Installing apertures is probably the best upgrade you can do (followed by replacing the child-sized stock), the stock irons suck. I went with Nodak spud irons because I like to swap between that red dot, the irons, and a crappy 3-8x UTG scope, every couple range trips.

I love my hunter x-22. Realize though that a scope will require you buy the cheek riser kit, unless you want to chin weld; and it does not come with qd points, just a rear sling hole (the front sling swivel needs an m-lok attachment.

20 inch HBAR A2 clone Del Ton kit on a Fulton lower.
This has since been given MOE handguard, MOE rifle buttstock, MIAD grip, Giselle SSE trigger, and a Del Ton chrome lined 20 inch pencil barrel. I've also got a CMMG .22 lr dedicated upper for it.
I actually really like this rifle but Holy God is it long when I put a suppressor on it.
