I just got a brn10 for 600 bucks and a reblued makarov, from my buddy. I saw that brownells is now selling the stripped upper. Im about to purchase one, throw on a faxon 6.5cm 20in gunner match barrel, throw on an a1 fsb, and get a cryptic NiB bcg(i like them). The intent is to make it a softer shooting rifle to use for hunting (been using 6.5cm for hunting lately). Rifle is 7lbs and some change. Ive shot it, and it was fun, but i want something different than 308. Money isnt really a factor with this build, just think it might be cool.

yes. especially if its a hot day and your balls are swinging low. That extra weight will reverberate exponentially with every recoil.

Numrich still has G3 wood furniture for sale. Be advised the G3 backplate does NOT fit the PTR91 GI.

Hmm...this actually interests me...too bad they dont have the lowers for sale yet. Thought the barrel and bcg was proprietary for brownells, but their site says dpms pattern for both. Sucks that you cant use magpul mags on the BRN-10.

HK91 stocks are different. They have a built in spring guide and buffer plate in the back. You're fine. That disc/plate in the back with the protrusion in the middle takes care of it.

So im gonna need a little help here.

I bought the belgian style flash hider for my SA58, but can't get it on past the last quarter turn. I've turned the hell out of the thing, and I'm afraid ill damage the barrel if I try any harder. Im getting some kroil in today and Ill soak the fucker for a day or 2, but other than that I'm not sure what to do.

Any of you guys have advice?

You're wrong. I have a G3 wood set that came off of a real G3 on my ptr91 gi and it everything fits and functions with no modification.

Backplate on set I recieved does not fit. Grooves on the side do not line up. It also stops at an angle.

No. You should buy a PTR and an M1. M1 first.

You have to lift up while pushing it in. It goes dude trust me.

This, I love my PTR but I'm trying to get some cash together for an M1 before the CMP dries up for the foreseeable future.

Catches on the trigger pack and the grooves on the side of receiver. From above it looks as though my receiver is a hair or two too wide.
