I keep one in all my cars, one in my EDC bag that I got near by. Carrying it on me...I'll usually only carry an ifak on my person when I go hiking, shooting, etc.

I keep a cat in my pocket and a sealed trauma kit nearby in my car or a bag.

Whats the advantage of the loops over a clip?

I use to before having kids, seem like my pockets are filled with more of their shit than mine. Might make a slim iwb holster for a cat / spare mag, just carry it that way.

Depends on the type of clip but in my experience soft loops are pretty much impossible to break or have them both come loose inadvertently. Clips can snap or pop loose of the belt, especially if you're tangled up with someone and they're trying to get your gun out. Not super likely but I think soft loops are superior in general.

Imo soft loops are good for people who don't use a gunbelt for carrying. Rigid belts keep clips locked in nicely, if the clip size matches the belt width. For a floppy leather belt, loops would be a more secure choice.

I say keep a few IFAKs and CATs in the glove box of your car or in a bag in the spare wheel compartment. Its more important now that you have kids to keep it close by.

IFAK stays in my car or a get home bag. Been looking at micro trauma kits for small of back carry but seems bulky for edc. Leaning more towards getting more sealed pocket kits and stashing them at my job and home in addition to the one in my car.

All vehicles have a FAK that have a few cat, chest seals, bandages, bunch of other goodies, diaper bag also has a fak designed around my twins age, at home we can one in high risk areas like kitchen, garage. Biggest thing I need to do is fresh up on the heimlich maneuver.

If you're not using tacticool minimalist shitter wallets, you can put some medical items into your wallet. It won't be much (SWAT-T tourniquet, gauze pad, gloves, ibuprofen, bandaids, idodine cotton swabs) but will be better than nothing. Make sure to put all of that stuff into Ziplock bags because the insides of a wallet are unhygenic as fuck, regularly check the bags for any damages.

Agreed. I like the miniature gizmos that fit on keychain; mini swiss army knife, mini tape measure, and a mini windshield punch/belt cutter. Wallet and phone completes the getup. I don't carry a pistol. Rest of the SHTF certified paranoia kit is in my car.
