

Thanks, Bort. Please enjoy this picture of my most used gun.

Attached: cz.jpg (3980x2359, 2.38M)

My Spectrum light striked on Blazer aluminum, and the primer indentation was clearly shallow. That looks like a bad batch of ammo.

Attached: Spectrum AutismEDC.jpg (3830x2902, 2.61M)

I think it's extremely lazy people. They don't want to find another one so they just say fuck it to an extra 5 hours at their job and blow the extra money.

Dam Son, very cool!

Awww fuck there's a pattern now

Speculums have problems like that. It really isn't the ammo.

I was eyeballing this exact gun myself. Looks like a solid performer and Tanfolio has been very stringent on their reputation for stability

I did a thing. Also goddamn 9mm is cheap, this is my 11th gun but first 9mm

Attached: IMG_1233.jpg (4032x3024, 2.7M)

Is that a C.W. Nielsen badge?

Seattle was trying to pass it so burger flippers got 15 an hour.

Has anyone heard anything on the longslide Shields that performance center is making? They announced them but didn't give an actual release date

Attached: pcmp4-lead.jpg (1086x610, 324K)

Uh oh...
>m2
Oh whew!

God damn it I don't want to buy any more inexpensive guns but that Walther slipped through the cracks... Jeez do I need to get one?

Portland voted for, and got, $13.25/hr

was going to be mean,
but yes we all have.
s&w has been killing it rn so maybe expect soon

the $320 price after tax was what made me do it. It's not the kind of gun I'm normally even interested in, but I just think it's really neat, and even though I have big hands its a good comfortable (small) fit

>be welfare state
>destroy economy
>money becomes more useless

They need to get off thier ass, I wanna compare this and the Walther PPS thats similar.

Anyone know who makes good Glock mods that aren't mall ninja or space gun tier?

Buy a pistol that isn't a glock.

Bought at the gunshow yesterday. Model 18-3. Wasn’t cheap but I’ve been lusting for another .22lr smith for a while so I had to have it.

Attached: E9B462A9-BA53-4123-9214-EC7252DD1ECB.png (1334x750, 1.6M)

Dude a pre lock model 29 that's not a total piece of shit? that's already not a horrible price, i wouldnt go too low, start off a little more modest before you try to shave it down more

Is $320 a good price for an FN Browning 1910? It's showing its age and has some minor surface rust, but is otherwise functional.
